I would say that if you're trying to lose weight, go to just casein at night. Drop the whey. Extra calories. Really just a half cup of low fat cottage cheese and a few fish oil caps would be all i'd eat before bed if I was cutting weight.
Creatine may very well be helpful in maintaining your strength in the gym while working on a calorie deficit. It shouldn't mess with vascularity at all, but if you feel that it does, it's pretty easy to simply stop.
Other than fish oil and creatine (neither of which is just for cutting, but will certainly help your body during a weight-loss period) I'd say drink a TON of water. Again, not just for cutting, but it can help with energy and stamina while being short on caloric energy.
While I do believe that some of the caffeine-based fat-burners actually do help some people lose weight, I have never in my life recommended one (on here or at the store) because:
1. The benefits are largely caffeine-induced appetite suppression, which to me seems like a replacement for self-control.
2. Many, many people have complained about heart-palpations, lack of sleep and immune-system suppression leading to a cold.
3. The cost per bottle never seemed worth the small help they give.
4. All too often (though not in your case) people ask me about them "because they have no time to exercise". I immediately tell them not to buy the shit and find the time to exercise. I have been "scolded" for missing commissions like this. ("They come in looking to buy a $50 bottle of Xenadrine, and somehow they end up with you over there, looking at the $10 bottle of fish oil and holding a list of websites!!!
