Default How bad is chocholate on bread

so im kind of addicted to this thing called "nugatti" which basicly is chocholate meant to put on bread. Obviously its not very healthy, but im wondering how unhealthy this really is? I kind of want to stop eating it because it seems like i get very "empty full" like i cant eat more but its just because of all that chocholate.
I also heard that having a diet which is high on suggar can cause sleep problems, thats what really made me want to quit, since i eat huge ammounts of this thing, never anything else on bread and i eat alot of bread!

It won't kill you. In those terms, it's not bad.

In other terms, feeding your body food with little nutrients that is high in sugar seems like a pretty bad choice.

What kinda bread. Some breads are as devoid of nutrition as chocolate.

Like it matters what kind
More important is how that bread and chocolate fit in the rest of the food, which I would be interested to hear about!

I believe that Nugatti is basically the same as Nutella (yum!) It has a lot of sugar (20g in a 37g serving). Have it as an occasional cheat. I wouldn't eat it everyday, though.

Here are the Nutrition Facts for Nutella:

Serv size 2 tbsp. (37g)
Calories 200
Fat Cal. 200
Total fat 11g
Sat. fat 2g
Trans fat 0g
Total Carb. 23g
Fiber 2g
Sugars 20g
Protein 2g

Ingredients: Sugar, Peanut Oil, Hazelnuts, Cocoa, Skim Milk, Reduced Minerals Whey (from milk), Partially-hydrogenated Peanut Oil, Soy Lecithin, Vanillin.

Im gonna stop eating it then. Hopefuly i can do it.
The bread i think is good, its homemade, and if i go out and buy bread, i have to eat about twice as much before i get full.

and the rest of the food, im afraid i dont really have a set diet, i try to eat alot since im trying to gain some mass and i stay off candy and eat real meals about 5-6 times a day. Dinner is whatever my parents make, and as a post workout meal i usually eat 4 eggs, thats about the only set thing about my diet. Oh.. and i drink TONS of milk :P

You need carbs, post workout. Not advising to each chocolately bread, but if you are going to eat it...

Yes, that's true. But you need carbs, too. Fat's about the only thing you don't need right after a workout. Fat might not hurt, but the time for a large protein and carb 'meal' is after working out.

In theory, after lifting, you want carbs to spike your blood sugar/insulin and protein to rebuild/repair your muscles. The two work hand in hand.

One theory on fats and high insulin is that when you have fat in your system and your insulin spikes, you can more easily store fat as fat. Maybe.

However, fat also slows digestion of food, so it's not optimal after a workout. Also, since fat's 'optional' at this time, those fat calories can better be used by providing more useful calories. Namely C and P.

Nutella is like crack. I lived off that stuff on ritz crackers, apples and anything else when i was a student in Italy (since i couldn't find peanut butter anywhere).

I'd be careful, it's calorie dense and doesn't have a lot to offer nutrient wise.

Read that article Lost Dog, so i should get some kind of drink? My parents are kind of old fashioned and wont let me buy any suppliments exept mulitivitamins, they probobly think suppliments are the devil himself.
Any way i can make a simple but good shake myself post workout or something? And how about Oat meal? i dont really like it, our microvave is busted so i have to eat them cold, but it has alot of carbs and protein, dunno about the fat though.

And i really love eggs and ive heard that its good protein for you, so i dont want to ditch them in total, maybe i could have some boiled eggs before i go to bed?

And this post workout nutrition i make myself will probobly only be this summer, since my parents are gone, usually i workout right after school and when i get home i eat dinner.

karky, chocolate milk is pretty good post-workout, so you can give that a shot.
