Default Nutrition Gurus - Help evaluate these protein supps.

Ok my wife went to the store, and bought me 2 supps I've never heard of.

"Champion Nutrition HeavyWeight Gainer 900"
http://www.supplements101.com/store/...avyweight9.htm

and

"Champion Nutrition Metabolol II Met 2"
http://www.supplements101.com/store/...p/chamet22.htm

Are these any good? Could someone pls take a look at the nutritional profile of these and compare maybe to ON or Metabolic Grow (what i usually buy)?

Im confused, especially the "gainer" one. Specifically the "Sugars §42 g".
What is that "§" and doesnt 42 grams seem absurd? Is this a glorified bucket of sugar? or am I missing something?

Also, the Met 2 seems decent, but again i'm curious about the sugar in that one as well (15g). Is that bad for 18g of protein? Whats a good rule of thumb?

Which of these would these be best
a) before workout
b) after workout
c) before bed
or d) never

I'm trying to bulk, but not "bulk fat" if that makes sense.
Thanks in advance!

" § Includes lactose sugar"

also note that because malto is technically a complex carb it doesn't add to the sugar listed, so both have more. I'd probably keep both to around w/o time.

how do they compare to ON/MD? different type of product, more along the lines of muscle milk.

The Metabolol could be mixed w/ some whey protein to make a good post-wo shake.

The 'gainer' one is nutritional garbage and I wouldnt drink it.
