Hi guys,
Sometimes, at 2am I need to refuel for the long night of studying, I go down to McD's and get 2 double cheese burgers with a black coffee. I have learnt that its wise to remove the extra buns so i end up having all the beef inbetween just one bun. The burger consists of beef (lean, the claim) onions, cheese and some tomato sauce. I am trying to lean out and do this maybe twice a month. Am I heading in for trouble?

There are certainly better choices than a Mickey-D's cheesburger if you're trying to lean out.
Try any lean source of protein (chicken breast; egg whites; cottage cheese; etc.), and a slower-burning carb source (oatmeal; brown rice; lentils; etc.), and you'll be better-off, both in terms of your physique, and your ability to pull an all-nighter.

Considering your in college I do think this will lead to trouble. College students already have enough trouble keeping an active social life while trying to eat healthy 90% of the time. If your already cheating once or more a week in addition to this then it isn't good for you. If this is your weekly cheat then what a waste!
I could tell you what part of the cow is typically used for a Mickey-D's burger, and it's not what you'd think (get your mind out of the gutter, it's not that either).
ground beef to start with is not the best meat choice (lower saiety levels that other protien sources) . I suspect that McD's uses the same oil for their burgers as the use for their frys, which aslo means you are getting more than your share of trans fats, not good.
I do not know how they get the lean claim, because I do not know of anything greasier than double cheezeburgers (triple cheezeburgers, if there is such a beast).
I think that you are heading for trouble if you are going to make McD's a regular part of your diet. If you do HAVE to eat take out at McD's you are better of with a Chicken fillet burger, no bun, no sause, but basically you are better off with almost any other food choice than Mickey Dees.
