Odorless Fish Oil Caps
So in the past, I've had serious issues with fish oil burps - to be honest, it has kept me from taking them. However, I recently found some that are odorless. Per the label, they have an "enteric" coating that protects the softgel until after it reaches the lower intestine.
I've been taking them for a couple weeks and they appear to work - no fishy burps!
Any issues with these that you guys are aware of?
Thanks in advance.

I use the same kind. I haven't had any digestive problems or anything. Did it say "lower intestine?" That isn't very accurate. the lower part of the large or small?

Most of the fat obsorption occurs in the small intestine. So I am just guessing it means in the later half of the small intestine.

"Lower" isn't supposed to be taken as anatomically correct. Just letting people think that they won't have the problem of fish oil burps.
Don't over analyse everything dude you'll be here forever.

I think he is using the same ones I got:
Spring Vally Enteric Coated Fish Oil 1000mg
I got mine at walmart, 9.99 for 250 caps.

These are "Nature Made"...I got them at Wallgreens. But the ones Kevin has sound like a better deal. I had trouble finding them in larger quantities but 250 caps for $10 sounds good.
I had serious fish burps whenever I took more than one so I wasn't getting enough to be of any benefit, I think. So this helps a lot.
How many are you all taking per day?

Yeah those work good (enteric)...also keep them in the fridge, this prevents the fish burps too.

about 10. 2 at every meal. Just to meet my fat needs. I know this sounds like a lot.
Currently I am taking in 21 a day because I am on the Velocity Diet.

Are there other benefits to taking fish oil capsules other than making sure you get enough of the good fats?

I've tried the refrigerator thing...that didn't work for me. Not sure how temperature would keep the oil from smelling. May keep them from spoiling but not smelling. Someone would have to explain the science behind that.

I think the theory behind refrigeration is that the capsule will take longer to disolve, perhaps further along in your digestive tract.
