Default Metobolic Typing

Has anybody heard or have any experience with this? Is is some type of test you can do to see what foods your metabolism responds well and poorly to. I heard about it on Strengthradio.com and it sounded pretty interesting.

There is the blood type diet but it has been largely discredited.

On the "massive eating" diet and "massive eating reloaded", he talks about getting insulin and other levels drawn to try to clarify things but I'm not sure that is what you heard about.

Darn, I thought this thread was about how many calories I was burning by typing this message. But if that's not the case, I might as well stop typing now...

I think eventually they will be able to do genetic tests and blood tests and RECCOMEND a certain way of eating.

There is a test you can do about what foods can cause inflammation (I think we call it immunology here,I don't know about the US). It costs about 500$ here, so I couldn't do it soon.
Metabolic typing is a cool thing in itself, I just have trouble believing it is the same your whole life.
There is a book by Dr Wolcott that I own that makes it very simple to do a self test and gives cool ideas about monitoring your reactions to foods, but nothing extraordinary. It basically stems from your type as a sympathetic or parasympathetic dominant and a slow or fast oxidizer and then it goes into how you would handle macros based on that. I was relieved to find I was a protein type, but I must say after a few months of low carb people start answering positively to being protein types as opposed to how they were before when I did the test with them. So, I am taking it all with a grain of salt. Interesting beyond doubt though. Dr Mercola has all about it on his site.
