Wow, thanks for the article Alex...

I'm glad I don't eat that crap, but it's sad to see how many people do on a daily basis. I work in healthcare and you'd be surprised at the amount of employees (who should know better) go there for lunch every day. Then they always wonder why they feel so sluggish, fatigued and depressed in life.

I try to give them some beneficial info every now and then while eating something healthy I brought from home, but it is only drowned out by the chomping of big macs and slurping of 32 oz. sodas.

So whatever happened with that McD's announcement a few months ago that they would eliminate trans fat from their menu!? Now we find out there was even more than they said. Yeesh.

I don't know about your coworkers, Anubis, but mine just don't care. They know it's unhealthy, but it's always "this is all I have time for" or some other excuse.

Yeah it's always some excuse and then a heart attack comes at 42, "oh he was so young, why did this happen??" Ignorance is very costly. Haven't eaten at McDonald's in 2 yrs. I plan on out living that chain.

I'm sure this comes up every two years, but which olympic athletes, exactly, are the ones that eat at the McDonald's in the Olympic Village?

I wonder if that McDonald's serves up healthier fare than the typical restaurant.

I actually like their salads and grilled chicken sandwiches, but when I eat there, I'm usually surrounded by people wolfing down burgers, fries, sodas, and shakes.

I guess I think it's strange that McDonald's sponsors the Olympics.

I think you're on to something Lost _Dog, I can see specially made items for olympians. I wouldn't put it past them for the food to be tailored to each athlete to help them perform better. Nothing really wrong with that, I can't blame the athletes. I'd actually support McDonald's if they offered healthier items. Oh, and I lied. I get refreshments at McDonaldds whenever they have the monopoly game. I always get the same 3 stinkin railroads!

I'm a diet soda junkie, so there's no fast food safe from my visits. Some are merely harder to eat at than others. Some are good in some areas of the menu and lacking in others. Most have got grilled chicken salads, at least.

That's what I usually go for when we go out to eat. My friends think I'm nuts cuz I carry a small container of fat free dressing. If I get tempted with fast food, I usually end up going to subway. It's like fast food but so much healthier. I heard on "Super size me" that fast food chains are to have a little pamphlet with nutrional values, I haven't seen any actually in the store, have you?

Pretty much all of the fast food places either have a poster of their nutritional values or a pamphlet. But you sometimes have to ask for it. It's not always sitting out.

I like McDonald's Newman's Own Light Balsamic. Even if it's not perfect, I only use half the packet, so 25 calories can't do much damage, no matter what it contains. But, it's not really that bad, anyway. The ingredients list passes my "okay in moderation" guideline for myself.
