So here is an idea:

Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky! I understand there are some great mountain bike trails there. It is about 6 hours from Chicago and 5 and a half from Little Rock. This could be a great long weekend in the fall. It could be like a Fall JPFitness Outdoor Retreat. Just an idea! Check out this link for cycling road and mountain biking.

ODB

I would be interested in joining you all. I have not ridden there yet. It would great to meet you guys and ride with you. Of course I'm still very new to MTB so I may not be able to keep up.

Also you might want to ask the Locals via http://www.kymba.org/forums/

I'm feeling serious about this! Maybe a three day weekend. Kaiser, Silly, bmp8ter where are you on it? Should it be a child friendly thing? I've got lots of stuff to bring like canoes and canopies. We could reserve a whole area of a campground if we get enough people.

I know we have people in the midwest who could make this easy. Not that far from St. Louis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Cincinati, etc. Riding bikes, mountain and road, canoeing hiking, trail running, drinking beers, peej's and grilling some meat! Give me some more ideas!

Here's an idea: why don't you all plan to go rafting, climbing, riding, and hiking in WV with me!

I'd be interested (as long as it wasn't the weekend you guys bailed out on rafting the Gauley and riding the mountains in WV with me which is the weekend of Sept 16th). Anytime before that is OK, after is highly dependent on the weekend.

August would be ideal for me.

August & September might be out for me. I'm thinking cool weather like early October. Have to check on hunting season issues too.

Man, you know I'd love to go to West by God Virginia but the time and funds will not handle that trip. Maybe next time.

I dunno what my summer looks like yet. We just won a fairly sizable contract with the Water Dept., so I may be pretty busy.

I will probably ride down there by the end of June, if that happens I will take pictures and post and give a review of the trails, which I have heard good things about anyways.

Congrats on the contract bmph8ter. Sounds like some more spending money for bike-related stuff.

I road LBL this past weekend and must say the trails out there are awesome. Nice rolling single track. I have pictures, but have to get them developed. Also road at Lake Barkley State park which is about 1/2 hour away. It was great to. There is 10 mile loop at Lake Barkley that has some good climbs and some technical rocky stuff along with switch backs. I liked Lake Barkley so much I will be back there on 7/31 for the race they having out there. Also will be hitting LBL again before the summer is out.
