I would be embarrassed to log my miles on a site with the number of miles those guys are logging! Good lord!

ODB, you should log your mileage and training in your very own training log!

'Fat ass' or 'fast ass'? KDB. Better than DSB.

Fat ass - it was Sarah's idea. She and her husband are racking up some numbers. They just did a vacation riding the Katy Trail in Missouri. I wish I had the time to ride that they have!

Don't complain. I wish I had a wife who was up for riding that much like Lisa and Sarah. Well, at least I'm getting her to start lifting again....

I fully expect to see you three on the Eco-Challenge on day.

Get her on a bike ride in the country on a nice warm day. Take it easy, carry a bottle of good wine and some sandwich makings. Stop in a field for some lunch. You'll make a believer out of her.

She rides... with a Burley in the back for 5 miles at most.

Great idea, but.....country? Huh? Warm? Chicago? Wine? Teetotalers. The kicker is that I'm the romantic, she is most definitely NOT. She's not a big adventurous outdoor person - she even hates going in hikes through the forest preserves with me. So I think the entire experience would be lost on her.

Listen, it's the rare man that can workout/exercise with his wife. Enjoy it. Most of the guys here will tell you, it ain't that common.

Okay, Okay, I give up. I was lucky enough to break in my wife early to being outside. She had never even been camping but I took her on her first backpacking trip when we had only been dating for 3 months.

Yesterday she wanted to go do pinnacle mountain and I talked her into a 20 mile road ride instead. She's crazy, I've created a monster!

I was going to try to bust ODB out about the whole wine thing but then he reminded me that our first backpacking trip we had wine with dinner and grand marnier after. Of course, that was after we missed the trail head and had to bushwhack for half the day and scramble up a tree to get back on the trail. Our last long ride we did stop at Sonic in the middle for grilled chicken...I guess that's as good as a romantic picnic, right?
Hey Kaiser, keep asking, maybe she'll find a route she enjoys for some reason. Find a route with a great local restaurant that doesn't mind grubby people or a flea market or antique mall or something else cool to do in the middle. Just a thought. There are rides I don't enjoy, I do them because I feel the "need" to get better at those #(%*&ing hills. Insanity
