I had planned on doing it but it is the same weekend as the Ozark Challenge (adventure race). If, for some reason I don't do that then I will try to get into the Ouachita Challenge.

I have done the womble trail (most of the course) before. You are in for some sweet riding, wicked hills and tight singletrack. One of my teammates (Sarah) and her husband are going to do it this year.

No offense to Arkansas, but if I'm traveling somewhere to ride my mtb, it's gonna be Moab or the Pacific NW or even WV (where I rode last fall).

Kaiser, you spend too much time reading the biking mags. The womble is one of the best trails in the country. I would like to ride some of those other areas not for something better but for something different. Oh yeah, check out flights from Chicago to Little Rock compared to getting to those other places.

You were in WV...that's less than three hours from home for me.

Kaiser, not only is the Womble one of the best trails, it is also home to many of your buds here in the forum who would want to go for training rides with you and knock down a few beers afterwards. See if you can get THAT in Moab!

Well I was trying to get my buds (read you, Joe/Lisa, Cap, and others) to go rafting and riding with me in WV. I guess I'll just have to head on down to Little Rock.

Anyway, I'll just let Colin Raye's lyrics answer for me:

I think I'm on a roll here in Little Rock
I'm solid as a stone baby wait and see
I got just one small problem here in Little Rock
Without you, baby I'm not me

I haven't had a drink in 19 days
My eyes are clear and bright without that haze

Okay Kaiser - You've been shut inside a little too much this winter, haven't you?

Then you have one more reason to have nice things to say about Arkansas...Colin Raye is from Arkansas. I saw him in concert here YEARS ago. You should come ride the womble, I've only been on it once but would like to go again. (Joe manages to go to that trail every time I'm out of town) My definition of sweet ride is still Oak Mountain State Park in Birmingham. Give me winding single track in the cool shady forest any day!
