The Vuelta a España was rocked overnight following reports that the UCI informed Phonak team doctor Iñaki Arratibel that blood samples taken Aug. 19 and Sept. 18 showed traces of mixed blood cells. Follow-up tests were scheduled for later Tuesday.
I refuse to believe LA dopes, but know enough guys in my cycling group who are avid racing followers who say that they are sure he does - along with his teammates. The last bit of 'evidence' offered by them was to take a look at the last ITT results at the TdF2004. All of the Postal riders, they say, placed extraordinarily high. Too high for every one of them who isn't a TT specialist.
Again, I don't believe this crap, and I firmly believe you are innocent until proven guilty, but then I also donate to Lance's Foundation and wear the yellow bracelet, so I am predisposed to being biased.

His blood sample from the Olympics was tainted because teh froze it, rendering it unusable. As a result, he'll probably keep his medal. The other two positive samples remain, which could result in a 2 year ban. These things can take a year or two to work their way to a conclusion. Still, 3 out of 4 tests is pretty conclusive in my mind....
