Treat biking like any other exercise activity as far as calorie burn and replacing kcals, except that you consume carb drinks (like Gatorade or Accelerade or Cytomax) during long rides so as to keep glycogen levels up and prevent 'bonking'. When you really get going (rides over 3-1/2 to 4 hours) then you need to start planning out your meals before that ride to keep your energy up (why cyclists, like marathoners, eat plenty of carbs like pasta the night before a big ride or race).
