Default Good Mt. Bike rides in Denver, CO

I am going to Denver for a week (W/ Bike) and was wondering if anyone knew of any good mountain bike trails to make sure I find.

APEX is one I have found that seems to have good reviews

Welcome to Colorado! I'd recommend Green Mountain Trail / Colorado Trail for great single track.

Thanks so much for the recommendation!
(The videos / photos look very cool)

Why do you recommend this trail over APEX?

Daughter (Elayna - 15) plays travel / Club Fast Pitch Softball...
Team plays in big tournament called Sparkler whole family will be going for a week with lots of time to do other things...I hope to ride many times that week.

I am only rider (wife does not like the technical stuff) if you are interested...join me.

There are also some pretty good, level 1 paved trails all over the state if your wife wants to ride non-technical. Cherry Creek trail is fun.

Default Denver is beautiful

Report back...fficeffice" />
Ride called APEX was amazing (Did it two different days).

2 hour 10 minute exhausting ride!
Very long technical climb (took well over 1 hour to climb)
The decent was incredible and technical, lots of roots and rocks in and out of pine trees.

I have not been that tired in a long time but it was worth the sweat.

Turned one corner and a large deer was about 15 yards from me...just stared at me and then after 20 seconds slowly walked up the mountain.

Awesome ride, great hikes as well - Denver is beautiful

(Outdoor Concert Amphitheater at "Red Rock" was also amazing http://redrocksonline.com/)

Unfortunately I was only hiking in area...nobody good was playing that week. It still was beautiful to walk around.

Many people were running the steps (workouts)
