I found a 2001 Trek 1000 Alpha series on Craigslist and picked it up today for $300. It seems to be in good condition and supposedly has been hanging on a wall in the garage for the past 6 years. I've never ridden a road bike before, so tomorrow's ride should be interesting.
I'm one step closer to being ready for my first triathlon.

Here you go. I'm going to take it get tuned up later this week, and I'm going to redo the tape. Other than that I think it's going to work great for my triathlons.

Spend an extra $100 and get a pro bike fit from a good shop. It'll save lots of trial and error in getting comfortable and possibly save you some injuries.
