A couple of weeks ago Arkansas State Parks opened the Fern Hollow Mountain Bike Trail at White Oak Lake State Park in Southwest Arkansas. Within minutes of the dedication we had the inaugural ride. We took it easy on the ride for two reasons (1) This trail has a lot to see including some trail side exhibits and we wanted to take it all in, and (2) I was scheduled for a hernia operation in about a week and I needed to take it easy.
I apologize for the poor quality of the video, I'm still learning the borrowed equipment and editor. Anyway, enjoy.

No, she is too busy racing. But that's Lisa in front of me the whole time. I edited out the part where she got in front of the other two guys and dropped me like Palin was dropped from McCains Christmas card list.

Well, it's hard to ride and film at the same time. I've tried it and damn near hit an 800lb cow elk. She was pretty on camera until she almost killed me!

I'm still working out kinks with using the camera. The main reason for my wimpyness was due to a hernia. I had my operation a week later (last Monday). Now I'm out of commission for the next couple of months. I really miss my bike.

Hernia's blow. I've had one, and it was awful. Speedy recovery my friend.

Don't have one anymore. Now I just have a scar in my side and pain if I lift stuff so no lifting stuff. I'm 2 weeks out from the operation and should be able to ride this weekend (a little) and hope to start training in about 2 or 3 weeks. Right now I walk a lot.
