I am thinking of buying a new bike since my last one was stolen back in October. I was at the local bike shop and found a pair of Cannondales that seemed pretty nice.
That is the bike I was looking at, they had 2 models. $499 CND for the bike with V-Brakes and $599 CND for the same bike with disc brakes.
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with Cannondale bikes or if I should check out any other brands. The only other brand I noticed in this particular shop was Gary Fischer (sp?)

I have an older Cannondale r1000 and love it. It's a road bike, so I don't know if that helps you out at all. Everyone I know that's had a Cannondale-road or otherwise-have always said good things about them.
BTW, that sucks about your bike being stolen. I hope you find something you like.

Well seeing as how everyone here seems to love them and I have read some other really positive reviews I guess I will go take it out for a ride and probably buy it if I like it.
Now I just have to decide if it is worth it for me to get disc brakes (though I have heard that if I got v-brakes and wanted to upgrade later it would cost more then the $100 it would cost to get them now.)

I ended up buying the bike I linked above, disc brakes and all. Took it for a ride last night and today and I have to say I am really happy with it. My only complaint at the moment is the seat is hard as concrete so it doesn't make for the most comfortable ride, so I might pick up a new seat or maybe give it a few more days and see if I can adjust to it.
The place I bought it from threw in a free speedometer, and 2 years of service so I am pretty happy about that as well.

Give it a few more days for your butt to adjust. You really, really, really don't want a soft saddle. If it still bothers you it might be a fit issue.

Your misunderstanding my message board English. I meant that I will always go with disc on the mountain bike. Anyway, I better stay on the mountain bike, Lisa just bought a new one. Besides, I really only road bike to improve my mountain biking.
