Default Crit Racing?

I'm trying my hand at crits next Saturday. Have any of you guys or girls crit raced before?

There was actually a really cool crit series when I lived in Steamboat, but the problem was there are a lot of ex-pros that live up there. Now I'm all for a group ride with the Kent Ericksens and Andy Hampstens of the world, but when you get going that fast with those kind of guys, I'm just going to watch, thanks though!
