Default Tour of California

Anyone else watch this last week? Damn, crazy attacks kept coming. My favorite was the last stage, the last day and (curiously) the hardest stage. Hincapie took it, just beating out the charging peloton trying to catch up. Good stuff and I'm happy for George (and Levi, who won the whole thing with his new team who won't be let into the TdF).

Wow, I missed this thread. I loved that last stage, just shows how hard these guys work. That poor dude that was leading - but man, Hincapie covered that gap in about 3 seconds. He's an amazing rider, and you're right K, it was good to see George and Levi do so well. AND - Team Slipstream/Chipotle had a GREAT showing, 2nd and 3rd are not too shabby!

Man, watch out for them! Millar is a good rider with a lot to prove, and he's got some GREAT support with Vande Velde and Zabriskie (who could be a big time dark horse in the Grand Tours). Vaughters is a good cycling mind, I just hope they get a shot in the big races...

Hey in our neck of the woods, bicycling is a mode of transport for wine tours :-0
