Rock the cross bike. I'd love to own one.

Dude! You gonna race 'cross, or just ride it for the 'nasty' season? Cool bike either way!

I had a Trek that I converted, had tri bars on it and all. That would freak people out to see me some flying down single track using the tri bars.

I don't race.

I took 'er out on Friday just to test it out. Bad news is that I need a longer seat post - the frame is a smaller (mtb) one and I need about 2 more inches or so of height. Otherwise, it handled well, the shifting was smooth (even with all the crap I was riding through) and it was good all around.

I like it K. I need to get one of those too. Man, they look fun. I'm just waiting for my new cruiser to show up, that'll be a good fashion bike. Hope you get the parts you need K, looks like a blast!

Ummm, there's a guy taking pulls on a mountain bike? Was this a leisurely ride, or is he just so much stronger that he needs a handicap?

End of the year, Jeff (a mtb racer - I think Cat 3) was just showing off at the beginning of the ride (this was the only ride he rode his mtb too - I guess just for the pics). Kinda messed up the pics. But, at that point we were going uphill at around 25 mph. He is a strong mofo.

But yeah, we don't even let anyone with aerobars on our rides, so the mtb was a goofy exception this time I guess.

Oh yeah, it wasn't pulls, we were doing a rotating pace line, clockwise in the pics. So the pull time was negligible.

PS: Got the longer (and dang expensive) seat post today. Need to put it on and fit it right.

FINAAAALLLLYY, broke it in today on a decent length ride - 25 miles of gravel and dirt trail, plus we did some drills in the grass (bump, push each other, and hit wheels and stay upright). Weather was gorgeous here today, even with 40 mph gusts (which weren't too bad in the forest). Riding in the fall in the forest is almost always great.

Seat and saddle were perfect, but I need to get an angled handlebar stem to get the bars higher - too low.
