finboy is back with a 'somewhat' new toy

Hey everyone,

This is the used bike I bought from a friend in early June. I had specifically promised Ogedei that I would post pictures weeks ago! Sorry, bud...I have been so freakin' busy at work the last 6 weeks - I'm only now coming up for air.

I've never heard of Dawes bicycles, but then I'm not exactly a biking guru (like some here!). For $350, I got the bike with a wireless computer, seat bag with toolkit and spare tube and the shoes. My friend just purchased the bike last fall, so it is fairly new.

So far, it's been great! The clipless pedals took awhile to get used to, but overall I love it. So far, I've only had the time to ride once, maybe twice a week (a 12.5 mile course I'm following). Hopefully I can find the time to take some longer rides with a friend of mine - I've never done a 25 or 35 mile ride. It will be sweet on this bike!

I hope to start posting here at JPs more regularly again, and will start a new training log in the next day or so.

How much does it weigh? Looks pretty sweet though! Wish I could afford some type of road bike. Oh well soon enough!

Fin, I saw your message on MM's log and thought I'd come in and take a look at your new bike.

Nice bike! I especially like the mirror, it looks like you're able to check yourself out while riding.

All you need now is one of those baskets to attach on the front, now that would be sweet.
