Default My new toy

I posted in Multi-sport as well, but I want to show off the new toy!

My new trainer today. Pretty basic Mag Trainer from Blackburn, but I had it out of the box and ready to go in like 10 minutes! Super easy, foldable.

Can't comment on how loud it is as I have little to no experience with them.

Yes of COURSE I have pictures. geez you would think my parents got me this digital camera for YOU guys!

Of course pics of my bike as well.

Out of the box.
10 minutes set-up
20 minutes spinning
10 minutes of intervals
5 minutes spinning
5 minutes cool down

Congrats. I like the front wheel setup. I have a Blackburn fluid trainer and it is nice and smooth and works well.

Isn't it warm enough yet there for Shannon to be out sunbathing and you to be riding outside??

heh I am sure it is warm enough, of course the flaw with your plan is that sunbathing is stationary and biking isn't so I couldn't watch her sunbathe.

In all honesty I suspect I'll ride outside more than use the trainer, but there are days when it is ass outside.

Oh and yeah the fact that it was free was sort of a contributing factor to getting it as well

Og.

Ah, they'll be other guys watching her for you. lol

Free is very good.

Man, don't you have nice elevation changes there in Calgary? Get outside and freakin' ride! I had to teach a spin class early yesterday morning and I wanted to scream at the participants "Don't you go outside and ride???" As it was, I just asked them nicely.

PS: Congrats on your tri! Great job and the pics look good.

Well today would have been a good day to ride, but I just got a new toy and had to give it a shot. Hell we are men and we must at least try the new stuff out. It is actually so nice that I am gonna go for a run as soon as the chicken breasts are done cooking.

And yes we do have alot of elevation changes, especially where I am, which I know to be good, but makes it hard to keep a steady cadence at times and I do really need to work on that still. I suspect I'll use a mix of riding and trainer depending on the outdoor weather.

I had meant to buy a trainer earlier in the year when I couldn't ride outside, but it just never quit happened.

Thanks for the words on the tri, my number is mostly gone now...but not QUITE! It was entertaining for me to walk around in shorts and go to the store with a big black 27 on my left calf
