Default Fitness Summit this weekend

I went to the Fitness Summit this weekend and had a blast. Lots of great information about muscles, injuries, techniques to add flexibility, and lots more.

As a side note, I got to meet ODB and emartin10 in person. I was not able to attend the bike or hike on Sunday. But all that went, were very impressed by the hike's location and the effort that ODB put into setting this up. I think there are some pics posted by Kaiser of the summit and the hike in the Off Topic forum.

Once again.....ODB, Kaiser and emartin10 it was a pleasure to put faces with screen names.

Keep on keeping on,

Scott "Dogg Town" G.

It was good to meet you too Scott. Glad you made it down!

You missed a great hike and ride. Aaron and Sarah whipped some ass, and Joe and Lisa really out did themselves with the ride and pizza devouring that ensued. It was a great time.

Joe,

Here is some math for you to ponder....

1 male child age 2
+
1 female child age 8 months
=

0 free time.

Seriously, it is hard to get away for rides right now. But as the kids get a little older, I plan on kicking it up big time. I really want to get my kids involved in the outdoors. My dad always took us camping and stuff, and I really want to keep that up.

Kaiser,

I am a really shy person, and while I was at the summit I was in full shy mode. Especially after seeing all the regulars talking and visiting, I felt like an outsider. But now after attending and really getting to know the others a lot more. I am going to work on my social skills. I will definitely introduce myself next time. One thing I did not get to do this year, was the meet and greet on Friday night. So I was at a slight disadvantage on Saturday morning.

PS.......the energy drink was pretty good. I even did a little research online about your company.

Scott - I know that math well. I have an 19 year old, 16 year old and 10 year old so I've been there a time or two. It would take some compromise with the sig other but it can be done. I used to use kid backpacks to help and take them along for day hikes and stuff. As a matter of fact when my kids were the age of yours I was an Outings Leader for the Sierra Club. So, if you can find some free time let me know and we'll go hike or bike somewhere.

Scott, don't think I met you at the summit -my bad. Next time you'll have to swing a way to bike with us.

Scott, I think I ran into you at breakfast on Saturday.

It's great that you were able to find any time at all to attend, with the commitments you have at home.

Maybe next year
you'll be able to book the weekend off in advance, and partake in all of the festivities.

I enjoyed chatting with you, Scott. You helped me feel less out of place!

Re the kids: Your life is definitely going to get much, much, much easier. Someday you'll have so much spare time your biggest problem will be dialing back the activity to keep from being injured all the time.
