Default Back to Biking

Last week I got my bike out of the shop after it had been hanging in a garage for about 10 years. It's been raining alot so I took it accross the street where there is a field... lots of puddles, guys use it as a 4x4 track alot. It was a ton of fun but I popped by back tire the first time out.

So I put some new tires and tubes on this weekend and it was fun again. I can't beleive how my legs feel after a ride, I don't remember it being this tough but then again it was 10 years ago.

Its definatly that time! It was 82 here on Sat, 75 on Sunday.

It has been pretty muddy, so I havn't tried anything on the dirt yet. As for your back tire, have you ever tried the pre-slimed tubes? Wal-mart sells them, they are a bit on the heavy side, but I think one summer I was riding on one I had poped 7 times. you will loose about half your air before they reseal, but its better than a flat!

It's looking like time to get the road bike out too!

I actually got it out for a spin this weekend.

Oh how my skills deteriorated. I could hardly ride in a straight line!

My bike is a Schwin. Like I said it's about 10 yrs old or so, but I bought it new back then. And the bike shop did a good job of cleaning it up and getting in good working order.

I bought a treadmil about a week and a half ago, so I can hit that during the week and take my bike out on the weekend mornings. It's been good so far. My wifes been using the treadmil and even went on a ride with me.
