Agreed, you're looking pretty good for only 8 weeks after the birth.

Thanks ladies, I gained 50lbs and have managed to get all but 17 off so far. Thank god for breastfeeding!!

Ok here are my stats and starting photos.

Stats: 8 weeks post partem.
5'8"
169.5lbs
Chest 38.5"
waist 33.5"
hips 39.5"
L thigh 24"
L bicept 13"
Bum 42"
Pics

Goals:
1. To get back where I was. I did the first challenge and got into great shape. Then I got pg had a baby 8 weeks ago and now have to start all over. Pre pg weight was 152lbs.

2. to get into even better shape than I was in when I got pg. To finally see what I can really do with my body now that I am done having kids.

Plan.

I think I will do NROL4W again. I had great success with it. I plan on eating clean but not counting calories. I am exclusively breastfeeding and my little man eats like crazy. I will eat when I am hungry! I don't want to risk having my milk supply depleat.

Ok I have a few minutes so sit and chat.

This pregnancy was pretty hard on me, I worked so hard on getting into shape after having my daughter that is was reall sad for me to watch all the hard work slowly slip away. So much of how I feel about myself is tied to how I feel about my body.

When I look at my NROL4W end pics I am so proud yet mad at myself for gaining so much weight again and lettting myself "go".

This is what the last challenge did for me:
Thought I would share what I accomplished during NROL4W

I need to keep popping back in here to look at my after pics to encourage myself that I can do it again and It is possible to get back into shape after pregnancy!

BEAUTIFUL!!! It is so awesome to see someone share how they have worked hard and accomplished. You did it before and we know you can do it again. This is my first challenge. Looking forward to the communications and to see how we all do. Good luck.

You have the experience of success under your belt already. Just try to not get down on yourself and take it one day at a time. Hell, I wish my before pictures could look like your pp ones. So take heart, you are not as far behind as you think you are.

Thanks again ladies. We are our own worst critics though right?

So today, I strapped baby Justin into the baby bjorn and went for a long walk (3.38km/2.1mi). A decent walk considering he weighs almost 15lbs.

Just went for another short walk witht he whole family after dinner. Not so brisk with a dawdling 2.5 year old and a husband 8 weeks out of back surgery.

My food was pretty good today. Had a rice crispy square. Didn't want to let it go to waste!

Todays plan is to get outside. Hopefully for another long walk. It's gonna be the last dry day for a week or so, I might as well take advantage of it.

I signed up for a bootcamp class on saturday mornings to jump start things. Hopefully it's not to soon for my body to start doing intense workouts like this.

soooo, I guess I am going to have to start tracking my calories. I just punched them in and OUCH! I am way over what I should be even with breastfeeding.

Off to reread NROL4W

So my husband decided last minute to go to the football game, so that put the stops to my exercise plans.

I was able to get in my first new rules workout this morning. Wow, was that ever humbling. I knew I hadn't lifted in a while but I didn't think my dumbells at home would be enough for me to get a work out. Ya, I was wrong.

Stage 1.
Workout 1 A
Squat 2x15x8lbs db (yes I said 8lbs!)
Pushup 2x15 against the wall
Bent over row 2x15x8lbs db
step up 2x15
prone jacknife 2x8

I will try and do my cardio DVD or go for a walk when my daughter goes down for a nap later and if the rain holds off.

I figured out my calories as the book says. I think I will stay at my maintenance calories rather than work at a deficit. I should still see some wieght loss with the breastfeeding and needing extra calories. If not, once I am done stage one I will look at it again.

I woke up this morning and weighed myself: 167.5lbs!!!! That means 15lbs to go!

Managed to get out for about a 40 minute walk last night before dinner.

I am hoping to do my cardio DVD today. I am pretty sore from my first workout yesterday! A good sore though, I have missed that feeling!

Didn't manage a walk yesterday, just had a lzy sunday with the family. Had a crappy sleep and I am so tired today, but I am gonna force myself to do my work out in a minute!

Hopefully I can finally get into the gym tomorrow morning. I am soo excited!

LOL! I've had days like that. Hopefully you won't have too many of the I-can't-sit-down-to-pee-b/c-my-legs-are-too-sore days......

LOL today was much better for sitting down!

I got to the gym this morning and it felt sooo great being there! I only did cardio, but it was just nice being out of the house doing something for myself.

4 days after I gave birth to my son, my husband had back surgery, so I have been playing nurse to a 2.5year old, new born and a large husband.

I haven't had any "me" time for about 3 months.

Todays workout
15 warm up on treadmil
20 intervals on treadmill
3.5 walk 5.5 run
15 minute steady state

Had a really busy day yesterday. Had some visitors and then had a get together to go to, so I didn't get my workout in. I will do it this afternoon while my daughter naps and also do my cardio DVD.

I feel great this morning. The little guy slept through the night for the first time!!!

Default Good Luck!

I hope I can do as well as you did in the last challenge...and your current photos are fantastic! Where the heck are the stretch marks (my belly looks like railroad tracks!).

Take care!

Oh Don't worry, they are there. I never got them with my first pregnancy, but this one I got a ton! I think the tan kinda helps hide them.

So I had a super busy weekend, the weather was beautiful so we were out and about a lot and had lots of visitors.

I managed to get my second stage 1 workout A in and I also did bootcamp on saturday morning.

I have a Dr.s appointment this morning, the little man has to have his first set of shots. If he copes well with them I will head to the gym after. The regular daycare lady is back from holidays so I can finally take the kids with me.

I will log my workouts a little later.

First shots can be tough...I found a little pain/fever reliever about an hour before the appointment helped...oh, and something for the kid as well!

Poor little guy did great. He is also already 15lbs at 9 weeks. No wonder I am losing weight faster this time. I nurse him non-stop!

Ok so I made it to the gym, I can now update what I have been doing.

THursday
Work out A#2

Squat
2x15x8lbs

Pushups
against wall 2x15

Bent over row
2x15x8lbs

Step up
2x15x BW

Jacknife
2x8

Definatly ready to kick this one up in the gym.

Saturday
BOOTCAMP!

8AM
Warm up
2 laps around school feild

5 sets of jump squats and side suffles

circuit one

Pushups agains picnic table x12
dips x12
step ups on picnic table x15
run up 2 story fire escape x4
10 meter sprints x8

rest

circuit 2 1minute intervals
pull ups
crunches
one leg romainian deadlifts
lunges
jump squats
rows with bands
cardio- lap around school feild

abs
lots of ab crap that I can't yet do

Today
20 minute cardio warm up
Workout B #2
Deadlifts
2x15x30lbs

DB shoulder press
1x15x12.5lbs
1x10x12.5lbs/5x10lbs

Lat pulldown
2x15x60lbs

Lunges
2x15xBW

Crunches
2x15

So, yah, bootcamp kicked my ass! I thought I was going to puke, but it was a beautiful morning and it was great to get outside. THis weekend might be a different story.

It really did show me how week my abs are though. I defiantly have to work on that.

My work out was better today though, but a bit rushed. I was also trying to show my mom around the gym too, so far she only wants to use the machines, so it was kinda tough, setting her up and trying to get my stuff done when I only had an hour.

I have been a little lax on the cardio, I just feel so busy these days, I don't know where the day goes! Hopefully once my daughter has her preshcool schedual all figured out I can start getting my days into more routine.

My eating was terrible this weekend. I think I burned so many calories at bootcamp that I basically binged all day. I just felt so hungry. I am gonna have to watch that next weekend.
