Yeah, but then you're doing the tour, so maybe we can plan something around that...your own cheering section!

Yoga today. I was in a black, foul, icky, bad mood and I realized it's because I hadn't gotten any real exercise in. I've been walking vigorously and hiking--scoping out places to do bootcamps--but it just isn't the same. My yoga class had me trembling and sweating and I feel MUCH better. Capoeira tonight, then I'm attending a forum on writing autobiographies and self-publishing--a friend is speaking there. She has been encouraging me to write a book with my father about the Seattle music scene and my weird childhood--my parents founded the Woodstock of the Pacific Northwest, Sky River Rock Festival in '66 and '67. In any case it should be interesting, but it's going to be a loooonnng day.
The scale is actually UP for no good reason. I am refusing to freak out--my midsection is much leaner, to the point where DH noticed this AM __"Look! A waist!". I was so pleased I did not strangle him.

Yay!

Trained my father yesterday. For a 75 year old man he is in amazing shape. He knocked out 15 pushups and then said, "I haven't done those in 30 years--I had no idea I could do it."
I'm having my mom take a pic of him because I suspect he's going to pile on muscle like I do.

That is very impressive!
He must have a great trainer

Sorry - not on my best game these days, plus it's hard to tell tone from the text sometimes.
Been meaning to ask - how does it feel to be a trainer/making a difference?
Are you using kettlebells for yourself or for your clients yet?
I guess I need to be more proficient in Winky-Face.
I only have a couple of clients right now--I'm working doggedly on putting everything together. That's the disadvantage of working for yourself--and I'm such a perfectionist I'm not going to put something lame out. It'll take a little while to get going, I'm planning a big launch after the holidays--joining the Chamber and all of that. I know a lot of people in the business community in my area, so I'm going to be working on reestablishing connections with my new identity.

WHAT??!! You say that hiking isn't real exercise? You are not that far away from me in Sunny So Cal. We could do a fine hike in the Lake Isabella area, or up near Mt. Pinos, or I'd even drive south for something like Mt. Baldy which I've never done. Just pick a weekend We can do planks on the summit

Conservatives spend as much time being nice, as Liberals do talking about being nice.
BTW: Tonight for dinner I am eating rice and a can of black eyed peas ~total cost, about 95 cents. That brings the amount I have spent on food today, up to about $3.85.
True Conservative in every sense of the word . . . sometimes I forget how genuinely cool I am.

Lulz.. it's good to see your face in other people's logs again & read your remarks.
Still sick.. or on the mend?
Envious of your dad's awesome fitness level. What surprises me is that he lets YOU train.. I'd almost think it's a rule how most fathers/moms wouldn't want to be trained by their spouses/children? Is he different than most?
That is cool about your parents...and your Dad sounds like mine. Just strong as ever and when I start to worry about him hurting himself, he proves me wrong. My Dad wasn't cool during the 60's-70's though
I have been sick this whole time. I finally went to the doctor today and he says I have a sinus infection.....it explains everything. He suggested I try the sinus flush thing for the next few days and if it doesn't work I am going on antibiotics for the first time in years.
Unfortunately, this whole thing started as a result of the capoeira classes--both times I took the class I got sick as a dog three days later...with stuff my kids didn't have. So no more community center classes for me. I enjoyed it, but not enough to be sick all of the time.
I have to think through whether I'll keep doing this challenge--it's getting to be too stressful and unproductive for me since my body as usual is not responding to timetables. I'm thinking about it this week.
In other news, I threw away all of my bras and I am now sporting size A bras. Very sad. Actually, with my improved posture I look bigger than I used to--it's all very odd. No one believes I'm an A cup, but I am. Any guys reading this log can disregard this part. ; )
I received Rachel Cosgrove's book yesterday and read most of it--I'll finish it up today as I'm enforcing bed rest on myself.
