If you volunteer to shovel your walkway, get the mail, take out the dog, whatever, every day, you will burn more calories while not burning yourself out.
I admit that the first time I read that I read it as "if you volunteer to shovel our walkway..." and I was thinking that Celeste was pushing it.
Her suggestions are good though, it's the little things that add up.

Funny! I read it as that, too.
I agree with the other advice you've gotten, Summer. Last spring I was doing a lot of high intensity in addition to lots of general activity and I have never been hungrier. Increased activity and cutting out really high intensity worked a lot better because then I didn't feel like I was starving all the time.
Hey, that would work too! We have lots of paths to shovel--house to car, basement door to barn, barn to manure pile, plus we always need the stall mucked!

haha i read things wrong all the time . thanks for the advice =] its nice to have it from people who know a lot more then me haha
Congrats on the deadlift PR! Great job.
As for adding more cardio in, I'd work on that "run a mile a week" goal of yours. It seems like a great place to start. Add cardio in slowly. You don't want to burn yourself out, and remember that your body needs time to repair after working out. Oh! And rest/relaxing is really important.
It's the little stuff that adds up! And it doesn't need to be "formal" cardio, even! You can take an extra trip up/down the stairs, park farther away from the entrance to the store, do laps around your house every hour - stuff like that.
wide-grip lat pulldown 8@70# 2x8@75# (i dont really know if 75# is a pr or not)
lunge 2x8@15 8@20
swiss ball crunch 3x15
i was looking through my log and i think i got a few workouts messed up like when it was a seated row i would put pulldowns and when it was pulldowns i would put seated rows sometimes. oh well. im really excited that stage 1 is almost over! woo! i like nrol4w a lot so far!
Hooray--very nice workout! And those deads looked especially good! Hey I was talking to a couple of your friends here at Denton and they mentioned that they can tell you've lost weight and that you're looking really good! Keep up the good work...
I did this sunday but didnt get to post it till now haha. it was pretty good. i was really tired after. oh and i did the stair stepper for a few min. lol.
i just got done doing HIIT so i did jumping rope, and bw squats for the high intensity part and walking around, walking up and down stairs, and jumping jacks. it wasnt the best because i dont have a timer and i had to use the clock and kinda quess. lol
Good job Summer! That is a nice workout, and good job starting hiit also! How many intervals did you do?
So how is the eating going?
Also, what in the world--you said they CANCELLED the musical?! How and why would they do such a thing? That is horrible!
thanks. I did 4 or 5 i forgot to count lol. Eating is okay. It could be better. Ill start counting calories again tomorrow. ugh. Yeah they canceled the musical. One of the directors is really sick so she quit and the other two directors are new and this is their first year. Im sorta happy it got canceled .. it wasnt fun. It was really not organized and stressful. I just wished it wasnt because she was sick.
