WE WON!!! We played awesome the first half but then started goofing off the second half...the other team started catching up. I have 2 nieces that I'm coaching and boy I yell at them like nobody's business! I did tell them that I WILL yell at them more than anyone on the team because they are my leaders and I expect more from them. I was very proud of my team today!!
Well...no workout today. Tomorrow is Push Circuit 3....back/chest and lower body. Then after workout is basketball practice. Then...I've got a paper to write...it's due tomorrow night/morning at 1am. Ask me if I've started it yet...NOPE! I'm the queen of procrasination!!!
OMG, We have started the LEAN phase of the ChaLEAN Extreme and I think I'm going to LOVE LOVE LOVE this phase!!!! It's tough!! We do compound movements and go pretty heavy and lift for 12 reps. Today was biceps and triceps (and lower body mixed in...compound movements) OMG...my arms have felt like lead since the workout has been over...about 4 hours ago!! I truly feel stronger. Pushups aren't as hard...on my TOES!! Now, if I can just get back into my cardio.......
Well...we had our 3rd game tonight and we won...20-7!!!! I seriously thought it was going to be a tough game. My team did AWESOME!!!! They have been really working hard...and tonight it showed.
I did really good on my eating today. They had steak fingers at work and the rolls are ALWAYS delish....and I ALWAYS get one...today, I didn't. Talk about major willpower. And you know what?? I didn't even miss the fact that I DIDN'T have a roll. Now, if I can just keep it up.....
Ugh, I have a homework assignment due tonight and for some reason, I can't log on the website. It looks like I'm going to miss the deadline...hopefully when I tell my teacher WHY, she'll let me make it up...

Lots of good stuff going on! Go you!

Ugh, sorry it's been a while again. Life...what can I say?
Well bad news: we lost AGAIN on Thursday. By ONE point. Final score: us 6 them 7...can you BELEIVE that score?? Oh we played awful awful awful. My team just didn't show up. Now we are 2-2. We don't have another game until Thursday...so I'm giving them the weekend off (because 3 of my players won't be here). We'll practice hard on Monday/Tuesday and big game on Thursday.
Workouts are going good. I'm REALLY liking the lean phase of this workout. I didn't lift today but I'm going here in a bit. After workout, I'm gonna shower and get dressed, DS and I are headed to Lubbock. I REALLY need to get my eyes checked...get new contacts/glasses. I might do some shopping while I'm there. I MIGHT buy some new running shoes...don't know yet. DH is working...boo!! He wants me to be home kinda early so we can go to the casino and out to dinner later...we'll see!!!!
Well, I'm back from Lubbock...a fast and furious trip. I did get my eyes checked. Got new contacts...YAY! Although my left one is a trial one because they have to order it. I decided to keep my frames and just get new lenses so I have no glasses. I'll probably have to go back to Lubbock on Tuesday and pick them up. I didn't do any shopping like I wanted...DH had called and was home from work. He wanted me to hurry up and get home so we could go out to dinner. I only bought a pair of jeans and sweater from the GAP. Jean shopping wasn't fun...had to go up a size...mostly because of my thighs. Ugh, I hate them!!!
Well...my workout this morning...OMG....my poor poor poor arms! I worked shoulders and chest. The thing I loved about this workout is that I used ONE set of weights for the entire thing!!! It hurt so bad to blowdry and straighten my hair...my arms were dead. I'm totally loving this Lean Circuit.
I've decided that I HAVE to get back into running/cardio. I really want to run that 10K at the end of March. As of right now, I've done ZERO training. I'm 100% sure that if I did my cardio...the weight would just fall off. My eating was really good this week. I took my lunch to work everyday and cooked 4 days this week.
Tonight me, DH, and DS are going to try out this new mexican restaruant...hope it's good!!
Well...I did it! I was at the gym at 5am this morning!!! I did a 2 mile run (20:50) then 15 min. on the ET. I'm REALLY glad I got up for my workout...I felt great all day and it was easier to make better food choices.
I did have a little mishap with my afternoon smoothie. I was shaking it up and I screwed the lid off, but left it on. Then my student came in and I got him situated then I started to shake my smoothie again and of course it flew ALL out. All over ME!!! My brand new sweater!!!!! Of course I don't immediately come home after work and luckily I had my workout clothes. I changed. I had a meeting after work, then workout, then bball practice...so by the time I got home...the smoothie had hardened into my sweater. I shouted it out and washed it...it's still kinda there...so I'm shouting it out again. I REALLY hope it comes out. I love that sweater
Tomorrow I'm planning another 5am workout...probably 45 min. on the ET. I have bball practice right after school...so I won't be getting home until 6 or so.
Today's weight workout consisted of biceps and triceps...talk about FATIGUE!!! I'm still a little sore from Saturday!!!
I know if I eat right, then the muscles I have somewhere under all this fat will show...someday!!
Wow, at 5am I admit that I just roll over and go back to sleep. I'm impressed. Sorry about the sweater though - hope you manage to get it out.
Thanks! I got most of the stain out. My sweater is a grey-ish color...it didn't ALL come out, but you can't really tell unless your looking for it.

Okay, happy Lent everyone!!! I've decided that I'm going to give up bread. For me that's sandwich bread, tortillas, rolls, cakes, breadsticks, etc. YIKES I've also decided that I will run at LEAST 2 miles EVERYDAY. Everyday. I have a gym membership, a TM at home, and the weather has been BEAUTIFUL here lately...so NO excuses. I'm also thinking of going to the stations of the cross every Friday evening. There...my sacrifices are official
Workout was AWESOME today!!! Did 2 miles (whoo!) this morning then did shoulders and upper back. The shoulder was more delt work. I think I do more shoulders on Friday. I know I've said it a million times, but I'll say it again: I LOVE THIS STAGE!!!
Okay...gotta finish getting stuff ready for work tomorrow. OMG, the weather has been GORGEOUS here...I'm talking 85 all week. Aaahhh, I LOVE it!!!
Tomorrow will be an early morning 2 mile run...and probably 30 min. or so on the ET. I also have a basketball game tomorrow. I'm nervous. It's the team we played our first game...and lost to by ONE point...7-8. Yeah, I'm nervous. Wish me luck!!!
So that means no bread / bread stuffs for the next 40 days? Hmmm, I'm not sure I could manage that, but good luck!
Well actually... for me, no bread is: no sandwich bread, tortillas, pizza (we eat pizza every Sunday) rolls, breadsticks, biscuts, and whatnot. I do eat oatmeal and I have 2 crackers today at lunch.
Okay, so it's been a while since I've updated. I've been SUPER busy. This semester of school is a LOT of work...lots of time consuming assignments. Then, at work...well tomorrow is the 3rd and 5th grade reading TAKS test and 4th grade writing TAKS. So, we have been getting ready for that...doing trainings and whatnot. I'm testing a student for the TAKS tomorrow...so it's going to be a LOOOOONG day!
On the workout/nutrition front: I'm definetly feeling stronger. I've gained a couple of pounds since January. I did good today food wise, had oatmeal and skim milk for breakfast, tuna salad and grapes for lunch, orange for pm snack, then 2 crunchy tacos (lean ground beef). I also went for a run at 5am this morning. I did a 2 mile run and 15 min. on the ET. I burned a total of 431 calories today.
Tomorrow will be cardio only...probably 45 min. on the ET.
Wish us luck on the TAKS test tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugh, I want a sandwich SOOOOO bad!!! We ate at Red Lobster on Saturday night and I wanted a biscuit soooo bad. Wow...I didn't think it was going to be this hard!!! No subway, burgers (well the buns), or anything!!!!

It had to be 45-70 questions (all of the material over our textbook for the class) a combination of T/F, matching, multiple choice, and short answer/essay. PLUS we had to turn in an answer key with the page number of the answers...UGH!!! Talk about a lot of work...well for me...someone who WAITS TILL THE LAST MINUTE!!
Okay, so it's been a while since I've been here. Spring break is next week and we are getting ready for that. Nothing special planned, but still. The weather here has been BEAUTIFUL...I'm talking perfect spring weather and guess what??? It's supposed to SNOW on Wednesday! Seriously...only in west texas does that happen. I swear!!!
On the workout/food front: things are good. We are finishing up the ChaLEAN program this week. Then next week is a recovery week, then we come back and start Cathe's STS training...whooo!!!!!!!!!! My running is still crappy. Just spurts here and there...nothing consistent. I did get some new running shoes this past weekend, so I'm gonna test them out tomorrow. I've always worn asics but this time, I got the under armour...I'm nervous about them.
I got a new phone (yay!) and it's an iphone...I love love love it b/c I have downloaded a few apps for fitness/nutrition. So...having that REALLY helps keep me in check.
Okay, I'm not adjusting well to this time change thing. Not at all! I need to get to bed so I can get up for my 5am run.......
OMG you were asking about the TAKS test huh?? I was thinking about MY college...LOL!!!
Well....it was a LOOOONG testing day. One student (4th) grade panicked when it came to the writing portion and blanked out. He cried and refused to write. He's a great student...very smart. So...they called me (b/c he's one of my students that I work with) and I ended up having to finish testing him after I was done testing my 5th grader. I felt so bad for him!!! But he ended up writing a REALLY great story...I'm anxious to see his scores.
Good morning!!! Well, I'm proud to report that I went for my early morning run. I did a 45 min. run (4.43 miles)...I feel good! I bought some new running shoes over the weekend. I REALLY wanted Asics (my one and only), but the ones I wanted were too expensive...so I bought some Under Armour instead. Not sure if I like them...I'm gonna try them out again a few more times and see how they do. If I don't like them...then I'll take them back this coming weekend.
My food intake should be good today (right on target, I hope). I've got my lunch and snacks planned.
We've got another game today...whoo! It'll be a good one.
oh, did I mention that DS signed up for tball yesterday...*sniff, sniff*...he'll be 4 on Sunday, so he makes the age cut off...he's so excited, he kept saying "it's tball time!" yesterday. Wow...how time flies....
Wow, it's been awhile!! Sorry about that! I'm on spring break this week and oh how it's been WONDERFUL. Although I didn't go anywhere, it's just been nice to sleep in, get things done around the house, and do my homework...and stay up late to catch up on my DVR'd shows...
We finished the ChaLEAN program on Friday (3/13). I'm not sure I see changes (which I know is because my diet wasn't all that great), but I DO feel stronger. I can't believe how much easier pushups are for me now!!! When we get back from spring break, we will be doing Cathe's STS...and I'm soooooo super excited about this workout.
I got new running shoes this past weekend....whoo!!! Let me just say...I heart Ascis and no other running shoe compares.
Oh, NSV...my size 6 capris are pretty much falling off of me!!!! DH made a comment the other day and said, "you need some new clothes! Your pants are falling off!!!" I think tomorrow will be a trip to Lubbock with my aunt and cousins...and DS for a girls day out...ok, a girls and Gunner day out...LOL! So, I might do a little bit of shopping....
Sometimes a week off is what you need. Our reading week was in February, and we were very busy before it, but had nothing to catch up on during it. At the time I thought that was a good thing, but now I'm not so sure. Anyway, hope you enjoy the rest of your week off.

I did enjoy the rest of my week off!! Didn't really go anywhere...except to Midland and Lubbock. I'm actually ready to go back to work. I REALLY enjoyed just being home and resting and not having to worry about being ready at x time and being somewhere or doing what someone wants to do...you know?
Well workout recap for this week:
Monday: 45 min. run 4.47 miles (new shoes!!)
Thursday: 3 mile run 30:02
Saturday: 6 miles 60:25
I'm out of Gu Gel and forgot to buy some yesterday...so I wasn't sure how my run this morning was gonna go. It wasn't too bad. I'm debating on whether I want to run a 5k next Saturday. DS has a bday party in Midland that day...which is where the race is at. But we'd have to leave here by 7:30am. I *might* spend the night with my Gram (she lives in Midland) but I don't know yet.
Yesterday felt like a Saturday...probably because I was in Lubbock shopping...and that's a good thing because TODAY is Saturday!!! I have nothing planned....laundry, straighen the house up, etc. My MIL is coming over later to give DS his bday gift...then I think we are going to Hobbs to do some grocery shopping.
Oh...I think I've said this before, but I'll say it again...I HEART MY ASICS!!!!!!!!
Well, I'm sad that spring break is officially over. In a way though I'm kinda ready to go back to work. I think I REALLY needed this past week off...to do nothing and just kind of relax and do what *I* wanted to do. But...all good things must come to an end, right?
I've definietly have a runner's high! I was SO excited about my run on Saturday and I'm excited about my run tomorrow morning! It must be the new shoes...or that the number on the scale is going down?!
I went grocery shopping today and I think I'm set for the week. I've got my clothes ironed, workout bag packed for weights after school, DS's backpack ready, and our lunches all ready to go!
I'm excited for our weight workout tomorrow...we'll be starting Cathe's STS program! WHOO!!!
Well, I peed on a stick Wednesday and it was POSTITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH and I are super excited. WE did finally tell DS...and he wasn't so excited. I don't know if he REALLY understands. Maybe later...when I start showing??
I'm very happy and excited about the news. Only I'm worried about my wokouts. I know I can still workout but not increase the intensity. I will have to modify my runs...and that will be hard because I'm not sure how much to modify them.
Thursday, I went for a 30 min. run and I was going about 5.0-5.5...slow I thought. I usually do 6.0-6.5.
I have a dr. appointment on Thursday...so hopefully he can answer my questions.
Oh, NSV...my size 6 capris are pretty much falling off of me!!!! DH made a comment the other day and said, "you need some new clothes! Your pants are falling off!!!"
Looks like you'll be buying maternity clothes instead!!!
Looks like you'll be buying maternity clothes instead!!!
Ugh, yes you are right!!
Well, I had my first dr. appointment on Thursday. I'm 7 weeks (and I feel and look 4 months...I think) and my due date is 11/20. I've been working out still. Lifting weights...just not going as heavy. I ran Tuesday, but not Thursday b/c I wasn't feeling good. After I finish my decaff coffee...I'm going for a 30 min. run and maybe 15 min. on the ET.
Alright! I'm back from a 3 mile run. It took longer than usual (35 min.) and I took a couple of walking breaks. I find that if I miss my scheduled runs, I'm very cranky and moody.
I burned about 450 calories and I think I ate that and then some at breakfast. DH made eggs, potaoes, and sausage...YUMMY!
Ugh, I've got to get better about posting in my blog! Life has been crazy busy. At school...we are gearing up for 3 straight days of TAKS testing at the end of this month. I feel bad for the kiddos...my brain is fried at the end of the day...I can just imagine how they feel!!!
On the pregnancy front...things are good. I'm officially 8 weeks along. I get my first ultrasound on Thursday. We are excited about that. I still don't really feel pregnant. Maybe it's because I haven't been sick??
Workouts have been good. Still lifting...not really increasing my weight. Running is off and on. Depends on how tired I feel. So now the San Antonio marathon is definetely out of the question since I'm due like 4 days after the race. Hmmm, maybe I could run?? LOL
I'm totally enjoying my 3 day weekend. I've been catching up on homework and housework. Nothing really fun.
