Default Transformers: Robots in Disguise.

New year, new journal. I also have

This month has not been the best for me eating and exercise wise- I haven't been in the gym since December 15th I think I've kinda needed the break though. I feel much more motivated now.

What's on the menu for January? Well I start school again on Monday, and this time around, I'm also working. That adds a little bit extra on to my plate, and on top of keeping the house in order, I'm not exactly sure how it's going to pan out. I'm also feeling really strongly that it's time for my little brother to move out of my house on his own. I need to kick him out of the nest. I also want to improve myself personally. I want to be a more rounded person, continue developing interesting hobbies and shit, just the usual. I want to be more fashionable, shop more, keep up on personal grooming habits (specifically my eyebrows- I tend to let them go ) and finally get my tattoo.

Here we go then. January 1st to July 18th, 2009. Anyone want to tag along for the ride?

A two week break from working out can definitely be a good thing. Good luck with the school, work AND keeping up with the house. I know what a challenge the whole housekeeping thing is for me no matter what the rest of my schedule looks like. Looks like you have a lot planned. Re the eyebrows...I haven't plucked mine since 1981 (that was approximately when Brooke Shields was super popular).

I just got my brows threaded for the first time and I'm really pleased with how they look. And it was cheap.

I'm following alone. I was awestruck by your last challenge progress.

And, I love your log name. I'm so singing this in my head (because my now 26 year old son sang it all around the house when he was small).

I'm a little creeped out by the people threading brows in the middle of all the malls these days! LOL!

Hey there! Subbing to your log...also gotta say, I identify with the keeping up with brows thing. Some of us look like Brooke Shields to begin with! (Eyebrows only, alas!)

I found vitamuffins at the store today! This is a huge deal, as muffins are one of those foods I am always craving and have yet to find a satisfactory substitute for. I hope they are good.

Threading eyebrows? I've never heard of that. I do plucking and I'm gearing up to get them waxed cuz it's next to impossible to keep up with the damn things , but what's threading?

I'm going to cry- it's snowing AGAIN. My part of the world doesn't get a lot of snow usually, but this year is like, record snow falls. The main reason I've skipped the gym for the past oh, 3 weeks, is the snow that makes getting anywhere difficult. Now it's blizzarding.

I WILL go to the gym at some point today.

Because Vancouver is so warm, our snow turns to slush. The streets are like giant puddles. Nevertheless, I ventured out to the gym like a superstar in my new Lululemon pants. Somehow I ended up losing weight over the holidays despite eating way too much and not exercising My legs really lost strength though. I'm at 154.5lbs though, which means I lost 60.5lbs in 2008.

It could be worse... it could hang around all winter (and turn into ice puddles overnight).

We actually had snow here, in the desert, the week before Christmas. Okay, not a ton but it snowed all day nonstop and usually we just get a dusting. It was probably a whole 4 inches deep where I live, deeper in other parts. It was bad enough that most people couldn't get to work the next day. Because we don't get snow our cities aren't ready with the snow plows. And we don't have chains and snow tires. So some of us took a chance and went slipping and sliding to work...only to find we were among a handful who did. By 10 a.m. the snow was slushy and the roads driveable but so many businesses didn't open, including several of our physician offices, it caused quite a disruption. Still, it was a blast! I loved it--go some great pics. And I don't think I'd want to live where I have to deal with serious snow year after year.

Good job keeping up with it even though conditions aren't the greatest.

Yesterday I let too long go between my workout and eating, and had a pig out night. Ah well, back on track today. I hit the gym after class (3 days in a row!) despite leaving my clipboard at home. I had to call my boyfriend to find out what lifts I had scheduled. Luckily (for me) he had trouble getting to work this morning and so stayed home.

I had homework from my first day of class. But I've finished it. Just some stupid math worksheets.

My "official" weight is up a little bit from my previous day's weight- different scale, different time of day, all that jazz. Previously I've been a daily weigher, at least every work out day, but that's been driving me crazy, so I'm going to just weigh once a week, on Sundays I think.

My goals for this challenge are:

1) perform 1 chin up
2) perform 10 push ups ( I'm pretty close to this, I think)
3) learn pistol squats
4) lose weight (of course :p) 25 lbs should do it I think.

Sorry about the weather. I didn't realize that Vancouver was more temperate like Seattle in winter. Makes sense since you're right on the coast if I had thought it out. I had always assumed it was more like Bellingham.

Congrats on getting back on track.
