Hello Ladies,
I posted my pix and stats on both my log and the monthly check in thread. I'm sorry that I haven't been around on this thread.
In December I started really having trouble with fatigue, depression and a whole list of other complaints. I also suffer from regular migraines.
At first I thought it was just my typical reaction to living in the Great North-Wet (Seattle).
But after it got so horrible, I could hardly function I finally went to the doctor three weeks ago. She thought thyroid but blood tests confirm that I have a very low Vitamin D level, thyroid is fine. I've been treating my Vitamin D for about 2 weeks now and I actually think I'm feeling better. Amazing!
While I haven't been working out regularly (or at all, due to the crushing fatigue) I've been doing well with the food intake. Lost 8 lbs in a month! I'm really happy with my progress.
Since my energy seems to have returned somwhat and I'm feeling a lot more like myself, I'm going to start back to the gym this week. I'd like to start the OPT exercise program, but I'm probably going to take it easy this week and see how it goes.
I read this thread daily, but hoping to be a more active participant going forward.

Took my measurements yesterday but ran out of time for pics so will do that today and get it all posted by tonight. Gotta finish eating my brownie breakfast first. Stupid hubby's fault, of course.
Christie, hope you continue to improve and glad to see you're still here!
Last night I was going through some old photos of myself from sophomore year and from last year on my computer, and The Boy saw one and did a double-take because I look so different. It was a great feeling.
well, i've been m.i.a. in a big way, but there is no way i'm going to let the craziness of school chip away at my resolve to continue eating well, work hard and drop fat. i've really missed reading logs and keeping up with everyone's progress - and it is so easy to want to just give up. today started a two week spring break from school, so i hope to get caught up on logs and "borrow" some motivation to get back onto the nutrition horse!
and congrats to everyone on their progress this month!!
Oddly enough, having two mediocre months to the start of the year seems to have kicked me a little in the butt. This first week I've been doing really well, and have lost close to half what I lost in February (although I don't count losses until Sundays). Okay, that sounds pretty impressive, but only because I only went down 4.2 pounds in Feb. I'm back to NROL4W, so maybe it's just what I needed. So, I'm pretty enthusiastic about March so far....
It probably doesn't hurt that we actually had warmish weather yesterday, and all the snow is gone. Okay, there's still ice on the pool, and it's cool and rainy today. It's still a sign that spring is on the way!
I took a rest week this week because I'd been feeling run down lately, and realized that I was run down because I was brewing a cold. Today I spiked a fever and my asthma has been affected by it so I'm staying in until I feel better.
I'm feeling encouraged for the first time in a while... started a new (very strict) eating plan and I've seen the scale budge for the first time in a while (well, downwards for the first time in a while). I'm feeling like March is gonna be good, if I can just get past those darn symptoms of fatloss - hunger, tired, cranky, foggy... fun!
I feel like March will be better for me too. I'm working on getting over my obsessions with food and dieting, learning to eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. So far I have found that if I truly honor my hunger early in the day, I eat much less at night. NROL Fat Loss II is kicking my ass!
I've decided to take this week off from any form of exercise. It's spring break here so I can sleep in some. I'm been very tired lately and my hips have been achy. Either I've aged 40 years or my body is trying to tell me something.

I've been sort of struggling since the challenge- I finished Power Training, and this a rest week. I've been struggling with bingeing- something I have a history of, with an all or nothing attitude. I think the best course of action for me right now is to focus on one day at a time, and to take a break from reading about food, exercise and weight loss.
I'm watching out! But I'm also trying to step up my own game a bit. I'm down a couple pounds since I started actually eating at a deficit... so there's that at least! All water weight I'm sure, but it's something!
Sounds like most everyone is doing well for March....great! We've still got three weeks until we update, so there's plenty of time to get that motivation all geared up!
Thank goodness March is a "long" month for us. I need the extra time to focus on nutrition as I have been battling hunger and am afraid the slight increase on the scale is not the good kind. Here's to buckling down for a strong 3 weeks!!!
O boy, I didn't realize we actually have 3 Mondays to go! Whee, I may have a good month after all. It's been a weird month what with being sick and travelling, but I am hopeful that I will get some good progress SOON. : )
Well, the problem is that I went out of town but didn't even have any fun! Half a slice of cake and a few hershey's kisses were as far as it went....and yet no progress. At least I could have had some fun with my no progress. Right now, no fun and yet no progress. Bleah.
