This has made a big difference for me, too--I did Atkins for so many years I was used to heavy protein. Upped my carbs and fat, and it made a huge difference. Now I'm kind of doing a higher fat version of body for life eating--palm/fist portions--that low fat didn't agree with me. Anyway, hi and congrats on the loss!
I was never able to do straight Atkins, but I agree with the carbs and fat making a difference. This week, I haven't been as strict on my ratios, so I need to get back on paying attention to that. It's very easy to get sidetracked and I do not want to count calories!

No weird gym stories to share... sorry. Well, unless I mention the woman who came in the other day just to weight herself and then left again.... saying she'd be back later to work out. I just don't get people sometimes!
So far, so good! I don't know why I found it so difficult before. LOL at the lady weighing herself and leaving! People are so weird.

I haven't tried it yet, but I'd probably be right there with you!

I can only imagine that the burpees are better without the pushup. But I'd think that they'd still be hard!
Thanks, everyone! Now I just have to keep it up!
---------------------------------
Christine, this one was a bitch! I got through only 2.5 rounds and had to stop because my lower back stiffened up.
7 rounds:
10 deadlifts (dumbells)
10 db swings
10 sumo deadlifts
10 back extensions
I think this was a WOD that just had to be lighter weights, at least for me. Although, I wasn't going that heavy. I also didn't like doing DLs with dumbbells. And DB swings bother me more than KB swings. I don't know if it's because of the different grip or what. Like I said, I quit after 2.5 rounds and just walked it out and my back was fine.
I think I need to do some walking before the WODs to loosen me up more. I do always stretch beforehand.
Today, I walked first for 25 minutes at a SS on Random at level 8, then did thruster in sets of 5. I think I did 6 or 7 rounds. Started out with just the 45# and the last set was at 65#. I would have gone a little heavier, but had no spotter. I did 20 situps between sets.
And now I have to go watch the Top Chef reunion show. Watch what happens!

Fo' Shizz. I have not been counting cals doing TNT. I'm losing, but it is BO-RING food. You're supposed to stay on Plan A (no carbs other than veggies) for 4 weeks or until you have less than 20lbs to lose.
I have more than 20lbs to lose . I don't think I can do no fruit indefinitely, but I *LOVE* not counting calories. And as long as I'm losing I'm not going to start.
"As far as (healthy) eating, either do it, or don't. Same issues repeated over and over is just insanity. We either commit to the endeavor or pay lip-service to it. This is the hardest part of the whole process, and it needs to be practiced more than the actual physical training. It's mind training." ~ Matt Thorne

I totally know what you mean about DB Deadlifts and Swings. I prefer the KB too. Even for the deadlifts if I don't have a bar. Lighter weights definitely would be the way to go on that one. Crazy!

Same here. I hate counting calories. It is my prescription for insanity.
Great workout! I do have some 20 lb weights in the garage---maybe I could use them for swings. Better yet, I think I will ask for a kettlebell for mother's day. : )

Yeah...counting sucks. Although this week I was up a pound, but that may be a hormonal shift.

I'm glad that your back is feeling ok.
LOL. I would like to try that WOD again, but definitely with lighter weights. Doing back extensions on that, well, back extension contraption bothers me after a while. Any thoughts on that? Maybe I need to set it lower, even though I have it on the 2nd to lowest setting?

I got it for my birthday, so yes, a KB is in order for Mother's Day!

HA! That would be Houston. We don't get that bad...just the upper 100s. They're predicting rain next week, but they lie. I'm thinking if I wash my floors, it just might.

Yesterday, I did one round of 50 slanted body rows, 50 squats, 50 sit-ups, and 50 back extensions.
Today was a rest day, but I exercised my fingers by IMing with everyone and their neighbor. The excitement continued by going to the bank, Office Depot, and PetSmart. Such an exciting life I lead.

Me, too! (Except it's not in the 40s today and is only expected to get up to about 14, but it is supposed to warm up to around 40 by the end of the week.)
We've been in the 80s and humid but a strong front is coming down tomorrow and we are gonna drop in the 40s. It's also supposed to bring a good soaking! My grass is hay now.

Taking it easy this week.
Grass? What's that?
The front hit us up here, too, and now we're in the 50s today. There are icicles forming from my nostrils. I need to throw more wood in the stove.
