Holy crap on the DL's.... WOW! Makes my 65# look pretty weak LOL!

So... I just finished watching TBL, so I was able to come to your log... only to find out that you didn't even mention it LOL! I KNOW you must have been happy with the result, right?

*******TBL SPOILER - JUST IN CASE********

I was happy and not a BIT surprised! I was a little surprised that Carla and Joelle quit speaking to each other after they left the ranch, though! I mean, weren't they like BESTEST friends???

LOL--thanks! And since there's a workout named after you, give me 150 wallballs!

I didn't say anything cuz I saw in your log you hadn't watched it yet!!! I wasn't surprised that Joelle went home, but was very surprised that they weren't speaking anymore. Joelle has such dead eyes. It's really bizarre. I'm always waiting for Carla's wig to fall off because it looks like it's always crooked or something.

And I love the smackdown Jillian and Bob gave Aubrey's after her speech about gaining muscle when she only lost 2 pounds!

I'm feeling the DLs today. My legs are tired!

I took yesterday off and then worked out at home.

Did 5 rounds of:
15 air squats
10 lunges
5 push ups

5 rounds of:
15 plie squats
10 reverse lunges
5 close grip push ups

5 rounds of:
10 dips
20 bicycle crunches

then messed around with my KB some

I was laughing because I was watching The View and it was dedicated to know what your teenager is up to. They were talking about kids texting, being on My Space and FB, etc. all the time. I do that crap more than my kids! LOL

HAI!! back!

My friend and I always text each other during TBL. We are lame, but it's fun!

Saturday, I just walked with my husband. I think we did 2 miles, but it was boring. Not that he was boring, just the route. But he's been getting up around 6 a.m. to go walk this route almost every weekday, so if he doesn't find it boring, then more power to him.

Then we went out to dinner and I had two huge ass margaritas and probably some food thrown in there, too.

Yesterday's NEAT consisted of driving to Lowe's and buying a new water filter for the fridge and getting my heart rate up while watching the Spurs/Celtics game. Spurs won, btw.

Today, I did 3 rounds of:

Run 2 minutes
12 deadlifts (135#)
21 box jumps

I just walked SS for 20 minutes after that.

I think when doing DL in a workout, I need to drop the weight a lot. They were very tiring and for some reason that weight seemed so heavy and obviously, I can lift heavier. Mental note for future.

My strange gym story: There's this guy that's probably in his early 20s at the most and he workouts with no shoes on. He was even running on the treadmill in his socks. WTF? When I'm there, the gym owners aren't (I belong to Anytime Fitness, so they don't have a lot of people working there). I just may have to ask him about this. He's kinda of EMO looking, so I don't want to upset him

Weird! I can understand maybe lifting in bare feet - but ... running on the treadmill in socks?? I can't believe that's comfy OR safe for that matter!!!!

Okay, you all already know I'm weird but I love running barefoot, whether outside or on the treadmill. I try really hard not to most times, being a good girl and wearing socks & shoes, but, sometimes, I just gotta do the nude foot thang. Running with shoes is like sex with a really thick condom. It does the trick but it just ain't the same slimy, bumpy fun.

Becareful with those emo kids--they're sensitive! I understand running barefoot, but socks seem dangerous. I'd be slipping and sliding all over the place!

Um, and Diane, I really don't know what to say...that may explain why you have so many kids.

I have trouble staying on the treadmill when I turn my head ever so slightly to the side to look at something so socks would be a no go for me. I seriously have to look mostly straight ahead or I start wavering.

LOL @ Diane!

Looking good in here. Are you Jillian workouts from "Making the Cut"?

Somehow I haven't been in here in a while and I am now glad I have been. Very entertaining.

Ya--at home I can see doing that as I usually do also workout barefoot ('cept I don't have a treadmill). But at a germ infested gym? I'm always leaving notes in the suggestion box when the cardio equpment is starting to look a little 'furry'.

LOL same here. If I'm clipping along at a fast pace, I'm always afraid I'm gonna slip or something.

Glad you stopped by! Yes, they are from that book. Do you have it also?

Yesterday, I spent the day scraping that popcorn shit off the half bath ceiling. I hate that stuff and have only been in this house for 9 years already and am now just getting around to it. We are in project home improvement right now as my house needs major updating (mauve formica kitchen counters should give you a clue). Then when I get it the way I want, I'll move. lol. But we'll be here for at least another 5 years and then most likely move downtown closer to my husband's office. I also did some negative pull-ups, push-ups and some other crap yesterday

Today I did fartleks! I was cracking up at the name (because I'm 12), but my partner said it's a Swedish word for speed training.

That consisted of 4 rounds of:

30 squat thrusts
30 lunges

After that, I hopped on the recumbent bike for 25 minutes.

Will catch up on logs later

Sounds like a FUN day! Scraping that stuff off the ceiling must be a heck of a workout!

That's probably the ONLY thing I haven't had to deal with in our house. Old out-dated kitchen, FUGLY wallpaper, HORRENDOUS paint (think mauve carpet in the hallway - with mauve paint on the wall and a lovely flower border half way up....ok - I have to go find that picture!! ), SHINY HIGH GLOSS ceiling paint - yup - popcorn ceilings - NOT - thank goodness!

Ok - found the pic! (This was the 1st project I did after we moved in - a week later I had this wallpaper GONE and the walls are now a nice soft tan color!! - You can see in this pic that I was in the process of removing the wallpaper - you can see the water running down the walls!)

Oh, yes! That is complete fug! LOL

The first thing I did was strip wallpaper. Although, I did add a border to the kitchen, but it's kinda of a cool one. I've painted every room and tiled the bathrooms and kitchen. I would love to get rid of all the carpet, at least downstairs. My husband thinks he has the time to do all this (we can do the tiling ourselves). Which is why it hasn't been done yet.

Sigh...a girl can dream, right?

The first thing we did at our house was take down wallpaper, too. It was quite the event.

Just imagine a bunch of 9th grade girls being told they were going to do Fartleks that day. Giggle's always ensued.

Boy, can she ever.

I keep a To-Nag-About list on my desktop with a listing of things for hubby to do. I try to just add things to it instead of constantly nagging him in real life. He likes it better this way. Of course, he's only looked at it maybe once... LOL

Our kitchen was the one room we hated when we moved in. Well, okay, I wasn't really fond of the pink wallpaper and carpet in my room much either. We did the cheap, paint the walls first. A couple of years later we painted the cupboards (they were powder blue) before we could afford to actually rip out the cupboards and replace them.

Hey! I'm still here and need to catch up. We were working on the bathroom all weekend so I wasn't on the computer much. We had to order the vanity and it should be here on Friday. Once we install that, we just need to get a new mirror. We were waiting to install that and the light fixture to see what size we needed. And then it will be the nicest room in the house! lol

Catch up later!

Hey Shelly... just stopping in to see how things are going. Sounds like you've got your hands full with remodeling.... what joy. I was without a sink from Memorial Day to Labor Day this summer when we remodeled the kitchen.... sucked.

Can't wait to watch TBL tonight... with my being on vacation, I keep forgetting that it's Tuesday! I'll stop by tomorrow to compare notes....

Lori--I wrote something in Bytsi's log about TBL. However, it's nice that there aren't any evil people this season. You know Vicky and Heba would be yelling at their partner if they lost that challenge.

Our vanity is in, so we just need to go pick it up! One project down, a gazillion to go. I will be scraping more small spaces ceilings in the future.

I haven't been writing down my workouts the past few days, but I haven't been a slug. I'm gonna bring my 35# KB to the gym tomorrow and we're gonna fart around with that. I don't know why gyms don't have them.

I mentioned in Lori's log that I dusted off my Zone book and it's really not that hard--especially if you find some decent recipes. Because if I have to count one more effing calorie, I'm going to scream.

Today's workout looked easy. Today's workout just about did me in. I should mention we made this one up...probably not a good thing. I brought my KB (35#) to the today.

5/rounds

Run 200m
25 goblet squats with kb
Run 200m
25 kb swings

I only did 4 rounds and dropped to 20 reps on the third and 4th. My lower left back and hip likes to stiffen up here and there so I walked for 10 minutes afterwards just to loosen up, which I found does help me.

When did I become 80 years old????
