Weight this morning: 124.2 ( .2 lb less than last week, which is not really a difference when you take daily fluctuations into account and uh..well, kinda didn't do the deficit on M,T,W )
All measurements seem to be the same except for waist and ribcage slightly smaller I think.
Although the weight and measurements haven't changed much, I can see a little difference in the body fat (bicep vein is becoming visible again, and slightly less fat on abdomen, though I don't think it shows in the pictures.)
Speaking of pictures, I hate them. I think the main problem is my terrible posture, and then the lighting doesn't really show any definition in my back/arms, that I think I see in the mirror (unless it's just wishful thinking )

Are you using a flash when taking the pictures? If so, it's probably washing out the definition you're seeing in the mirror.
debby, I am very concerned for you. you have lost 7 pounds in 21 days and you started from a very low body fat and BMI. aggressive weight loss can sometimes be done appropriately in overweight and obese individuals, but this kind of rapid weight loss as lean as you are is a recipe for muscle wasting. a very bad thing as we age. your BMI is now in the underweight range.
an exercise physiologist at a hospital or sports medcine clinic can measure your lean mass and fat mass and give you a good approximation of percent body fat so you have another piece of data besides the scale. you can bring those numbers you your doctor, who can help you define a healthy weight range.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your concern, but if you'd read all of what I've written, you'd realize that, yes I did go from 128 the morning of Day one to 124 on Day 21, (a loss of 4, not 7), but that I've added several pounds of fat to what I've weighed for many years! Until September this year, I was under 120 and that was with extremely high caloric overeating (healthy food, but a lot of it; no processed junk except for occasional protein bar).
I should also add that my doctor thinks my weight is fine, since I've always been thin, and am healthy (no ailments at all; great cholesterol #s, etc). And btw, my doctor hasn't seen me with the added fat! My last physical was in July this year.
I think if you saw me in person, you'd see that I just have a small frame, though tall. I don't believe I have any muscle wasting, I've just added a layer of fat so that the muscle isn't as visible now. Trust me, I am strong and I challenge you to a 5k! I only run once or twice a month, but still have plenty of endurance.
Thanks again for taking the time to offer your advice!

found your journal through the 30 day challenge thread over in the fat loss trouble shoot forum.
you are SUPER lean!
i think you need to take a look at your pics again, there definitely IS NOT a layer of fat making your muscle less visible. you are very lean and your muscle is very defined.
Hey debby, didn't realize your starting weight was after a meal in the pm. Glad you are feeling well and happy! And no thanks to the 5 k challenge, LOL a natural runner I am decidedly not. But I kick some ass in sculling!
