I'm not sure I'd call those "easy" goals, but setting goals is a great way to track progress. Way to go on the chin-ups!

That is true, If it was easy I would have done it already. Thanks!!

I am back home today so I can start logging..again,LOL

I am throwing around the idea of trying Lyle McDonald's RFLH. I would love to follow it for the last six weeks to get a good jump start to my goals. I have lost my motivation for some reason and think this would help me. I know its not easy but I think with support I can do it. I also have some motivation in the way of a kitchen of my choice...We are building a house next summer and my husband said if I get to 145lb by the end of the year I can have any kitchen I want, but if I don't reach that goal then he picks out my kitchen and I have no say in it! (He is giving me something to work towards) I agreed to this so now I have to live with the consequences.

Well, what do you guys think! Help me out! I look forward to your suggestions and comments!!!

Wow, Bev. You are really holding yourself accountable. That's a great reward too Are you happy with the goals?

Is RFHL where you eat protein, green veggies plus fish oil? It's working great for Karenmc6. As long as you feel comfortable with your maintenance dieting skills, give it a try. But if you are an all or nothing dieter, going the traditional route maybe a better long term option.

Maybe someone that's tried the diet can chime in though!

Yes, thats the diet. I was looking back at the last year where I increased my calories from like 1100 to 1500-1800. I seem to be able to stick to that amount without freaking out and bingeing, I actually did the best I have ever done. Since April I have lost 25lb and did it slowly and healthfully. In the past I have yoyo-ed. I think the higher calories didn't mess me up mentally like the lower. I have already been kinda "freaking out again" this last week and eating things I have not eaten in the last 6-7 months, so it is already affecting me mentally just planning it. Thanks Christine for your reply, very wise and helpful. I better just keep to a smaller deficit. I will still keep making progress and I can always work out hard right?!

Yeah I am happy with the goal of 145. I hope to continue till I reach around 130, maybe 135. Just depends how much BF I have then. I really wanted something to help me out so my husband had a pretty good idea with the kitchen.
Thanks again!!!!

Yes, we have just an acre but its ours. It is exciting.
I have decided that diet is a little too strict for me right now and I'm afraid I will go backwards. So I am just going to stick to about 1300 cal.

I seen you started Power Training, YAY. I do like it alot. My husband does too. I'm glad he is doing it with me. I trained sunday and I will again tonight. I will log it sometime tonight, I am pretty bad at that. I would rather be posting and talking to others than logging my stuff. I think I might just log every few days. Just thinking out loud.

Thanks for popping in!!!

I think your plan is a good one. Just the act of making a plan and being part of this challenge will keep you from going backwards!

It's so cool that you're building a house. I hope someday to build my own perfect house just the way I want it

How exciting to be building a house! We've been doing that the last couple years. Now there's only hubby's bar/rec room and some more landscaping to finish. Well, and eventually a garage and fencing the rest, but that's down the road a bit.

I hear you on not taking the time to log your own stuff when it's more exciting to see what everyone else is doing and talking to them about it.

You've come a long way--keep up the good work !

That's what I am counting on. I am proud to have stuck with the challenge. I quit things alot and I'm trying to break the cycle. It has been fun too. It's great to have friends that like fitness!

Thanks! It was an exciting idea until my husband said we were building this next summer so once I started making the plans I got a little freaked out. That's a big step. It took me about a month to get over that.
Now I'm excited again. I too hope you get the chance to build one. It is neat getting things just like you want. Especially the kitchen! ( I better get moving and lose my weight)

How neat. Did you guys do most of the work? I bet it's nice to be about finished!

Yeah, I'm terrible about logging! I forgot to log my training at home and I didn't bring it with me. Thank you!!!!

OK, I can at least log my nutrition:
Wed - 1250 cal.
Thurs - 1415 cal., 6 fish oil, 120oz Water

( I was getting a little sick to my stomach from going too long without eating yesterday so I ate a little over 1300 cal. )

Now to go log hopping!

Over on calories by 100 or should I say 1 spoon of PNB.
I was making my hubby a pnb-banana sandwich and couldn't help myself.
Ran out of fish oil.

Yes, we (or hubby, really, since he's got a thing about perfection and symmetry ) did almost everything on our own.

You're still at a deficit at 1400 calories, so nothing to beat yourself up about, especially if you're feeling that you're starving.

Your hubby sounds just like mine. But I guess I would rather have that than someone sloppy.

Thanks, some days are harder than others so the occasional 1400 won't hurt I guess.

Are you doing Leigh's month challenge? I was thinking it looked like you.
If so, good luck!! Work hard and Kick Butt!

Yeah, his perfectionism is fine with me. Better than sloppy and I only had to do the stuff I can do like painting, staining, taping, etc.

Yes, that's me in Leigh's challenge. Thanks!

Hi Chloe, I started the basic fitness about 3 weeks ago. I didn't train this week because we had to dig a water line by hand so I just did that. I have been pretty busy so I haven't logged the last few days. I like PT because it has seemed to help my limber up some in my hips. I feel more loose. This is great because I hurt my hip some months back and it could have been because I didn't have good flexibility. I am not able to squat very heavy because of the pain. I hope it will get better now.

My diet has been less than perfect. Maybe it won't hurt my progress too bad.

I hope to get some internet time this week to check out logs. Have fun training!!

Calories 1380 (pro. 39%)
Water 1 gal.
BCAA 3

I'm trying to keep my water close to a gallon per day like Leigh suggests. I feel like I have more energy when I do. I am also trying to keep my protein at 35-40%.

You're doing great! Do you find that you want less Diet Coke when you drink that much water? I think that was the key for me.

It does help. I still drink about 2 per day. I find it helps with low calories. In the past when I have eaten maintenance calories I find I don't care for soda at all. This will be nice for when I reach my goal I can easily quit then. Till then I will just make sure I drink more water.

My nutrition for today:
1300 Cal
33% Pro
100oz Water
BCAA 6
Fish oil 2

OK, I have a new plan starting today. I needed to change for a few different reasons. I think this will fit my life a little better. I have always wanted to try Turbulence Training and I found a program for PN members, 12 weeks for fat loss, so I started it today.

DB Split Squat 3x8x20lb
Superset w/no rest
DB Chest Press 3x6x30lb

DB Row 3x8x25lb
Superset w/no rest
Mtn Climbers 3x20 per side

Then 20 min Intervals on the treadmill
5 min warm-up
45sec 7mph (a few rounds were jogging at 10% incline)
45 sec 3.3mph
(6 rounds) then cool down.

I went light on the weights, will increase some next week. I also decided to add a little extra, doing the idea from Leigh Peele's challenge with max out pushups and chinups. I went into the gym tonight and did 2 chinups and 16 pushups. I don't know how I seem to do chinups but I'm not even close to doing a pullup. Is there anyone who did chinups first? I think I will ask that in the Official Challenge thread.

I didn't read the other thread yet, but chin-ups are a lot easier than pull-ups. I'm making great progress on chin-ups, but can only do about 3/4 of a pull-up.

Hope the TT program works easier for you. I would guess on your schedule that it would be harder to schedule and eating plan and workouts.
