Hey, thanks for asking. He's been gradually sliding off the wagon but hasn't fallen off 100%. He walks and eats pretty well at home, but the meals out... Originally, he was at for 5 years or so, but he has a busy, hectic lifestyle and getting to the gym wasn't as much of a priority anymore. Like you said, hopefully in time, he'll get back at it.

Happy Anniversary! Did you get to eat roasted chicken with your hands at Medieval Times? We have a MT in Orlando, very fun!

Yes, I'm planning on starting the program after finishing OPT. I am forcing myself to work on one goal at a time.

Happy Anniversary! Hope it was a great dinner!

Yeah, he says he wants to start up again, and I even helped him pick a good program to follow, but now it's just a question of him actually doing it. He did start the push up challenge, and I think he'll do pull ups with me too, so that's a start. Really, he just needs to make it a priority, and right now, it's not. Oh well, I won't push him, but I do help him if/when he wants it.

So, how was dinner? I've always wanted to go to Medieval Times - was it fun?

Hey guys!! I had a blast. It was the best Anniversary yet. The show was really neat. The food was very good, yep I ate with my hands, pretty messy eating spare ribs. The soup was sooo good. I could have had seconds. also ate roasted potato, bread, and of course CAKE. I think it was an ice cream cake. Delish!!

I didnt record any of the 2 days and no exercise. (I can't help but want to relax on a vacation.) I just don't want to exercise then since I do that all the time. I had a bad headache yesterday so I didn't do much of anything. Oh well, I might have hurt my weight loss but thats the last trip for a while. Back at it today!!! Time to kick butt!!

I'm heading to work so i'll try to hop on the forum when I can. Have a great week. Thanks guys for checking in on me!!!!!!

Reminds me of my first medieval banquet - I was 12 and at Bunratty Castle in Ireland. Looking back on it now, it was probably super touristy, but tell that to a kid who loves medieval stuff, D&D and mead. (That last is another story. )

5 years is a long time, it doesn't sound like just a passing thing for him.
Maybe just postponing

Had a blast, yep!!

Default Catching Up.

I feel I need to start my log over, I'm so far behind.

Aug 20th 1400cal, 25% from pro. (terrible)

Aug 21st 1900 cal, balanced macros.

Aug 22nd 1527 cal 32% pro 23% carb 46% fat
Walked 20 min on the 21st, that's all.

Aug 23rd 1189 cal 26% pro, 35% fat, 37% carb

I usually get alot more protein, just not wanting it this week.

Aug 24-25 went on my trip, ate freely, no exercise. Already regretting that. I feel much better mentally and physically when I do perfect.

Aug 26th I had a bad headache and didn't accomplish anything. I really needed to train after that weekend. Ate 1460cal. Balanced macros.

Aug 27th still a slight headache, didn't do cardio. Ate 1300 cal, macros not very balanced. Just 25% pro. Not Good That should never happen! I have got to stop that!

Aug 28th 1456 cal. 30% pro, 40% carb, 30% fat.

Now that i have shamed myself by this log I will start tomorrow with
everything perfect!I Have been very sleepy so my soda intake has been 2-3, also not good. My husband says he will quit with me so that will help alot! I am quitting cold turkey starting sunday. That will give me 3 days at home to get over caffeine withdrawls. There, I said it now I have to do it!

Now feel like a new person. Got all that off my chest. Time to get with it! I start power training sunday. Looking forward to that!
Till this afternoon.

Well said Tom!

Trying to be perfect leads to the slippery slope of all or nothing thinking. Don't go there! And your calories and macros look fine. Just think of this week as a rest week and hit the Power Training extra hard on Sunday.

Glad you are back!

Just checking out some of the logs i haven't visited yet. Good luck with the soda thing. I stopped drinking soda a long time ago, not on purpose but it just kind of happened. Now when I have soda i feel really icky afterwards since my body's not used to it. You will get there! Interested to see how you like Power Training...

Glad you are back!
Thank you!!!
I will try to do that. I am the type that when I have momentum I am very strong mentally, meaning nothing seems to phase me whether its sweets or being lazy (I want to do everything right and I'm headstrong about it) But when I lose that it takes me a while to get it back for some reason. But I will try to be more casual about it. Not being able to get on the forums lately has hurt a little too!

Hi, thanks for asking! I forgot to take my book on the road so I was hoping to read enough sunday morning to start but I found out it isn't that easy. I need to read the book first so I will take it with me this week and try to start next week. But my husband put me through hell yesterday (excuse my french but no other word fit). I am going to do my cardio now but will log all my stuff sometime today.

Thanks so much everyone for stopping by. It helps so much. I will definitely be on my PC tonight catching up!!

Thank you for stopping by!! Glad you were able to quit the soda so easily. Its nice when something comes easily huh!! I know I will feel much better when I get off them. I look forward to that! I quit cold turkey yesterday
I know its gonna be hard the first couple weeks but I'm sticking it out!

I really like the power training book so far. I am 20 pages in but its impressed me already. I will try to finish it this week and get started on it next week. I have the goal of being fit and functional so I think I will like this alot.

I am trying to get better at the logging thing.

My calories have been a little high, around 1700-1800. One major goal is to start logging more.

My husband put me through a 2 hour workout sunday, liked to killed me. Also done 30min cardio that morning. Monday was 45 min cardio and 2 hours yardwork.
I ran out of time tonight so I can't post the workout. But here is my pushup challenge for week 1 day 3:
10
8
8
5
12

I forgot to log that Friday while picking up my load I actually did 2 sets of walking lunges across the parking lot. Was nervous but did it. YAY! I ran out of time so didn't fit the pushups in but I will next week.

Tuesday Sept 3

50 reverse crunches
calf raise 3x15x70lb
45 min SS cardio (15 min of each machine...bike, elliptical, treadmill)
1630 cal
30% Pro
38% Carb
32% Fat

Yesterday I was so sore from the workout sunday that I didn't train but just abs and calves. I was so low on sleep I broke down and had some soda. I will just do my best one day at a time.

I meant to stop by sooner, but my internet has been moody so I couldn't. I'm glad you started the push up challenge! It's so cool that so many people are doing it together. And great job on doing the walking lunges in the parking lot again. You rock!

The low on sleep part is what got you I think, as that's when your body repairs itself.

Default Copied from One Month Challenge!

I am pretty happy with my progress, small but thats okay. I am going in the right direction. Here's the stats:

8-05-08
Age-33
Height-5'5"
Weight-166
Neck-12"
Arms-13"
Bust-38"
Waist-37.5"
Hips-44"
Thighs-23.5"
Calves-15.5"

9-01-08
Age-34
Height-5'5"
Weight-163 -3
Neck-12"
Arms-13"
Bust-38"
Waist-36" -1.5
Hips-43" -1
Thighs-23" -.5
Calves-15" -.5

I was able to do about 2.5 hours of cardio per week on average (goal was 3hrs.) and trained 2 days per week (goal was 3).
My plan has changed somewhat. I will be starting Power Training this coming week so I will train 2 days per week from now on to get enough rest between workouts. I am keeping my goal of 3 hours cardio.

My calories have been everywhere so I guess cycling works for me. I will just eat more on training days and try to keep about 1300 off days. I will try to be more compliant this next month.

My goal of quitting diet soda is going good. I tapered down for a couple weeks now I have been off them 2 days. It stinks but I know it will get easier.

I have a weight loss goal of 5lb this next month.

My pushup program is going good, now that I am back on my schedule. I hope to do 25 in a row by next month. (Thanks for the idea Kara, I seen you had a pushup goal) I can do about 15 now.

I hope to be able to do 1 pull-up by the end of the challenge.

Now the pics:

Sorry about my crazy sizing. Still learning all this stuff.

I really think I was bloated in the beginning pic and my posture lacked big time. I am working on that! I am happy with it but want more next month and I'm willing to work for it.

Bev, good progress this month . Soda is hard to give up. LOL on the thought of walking lunges in the parking lot. I sometimes do those when walking the dog, but I make sure no one is around to see me.

Thank you! Yeah, it might take me a bit to give them up completely!
I was looking around too, I try not to but can't help it.
Thanks for stopping in.

Nice job! You're doing really well. One soda a day is good - compare that to what you were drinking per day a month ago!

Hi Bev, finally checking in. Looks like you are doing great. I see a huge difference in your waist/belly in your Sept photos! Keep up the good work.

Your goals look good for this next month. I am so proud of you for doing walking lunges in the parking lot. Have you done your first Power Training workout yet? I've decided to stick with what my trainer set up for me for now but plan to do PT next.

I'm glad you're doing the pushup program too! I loved it at the beginning. Now it's tough.. I'm on week 3 and I'm doing each day 2 times. Is your hubby doing it with you?

How are you doing with the soda? I'm at 1/day and I'm staying there. It's a real treat for me and I'm okay with that amount. At least it's 0 calories!

Be sure and log your Power training workouts. I want to see what exercises you pick since you're a home exerciser and don't have access to all the gym stuff. Thanks.
