Amaria, major changes in your pictures this month! You are doing so well. I hope you'll have more time to post this month. I love seeing your pullups and pushups!
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone! I really appreciate all your positive support and feedback! That's what I love about this challenge.
I'm having workout ADD! I can't decide what to do. I've been working out, but just doing random stuff depending on how I feel. I definitely need a plan, but I can't decide what to do. (My last plan is pretty much finished now, so it's time for something new).
One thing I know for sure is that I'll be getting in more cardio because I bught a beautiful new bike that I'm riding to work. It's a 3-speed internal-shifter cruiser, and by far the nicest, and prettiest bike I've ever owned. I love it!!! I'm trying to ride to work at least 3 days/week, and it's a 35min trip each way, so that's a good bonus workout. BUT, I also want it to be bonus, not my main cardio, so I still want to plan "regular" workouts too. Here's a pic of my new toy:
I'm kind of on a circuit trianing kick - this week I've done two Cathe circuits, Bootcamp and High Step Challenge, both of which are super hard and super fun. I might stick with this kind of full-body cardio/weights circuits for a few weeks and see what happens. 3 days/week circuits and 2-3 days cardio, one of which must be interval training. Hmm...sounds kind of like a plan, right?
As far as eating goes, I bourght Eat, Stop, Eat and am considering giving it a try. I know people have gotten good results with it, and I like the idea of being able to eat "normally" most of the time. I'm still thinknig about it, though. I had great results with Precision Nutrition, and I might just want to stick with that since I know it works.
See? Workout ADD. Decisions are coming soon! I hope!
Hi Bev! I do have some pics, I'll try to post them soon. It was really fun!
Chloe, I just stopped by your log. You're looking great! I like your new program!
I've been working out this week,, but nothing too strenuous or time-consuming for me, since I had family in town last weekend visiting and I have ANOTHER trip this weekend and I have tons to do at work before I go. We're going to NYC for a long weekend, and I'm so excited!! Yay! But, after that, I'm looking forward to some nice, uneventful home time where I can get back into my grove. I miss my pushups and pullups and I really need to get back on track with them.
I've been getting in 3 days of bike riding the last two weeks, at about 9 miles per day. I love it! It's so fun. I even picked up my little girl from daycare on the bike once. She loved the ride home. I'm doing short, 45-minute cardio and 1 body part per day workouts this week (Cathe's Timesaver series) so I can do something to workout, but still have time to get work done, too. Bleh.
I'm getting a little frustrated with the scale - I'm stuck at 121-122 for almost a month. I know my eating has slacked off recently, but the weird thing is my caliper readings are still going down. It just seems weird that my BF% would be dropping while my weight is maintaining/increasing. I'm pretty sure it's not lean mass, because I've been pretty light on the weights recently. Maybe it's because my daughter is finally weaning off breastfeeding now? Some kind of hormonal/water retention thing? Anyway, I know its silly to be annoyed, since the BF% is the one that really should be dropping, and it still is. It just doesn't make sense!
Oh, and I keep meaning to post about the pull ups. I bought a pull up bar for work, and I had a few people who were going to join me in a mini challenge at work (I bet a guy I work with that I could work up to 10 before him...hehe!) but the stupid doorways at work are too wide! I'm so sad, because I had a fantasy of taking a break between classes and whipping out a set of pull ups throughout the day, and the sill wide doorways are foiling me! Blarg!
Good for you on staying consistent and fitting in exercise when you can. Lots of weird things happen when you're breastfeeding and when you're weaning, so you're not alone in that.
Sorry your pull-up bar doesn't fit in the work doorways. I have a few in my house that it won't work with, too.
How was your trip? I have been through NYC several times but just seen it through the window. I would like to go one day to really check it out.
Hope you are doing well!
Just checking in. NYC was fabulous. I love that city more than anywhere else in the world, I think. I'm glad it was as good as I remembered it. My hubby was great: he just let me take him and our daughter everywhere I wanted to see and visit. It was amazing!
I've been working out....just not posting. Bleh. For some reason, there just isn't enough time in my day to spend internet time like I used to I miss checking up on everyone's logs, and I hope that my life will finally settle down some (no more trips and no more house guests after this weekend for a looooong time, yay!)
Anyway, I've been doing Cathe's Pyramid Upper and Lower, and Muscle Endurance once each per week. I'm also doing one 35-45min treadmill run, one plyo interval workout, and one steady state cardio workout per week, too. Plus riding my bike to work 2-3 times/week.
I haven't made a ton of progress this month, but there is some. I'm sure when I take pictures I'll be able to tell more of a difference. My husband keeps telling me I'm doing a good job, so it must be showing, right?
Anyway, congrats to everyone still working hard on the challenge. Thanks for stopping by and reading my sparse updates! I miss you all!
Hey, you're getting there! You look great, and glad to hear you're still working out if not posting a ton. I'm sorta the same way, my computer time has been drastically reduced... Anyway, that back pic is looking good, and I can see lots of improvement in terms of muscle definition and "hip reduction!" Keep it up!
Here are my final pics for this challenge. I really enjoyed being part of it, even though I didn't check in much towards the end. I really like being part of a group that is so positive and supportive. Congrats to everyone who participated!!
