Too cute ladies!

Wonderful about needing a belt. I did a similar little dance yesterday when my tight jeans weren't so tight anymore!

Crap. Dinner tonight was a milkshake. And it was really really good.

So freaking hot and the AC is broke at work and barely keeping up in my bedroom. I threatened to wear a swimsuit into work tomorrow. Two more 100 degree days to go. IS IT FALL YET?????

Please excuse the cranky rant!

Sorry 'bout the heat. I am so much more crabby when in heat and humidity. I am not pleasant to be around. Is it wrong that in those days I sorta look forward to 30 degrees and snow?

Ummm. Sure! Super charged Mayan Chocolate shake with chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon.

The funny thing is there is a new smoothie store next door that has protein powder stuff but their prices are more and the calories just as much

But I'm feeling better about it this morning, I made myself go to sleep before the Olympic gymnastics was on (will watch later if I avoid the news) and I'm down 1.5 pounds since yesterday!!!
Operation 35x35 is on track. Happy happy joy joy! Just a little slip up, today is a new day!

Yes! I'd much rather stand outside waiting for the bus bundled in my wool coat and hat and scarf in the wind and sleet than this heat. It saps my energy. Today's projected high: 103! Now I'm off to work and to figure out how to transfer my work phone to my cel phone so I can drag a laptop off to Starbucks or something. If my boss objects, I'll just transfer all my calls to her office and hang out in there. I'm sure she'd loooooooooove that!

Ugh! 103! Yuck. I'm no good in the heat either. I'd much prefer the cold, and snow.
I'm feeling lucky today, it's 50 and raining here, which caused us to cancel our camping trip (it would be at least 10 degrees cooler where we were going and probably snowy overnight!!). It supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow, so hopefully we'll camp tomorrow night instead.

Just stopping by to say hi. Stay cool. I am ready for cooler weather too. You can always add a sweater but you can only take off some much, right?

Oh, I loved Jennifer Garner in Alias. Great goal photos!!

Best of luck with your goals.

But I'm back on, baby! Which is good because normally I'd jsut say eff it and blow it all of and go back to normal eating and no exercise

Stupid heat sucked out my brain and energy and being at someone else's house the whole weekend didn't help. I should have seen it coming a mile away!

Got this whole week planned out and mostly pre-cooked...

Week 4 OPT:
1475 cals
74g carbs (oy!)
49g fat
184g protein (ugh!)

Exercise: None! Just recovery stretching.

Yay recovery week!

PS: Right now it is 66F and cloudy

Good for you for hopping back on the wagon. It's so easy to fall off and keep going down the same path.

And thank goodness for cooler temps!

Basically my diet has turned into only protein and veggies this week, to hit that 74g carbs. I couldn't give up my morning smoothie so I halved the Kefir. I'm just making my targets. 180g protein is a friggin lot.

Favorite food of the week: Trader Joes Ground Buffalo Steak Buffalo Burgers: 280 cal, 43g protein, 12g fat.

Today's weight: 220.5 yay! (started month at 225)

Hey I just found your log - congrats on the success on OPT. I am also doing OPT and have had great success on it.

Oh - and I love TJ's buffalo burgers! I also love their really cheap frozen ahi tuna steaks.

/me waves to everyone. Ya'll are all so sweet!

I had eye strain for a week and a half, attempted to stay away from computer when not at work (sooooo hard). I suffered for a week with gel eye drops thinking it was just from the a/c running all the time and fans then I remember I had antibiotic eyedrops from some weird eye infection I had last year and they seem to have helped a lot today. Heaven knows what I pick up on public transit. Must not stick fingers in eyes either!!!

I just started week 5 OPT today. I wobbled out of the gym, this is going to hurt tomorrow as I haven't done lunges in a while. I couldn't do the T-ups, tried elbow/knee planks instead.

Weight crept down to 218.5 on friday then back up to 221.5 today. I suck at weekend eating. One more thing to work on

Yuck! Public transit is the worst when it comes to touching things. I've picked up a couple of things on the bus and train too. I'm now always reminding myself no to touch anything or any part of my face until after I manage to wash my hands.

Sounds like you're doing great with OPT. Weight goes up and down a lot it seems. Are you doing any tracking/trending? I like to weigh in every morning and track it in Excel (yes, I'm a bit of a geek about it, but the charts really help keep me sane when I have a high day).

Yeah, I need to carry some purell. I'm always blowing my nose or something on the bus/train with my allergies.

I'm a stats geek too! My main spreadsheet has daily weight, bmi, bf %, trend weight, trend bf%, exercise, pace. I know it goes up and down, I think I just like to vent My current goal worksheet graph. I just want to be back on the line. Must be vigilant!

glad to see all these stats geeks since i am too. unfortunately, i need to read up on the charting functions in excel - i feel like i am using so many different tracking utilities right now that it's tiresome to keep it up, but i love having the charts.

you're doing great - your overall trend is decidedly downward - can't let those blips get to you!

I'm not, I'm just whiny

Speaking of whining... OPT B1 has broke me temporarily. I did it for the first time Monday. My quads and glutes are in an uproar! My abs aren't so happy either. Still I managed to go on a 2+ mile walk last night as there was no way I was getting any intervals in. I may try the elliptical a little bit tonight if the pain eases. There is no friggin way I'm moving to B2 yet with its squats and get-ups. I'm pretty sure it was the lunges that did it. (and yes, there was lots of stretching/rolling after

But I know I'll be fine and it will get better, my body is mostly just rebelling after not doing lunges for a few months. I'm sure I'll be hobbling after B2 too!

When I tried NROL4W for the first time, it was major hamstring/glutes/quads/abs DOMS of death. I even took a day off from work becuase I couldn't walk w/o pain! So, I can do this !!

I always found that the first time I did a new set of exercises was the worst. I suppose it's the muscles getting used to the new movements. So the good news is that B2 shouldn't be as hard.

Ooof. Holiday weekend was horrible horrible food and exercise wise. I was going to do B2 Friday, but talked myself out of it. I did not want to be sore all weekend and get nothing done. B1 was last Monday and I didn't feel 100% until Friday.

I did do lots of NEAT over the weekend. Tons of house cleaning/purging and shopping.

Sadly, being out a lot meant eating out. With leftovers I don't think I cooked at all until Monday night (when I made big batches of healthy food for the week).

There was also some celebratory alcohol and chinese food with the boyfriend. He just started a new job (he had been out of work for TWO FREAKING YEARS). He's in a much better mood, so I'm also in a much better mood

Fortunately the measurements I took this morning look great, and I'll post my pictures and measurements tonight (Must remember before 9pm Pacific!!).

Back to regularly scheduled OPT-i-ness!

Me too on holiday weekend food and exercise. Time to hop back on the wagon though! How's today going?

Congrats to your boyfriend! That is something to celebrate!

Thank you!

Today is much better, I planned food! Of course someone had to bring in some plum cake to the office. I had a teensy slice. I also have coworkers that will eat lunch at 11 or before smelling up the room with microwaved food and driving me CRAZY. I made myself wait until 11:30 to eat. Bah.

Weekends are bad for me usually, I typically spend them at my boyfriends. I need to bring food with me or I end up eating what he cooks (sausage and eggs! blueberry scones!) A lot of the time I don't want to cook at his house becuase that involves cleaning up his very messy kitchen first At least I have avoided the temptation of his refridgerator full of Coca-cola.

Tonight I try some Mahi Mahi from Trader Joe's, get my pictures for the challange taken and posted and get a workout in! (I need more hours in the day)

Fall is around the corner, I think it was like 48F when I got up. Bus driver had the heat cranked up and I had to turn on the space heater at work as someone had left the windows open all weekend. This is good news for less sweaty workouts! Until the rain starts...

Oh sure! My main webserver has to be down tonight Thank goodness I still have a University account It pays to write the computer account system and set the no-expire bit on your own account!

Weight is not good, the rest is great! Some of this is probably error in measuring, but I had the same clothes on for measuring and did it multiple times to make sure I had the right place. The only one I really doubt is the under-bust. Perhaps I over measured in August?

These are 8/2008 to 9/2008.

Hey girl - lots of red up there... you are making progress.

I just noticed that we are in the same neck of the woods and you like knitting. Hmmm. Been thinking of going to this in a few weeks: The Knit & Crochet Show — Fall Show Information/Schedule. Have about 2 or so unfinished projects and lots of purdy yarn I need to figure out what to do with... not sure if show is the best thing for my wallet, but looks like fun.

Thanks! Yeah, I'll be at the TKGA show. I'll be cruising the vendors Friday morning and I signed up for an all day class Sunday. I have to have a budget or I'll go crazy. Usually over sock yarn That reminds me I need to remember to pack food when I go! I live on the MAX so it's super easy just to pop down to the convention center. If you're coming and want company, just hollar!
