Default Una cerveza por favor! Countdown to Mexico!

I know, lame reason to get in shape, a Vacation. But thats my goal.

We are headed to La Paz, Mexico at the end of November and I finally want to get in the shape that I want to be in.

This is my second log, I thought I would start a new one, since I am beginging a new challenge.

I did really well the first time around. Almost made it through all of NROL4W when I hurt my back at the end of stage 5.

Lost a few inches, gained some muscle. Now I am looking to cut. Get that last layer off. Finally.

A little about me
I am 29, married to a handsome policeman and have a 20month old daughter named Claire. I gained alot of weight during my pregnancy and am still trying to get back in shape.

THis month will be super busy for me, I will be out of town for more days that I am in town, but I will be spending most of my time at the lake, so I am able to get lots of exercise while I am there.

My eating habits have gotten better as of late. I have cut out almost all bread, rice, pasta etc... eating lost of lean protein, veggies and healthy fats. This seems to be working well for me.

Thanks for stopping in, I will be good to go on this challenge right after the long weekend. (at least it is a long weekend around here) Happy Birthday British Columbia!

Thought I would share what I accomplished during NROL4W

Going on vacation can be a great motivator. I only say it because I used going to the beach in July as motivation to kick it up a notch. Good luck with the challenge. You made some great progress with NROL4W.
Are you following a specific plan for the next challenge?

Great progress during NROL4W! Which stage gives you the tan?! Maybe I'll skip to that one... j/k

No real program. I have changed my eating habits, low carb, lots of protein, veggies and healthy fats.

I am gonna stick with an upper/lower rountine to maintain my muscel. Add in more cardio and do some circuit training.

WHile I am at the lake, I hope to do some hiking, bike riding, yoga and maybe some swimming (lake is really shallow.)

Tonight I hope to get to the gym. I have a busy day planned. I have to go for allergy testing this am (the skin prick testing) and we are getting a new furnace and heat pump installed. HOpefully after that I can sneak out for an hour.

Ok so saying I could get to the gym was alittle optimistic. I have had a couple of crazy days and now I have to pack for the weekend.

I am hoping that that hotel we are staying at has a gym to counter the booze that will consumed over the next 3 days.

I will say so long and I will be back on Monday!

Here you are.

I thought you were just very quiet and then noticed you had started a new log. I don't always look at the full lists of training logs. You might want to put a link as a last entry in your old log.

Anyway, have a good time at the lake this weekend.

Thanks for stopping in, I would post a link but I don't know how to do the whole "link to my new log" and then have it directed there.

So I think that I will be pretty quite around here for the next month. I am home untill sunday and then I am pretty much gone for 3 weeks straight. So my focus will be not gaining while I am away at the lake! Lots of walks and swims, not to many potato chips and treats. And to take it easy on the booze.

I had a great long weekend away I thought I would post a pic that would sum it up.

He he...I was wondering the same thing!

But seriously, you look great. And I think a vacation is a great excuse to bump it up a notch. Especially when you look like you do--you don't have 'disgusting image in the mirror' to push you.

Thanks for stopping in, It was a fantastic weekend away. The longest I have been away from my daughter and it was much needed.

I am so bad with the tanning. I just love being outside in the sun. Except today it's way to hot. Record breaking around here.

so just biding my time, till I can really start the challenge. I ate well today. Trying to pretend that there are no rice crispy squares in the house.

I think I will go and eat some cherries instead.

wow - you look great! and vacations from the kids (especially when they're small) can really get the batteries recharged - it's amazing how much they take out of you.

good luck with the new challenge!

So Just checking in while it is raining. I still have another week to go here at the lake, jeans are feeling a little tighter so I am gonna have to ease up on the snacks a bit.

Not sure if I can stay in the challenge, my computer is shot and I won't be able to update my stats, I will look into it more when I get home.

so totally bummed that I had to bail from the challenge. I just couldn't get a computer up and running, but I am still gonna work my ass off.

I did gain 4-5 lbs while I was away. Could be a bit of bloat, cause of PMS, could also be all the cheezies.

A little stressed out right now, I am on the hunt for a job. Things are a little tight right now with all the whole renos and such.

Sorry to hear you had to drop from the challenge. But hey, you can still keep going as if you are still in it...just pretend. And there will be another challenge.

thanks Karen, we both have the sniffles but maybe a good sweat at the gym will do the trick.

So I just finished reading FLTS and OPT. And will give it a go. The first 3 weeks has me at pretty low calories. I have never really gone below 1500 calories before, seems pretty low, but thats what the calculations work out to be.

Gonna go give the workout a try today, once I get my but in gear today. Had a pretty late night last night. I babysat my friends 2 year old son over night and he did not want to go to sleep at all.

I will definatly need a nap this afternoon.

Thanks, I hate the whole "sell yourself" thing.

So todays work out was good, lots of different movements that I am not use to so i wasn't bored at all.

Had enough energy too.

Widestance DB DL
10x15lbs
2x10x20lbs
Swiss Ball Bridge
3x10

Swiss Ball Flys
3x10x8lbs

Shoulder Press
3x10x15lbs

Prone supermans
3x10

Db woodchop
3x10x10lbs

Plank
1x45 se
2x 30sec

5 minute run to warm up and a 7 minute run to cool down.

Also just went for a walk for about 20 minutes with my daughter.

Eats have been good, no cheats at all and I am not all that hungry either. Will post my food a bit later, my kid is a callin'

Yeah, I hate that too. I won't have to do it until the spring. At that point I'll have to look for summer work. If I can't con my ex-employer into including me with the 'summer students' that they usually hire from employees children I'll go to a temp service. Yuck, I just hate the idea.

Sounds like a good 'break in' workout you had though.

Good luck with your job search. I hate doing all that too. This last time around, I went with a placement company and let them sell me. It worked out quite nicely.

thanks, well the job hunt has taken a turn for the good. For the last year I have been doing some light bookeeping for my moms boyfriend. He called last night and wants me to take on more repsonsiblitly which in turn will give me more hours. Mostly working from his home office and from my own home.

So, I think I am just going to go along with this, see how many hours will really be available.

Just went tp the gym for a yoga class. fairly mellow class and I am gonna go back to the gym tonight to get my 50 minutes of cardio in. Or I might even go for a bike ride after dinner.

I feel good, was a little light headed during yoga, could be the lower calories, could also be hanging upside down in downward dog for so long!
