Today was my official weigh in with WW. I usually weigh in on Monday evening, but WW was closed due to weather. I lost 3.8 lbs. for last week. Yay me!!!!

I did an 18:48 mile today and finished up with 1.25 miles, 25 minutes total. I did 50 situps and 10 pushups. This is my 5th day to work out. I'm on a roll.

Hey, I'm still here and still plugging away. I just have not been on here in awhile. Missed last months weigh in and stats but, I am still working on getting the weight off and working out.

I am training for the 5K in March. I have enjoyed getting back into exercise and plan to continue.

Just checking in with you... did you end up doing the 5K? If so, how did it go? Hope all is well!

Well, it has been awhile since I have seen this page. I am still here though and still plugging away at it. I have lost a total of 18.6 lbs. Slow, but at least I am going in the right direction. I have been working out a minimum of 3 days per week. I try to get in 5 workouts a week. I do Yoga on Tuesday, Step Aerobics on Thursday and I try to run 2 miles on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This week I was able to work in Tues & Wed. I will be doing aerobics tomorrow and will try to fit in a 2 miler on Friday. I am loving the workouts.

Lori, I did run the 5K. It was awesome!!!! I finished in record time, for me. I am going to continue to run and possibly work towards the 1/2 marathon in March of 2010.

Still following the WW points plan. I find that it works for me, although very slowly.

Hey... glad to see you back! It sounds like you're definitely moving in the right direction... good for you for sticking to it. It's not the speed that counts (I keep trying to tell myself that when I watch people on The Biggest Loser LOL!) but the fact that you're doing all the right things. Glad you enjoyed the 5K and wow... I don't know if I'd ever be ready for a half marathon! Go for it!

Thanks Lori! I hope you are doing well. I need to go over to your log and check it out.

Since my last post on 4/29, I have continued to exercise and continued to lose. Yesterday I ran 2 miles and tonight I will be walking a mile with my DH - trying to get him into the fitness groove. Tough stuff!!!!

I have lost an additional 6.4 lbs and have had to already give away some "too big" clothes. What a great feeling.

Didn't quite make it to the walk yesterday evening with DH, we went to dinner instead. It's ok though, we both had salad. It was delish.

We did however do our walk tonight, 1.4 miles, up hill. It was a good walk and great conversation. My eating was so-so today. Nothing too bad, just too much of it. Tomorrow is a new day.

I will begin posting my workouts and my macros next week to keep me in check. I have decided to take a break from WW and try something else. TBD by Monday.

It can be tough when you've been at it for a while. I find that sometimes I get bored with it all, even though I still need to be at it. It can be tough to find the energy to keep it all in check. Good luck with whatever you decide upon.

Thanks Anne! It helps to have the encouragement and see all the progress on this log.

My plans were derailed this week. My DH had an accident on Sunday and we ended up in the hospital. Just got home this afternoon. I have been totally out of kilter and am so tired, I should be in bed now.

Tomorrow is a new day and I will be back to work 1/2 days till Monday. I will watch my eats and slip in some exercise tomorrow. Hoping I can get a good restful nights sleep. I look forward to really getting things done in here next week.

Oops - I hope the accident was minor (although even those can be a pain). That's the one thing about the weight loss, it's always going to wait.

Anne, it really is a miracle that the accident was not worse than it was. He fell 12 feet from the attic to the garage floor. Broken arm, 12 staples in the top of his head and 7 stitches above the eye. He is doing better than I would expect him to be at this point.

I did a great workout on Thurs. evening with a 2 mile run and break in workout for BFL. I also had a great workout on Fri. Did a 1 mile in less than 17 min. and an upper body BFL workout.

With the in-laws today for FD. Plan to get in a run workout this evening and begin a BFL upper body workout tomorrow.

My plan is to follow BFL workouts for the next 12 weeks and run on the days I don't lift. I will have a more detailed workout & eating plan on a daily basis going forward.

Well, I am finishing up my summer class and have not had the opportunity to workout this week so far. My eats are in order. I really miss and need the workout. I have gotten a head start on the HW due tomorrow so, unless some major catastrophe happens, I will be working out tonight. I will post my workout afterwards.

So, I got my workout in this evening. I could have done more but ran out of time. 1 easy mile and then upper body weights. Even though I am starting out with small weights, my arms feel like jello. I wanted to do another mile, maybe next time....other responsibilites. This would not happen if I changed my workout time to the a.m. However, that would mean that I would have to get up earlier and I just don't know that I am ready for that. We shall see. Eats were good today. I will enter them into fitday tomorrow when I have more time.

Tomorrow's planned workout is to run 1 mile and do lower body weights. If I have it in me, I will do another mile. Logging the workouts and the food keeps me honest and on track. Note to self...this needs to become a daily habit!

The workout was great tonight. I did one mile on the treadmill and lower body weight workout. I sweated more with the weight work out than with the run. Guess that just means that I was working hard. I love how the weights make me feel so strong. I have not logged into fitday yet and probably will not do it tonight.

My plan for tomorrow is a 2 mile run, then upper body weight workout on Friday. Just keep doing it is my motto. It helps that I love it too. Who knew getting fit could be this fun!!!!

Did two miles on the treadmill tonight. It was a good run. It's funny how some days you just have more in you than other days. It could be my lack of protein this week. Have been doing a "Daniel Fast" for the past 4 days. I have been eating clean. However, on this fast their is no room for meat, cheese, bread, extra protein, etc... Tomorrow is a free day. Yay!!!! Starbucks in the a.m. and who knows what else. Why is it that these days on my "free" days I still find myself "watching what I eat?" I guess that means that I am making progress with this love of food thing.

Well, I did not have a problem eating on Friday and I certainly did not hold back. I am sure it was less calories than I think. However, the scale did not show that this morning. And today was not such a good eating day either. Well, this evening I did not make the best choices. I just have to remind myself that 2 days of wrong eating is not the end of the road and that I can just pick up right now and get moving again in the right direction.

I did work out last night. Upper body weights (45 mins) and one mile at a faster pace than usual. I was sweating profusely. I guess that means that I put in a good workout. Hopefully I burned some calories that I ate earlier in the day.

I'm completely disgusted with the scale. It says I am up 4 lbs. How is that possible? I know it is because I am taking meds and it's close to TOM. I was completely on target today. Made some really good choices and avoided the bad ones. I do have some good news to report. I went shopping today and bought a size 16 pair of dress pants. It is the first time ever that I have bought anything at Ann Taylor. Previously everything in that store was too small. I am excited about that. It made my 4 lbs. a little more bearable.

My plan is to run tonight, 2 miles.

I did run/walk last night and it was over before I knew it. I wasn't feeling it, but I am sure glad I did something.

Tonight I did my lower body weight workout (BFL) and my legs feel like jello. It was great though, much easier than the first time doing the routine. Also, it helps that I did not jog a mile first like I did the last time.

I have logged my eats since Friday. I'm still "playing" with the calorie thing. I am just following the BFL eating rules, a carb & protein with each meal. 5 meals per day when I can get them in. Planning is key and I am not quite there yet. Today was not a planned breakfast and I ended up eating out. Not good considering I did not make the best choice. I will next time.

Tomorrows planned workout is to run 2 miles. I have already planned my meals for tomorrow so as long as I can get my breakfast in order, the rest will fall into place. Switching up plans takes me a little bit of time getting things in order, but I am getting there.

I found recently that the heat and humidity of our weather caused me to put on about 4 pounds of water weight (almost overnight). Most of it came off when the weather changed, but I'm not looking forward to having it come back if the weather changes again.

Maybe I can blame it on that. Thanks Anne!

I did my 2 miles tonight. Yay! It felt great. I work towards 3 miles on Thur. night. I ate everything in site today and still managed to stay within my calorie range. I guess I just made better choices and I still had chocolate.

The plan for tomorrow is to do an upper body workout. I am looking forward to it. So far, so good on BFL. I can see however, that these workouts could get boring after a couple of weeks. I just need to keep making it interesting. Maybe increasing my weights some.

Did an upper body workout on Wednesday, had company on Thursday & Friday, so I did absolutely nothing. Saturday was my official rest day. I guess today I really have to kick it in gear and make up for what I should have done last week. So, today will be a lower body workout and a run, preferably 3 miles but, we will have to wait and see how it goes.

I need to move more and sit less. It is the only way that I will lose any body fat. This occasional do something here and there is not going to cut it. I have to get more active in my life, not just during workouts, but my life in general. Do more, accomplish more, get things done that I have been putting off.

Ran 1 mile tonight and did a 45 min lower body weight workout. It felt great. I moved more today than usual, got a lot done. I even cooked up some food to be prepared for the week. That is a first for me.

I burned 2600 calories and ate 1883, so a deficit of 717 according to fitday. I am not sure how accurate fitday is with the calorie burn.

Tomorrows planned workout is another 1 miler and upper body workout. Me & a friend from work have decided to run the 1/2 marathon in March 2010. Our pre-training, training started today with 1 mile 6 days this week. Should be no problem for me as long as I plan it. I am really looking forward to it. My goal is to just finish, as my longest distance to date has been a 5K.

I have been MIA since 7/5 because of a class that I am taking that is soooo tough. It is only 5 weeks long and I have been doing nothing but homework since the 6th. My weekends are even consumed with homework.

I have tried very hard to fit in my workouts. Last Sunday I ran 3 miles to make up for what I did not do in the later part of the previous week. I did 1 mile and an upper body workout on Monday, the 13th, 1.5 miles on Tuesday, the 14th, nothing on Wednesday & Thursday and a 2 mile walk today at the park.

Food has been only so/so and the scale shows it.

Next weeks plan:
Sunday - Run
Monday - Run & Lower body workout
Tuesday - Run
Wednesday - Upper body workout
Thursday - Run
Friday - Run & Lower body workout
Saturday - Rest Day

Food will be BFL plan

I did lose another pound Has to be the workouts. Last week I did the following:
Mon - 1.5 miles & Upper body workout
Tues - 1.5 miles
Wed - Nothing
Thurs - Nothing
Fri - Nothing

This week so far:
Mon - 1.5 miles & Upper body workout
Tues - 1.5 miles

Plan for the rest of the week:
Wed - Lower body workout
Thur - 1 mile
Fri - 2 miles & Upper body workout

The rest of this week and then one more week with this class and I will be back to my regular routine and a lot stricter diet. Have to be prepared for a much needed vacation this fall.

On August 4th, I will have been at this for 1 year. It is so hard to believe. I will post beginning pics and current pics so I can see the progress. I am afraid that it is not as signifcant as I want it to be. However, I keep telling myself that at least I am not going the other direction and I am loving how I feel and what I am doing now. It is amazing how much the other parts of your life improve when you begin to really take care of yourself. That is what I am celebrating along with the weight loss.

Did nothing on Wednesday, 1 mile on Thur. and a lower body workout, nothing on Friday.

Started out this week with 1.25 mile run. Really should have been 2 miles - ran out of time.

The plan for this week is as follows:
Mon - 1.5 miles - upper body workout
Tues - 2 miles
Wed - Lower body workout
Thur - 1 mile
Fri - 1.5 - Upper body workout - need to do this in the morning
Sat - Rest day
