I've never seen a digital scrapbook page - I have to admit, that's kind of cool looking

Lori, great job on sticking to it. I know you from somewhere in the digital scrapping world. I sent you a PM to see if I am right.

It is seriously addictive Lisa! I've got a bunch more pages on my blog (link in my siggy) if you're interested. I've done layouts all along my weight loss journey, plus I've got different sections on their for my kids, etc. They're on the right sidebar down a ways...

Hey Vickie... just replied to your pm! I recognized you from SBE. There are some other scrappers here too... JustKim and Maggieandmommy. Kim C is a designer (you are too, right?) and Sinead is on the team at TDC. It's a small world, huh?

Grrr.. just noticed a spelling error in my previous post. I HATE when that happens LOL.... and it's too late to edit. "Their" should be "there". Duh me.

Food went pretty well today.... I ended up about 100 cal over, but I'm OK with that, given my level of activity this week.

Totals for 7/30:
1712 calories
34% carbs
30% protein
36% fat

Happy to see the macros closer to where they should be today! I still need to get more protein in though.... I will work on that tomorrow and most likely incorporate this somehow as one of my goals for the challenge.

Doing the happy dance this morning.... the scale was 161! This is a new low for me.... haven't seen 161 in probably 15 years! Onward to the 150's by Monday I hope!

I'm going in to the gym in a couple of hours for the 2nd B1 workout this week. I think I'm finally recovered sufficiently from the first 2 workouts this week to sit on the potty without pain again... so it's a good day!

Thanks Ginger! I will be SO glad the day I see 150-anything on that scale!

Did the B1 workout again today... felt pretty good, but I was wiped out by the time I was done, that's for sure! No cardio today, but I did lots of stretching and foam roller work after my training. Haven't figured out all the calories yet, but I'm a bit over... seeing as how I only had about 200 calories left for dinner, and I ate more than that.... I've been SO freakin' hungry ALL DAY.

Went to the store to find a bikini for the challenge pics... as I'm in the dressing room I hear these 2 women talking to each other as they're trying on clothes. The first one says "OMG! These aren't even a 1... they're a size 0!" GAG. These are the women I love to hate LOL.

Anyway... I did find a "bottom" on clearance for $3, so I was happy. No top to go with it, but that's OK.... I'll just use a sports bra.

Really hoping the scale continues to go down...

Tomorrow is Matt's last day. I hope I don't fall apart right there in the trainer's office LOL.

Went and picked up my packet for the 10K I'm doing Saturday morning. WTF am I getting myself into?

I would be sad if my trainer left too.

Awesome about the 10K though. I so can't wait until I can run again. Good work this week. You are all intriguing me on this OPTing and Leigh's diet stuff.

Yeah... I'm bummed. I think he's still going to be around though... just not working at the gym. He said I can still e-mail him about stuff, so it's not like I'll be completely out of touch with him.

Oh, trust me... the bikini is ONLY for the challenge pictures. You will not see me in public in anything but a bathing suit with a skirt attached LOL... but I can dream too, right?

Thanks Sinead!

So.... food totals for yesterday were a bit high. I was really hungry, like ALL DAY hungry. I've actually worked out more than I'm "supposed" to this week, so that may have something to do with it. I'm not consistent enough with hitting the macros to know what effect that is having though.... it's a work in progress, right?

Totals for 7/31:

1847 calories
37% carb
28% protein
35% fat

The scale was back up to 162 this morning, but whatever.... I know if I'm diligent, this program will get me where I want to go!

Did workout B2 at the gym this morning, but I think the lack of sleep this week is definitely getting to me, and it's having an effect on my energy levels. I actually felt really good throughout most of the workout, but I was tanked by the time I did 2 sets of the last superset (get ups and swiss jacknives) so I stopped at 2. I was going to leave, but then I decided to do some time on the bike.... so I did 30 min followed by 15 min of stretching. I'm sitting here feeling like I could totally fall asleep and not wake up until tomorrow, so I guess I need to get my ass moving and get some work done around here to wake myself up a bit. It's days like this that make me wish I drank coffee....

It's 7:33pm.... I have to be up at 5:45am to get ready for the 10K I'm doing in the morning, and I have a lot of packing/laundry folding to do to get the boys ready to go camping tomorrow. WTF am I doing on the computer???

I'm REALLY nervous about this race for a couple of reasons.....
  • It's the first 10K I've ever done.
  • I haven't run in about 3 weeks since I *broke* the little toe on my right foot (at least I think it's broken.... getting better but still swollen)
  • I really don't even like running that much LOL.
  • I know a lot of people that will be there and I don't want to embarrass myself!
Yikes! I know I need to think positive..... and I mean seriously... who cares if I end up walking part of the way? I've never run more than 4 miles at once EVER for crying out loud... so I need to be OK with walking partway. That's the hard part, I guess... my ego keeps trying to tell me that I should try to run all the way. I need to listen to my BODY though... and tell my ego to shut up!

Wish me luck! After the race I'm off to a 60th birthday party for my sister. Holy shit does that make ME feel old LOL! (There are 17 years between us, but still.....)

I didn't track today after lunch... I had *yikes* white rice w/ butter for dinner and veggies earlier in the afternoon. I don't have a freakin' clue what I'm doing really.... but I know I need the carbs so that hopefully I've got SOME energy tomorrow morning! The race is at 8am.

Lori,

You will do fine. Just think of how far you have come and how fit you have become. It will feel great when you are done and at least you can say that you did it, regardless if you ran or walked, you finished. Yay!!!!! I look forward to hearing how successful you were.

woohoo!!!! Way to go, Lori. I am so impressed. I hope to do a 10k next year. I am just hoping I can run the 5K I had hoped to next month but not sure my IT band will let me.

UGH. They're bad enough to begin with LOL... but the shadows certainly don't help! No time to photoshop them though! Guess I'll be that much happier with the afters this way, right?
