So as stated before... the 170 is sticking for another day.

Had a few minutes to kill this afternoon before going to the movies, and went into Nordstroms and can you beleive it I was able to zip up a pair of size 12 jeans! Holy crap! Granted, if I was actually buying, I would have purchased the 14's as they fit better, but anyways wow! This means I am not far from fitting into 12, and it was only last month I was excited about 14's.

This last month and half have been the most amazing for me. It just floors me how much this is working, it's almost like magic it's so easy. I wish I'd figured this out years ago!

sorry to be a gushing fool, but I am just so amazed.

Great job on the size 12's, Jen. I started OPT today and I hope to see results like yours. I'd be a gushing fool myself if I saw the results you were having in only a month.

Congrats!!!

So as expected, the 170 didn't stick.. 172 this morning. That is still on target. The 170 was just this weird blip. Only thing I can think of is that it was some dehydration due to the hot weather lately.

But I will 170 again soon!

Today was interval work. Went well. Still completely on target with calories/macros. We went to see Hancock yesterday I am such a good girl and did NOT get anything to eat at the theatre... only a liter of water to drink.

So today was exciting... was the winner for the week for the fitness challenge! Was down 4 pounds since the week's before! (thanks TOM for showing me even last week!). Got a $50 gift card for sports authority. hmmmm what should I buy?

Did the B1 lifting today, and thankfully no pain in the inner left thigh. Glad that was only a temp thing.

Scale showed 171 this morning. Love this continued downwards trend, just love it.

Congrats on the challenge Jen... happy shopping!

Good to hear that you don't have anymore pain in the thigh.

Yay on the scale (and the size 12 jeans!) Woohoo!

So far your log has been such an inspiration to me! I'm going to be starting OPT here in a week or two after recovering from surgery and am so excited to really do it. You're doing great!

Thanks once again everyone for your encourgement!

This is the first time this evening where I am really hungry... and I know why.

Olive Garden!

Don't even really like the place, but had a work lunch there today. I planned ahead last night to figure out what to eat, and eat exactly that.. but here is the thing I didn't get as much fat in today as usual and I can tell and since the calories were higher than I usually eat for lunch, it gave me less to work with for dinner. So here I am at at 10:00 night with no calories left for the day and hungry. Yuck.

So what did I learn today? That on a normally day I have things pretty well figured out to keep me from being hungry and stay on target. Which is good.

So tomorrow will be much better!

Good job Jen!!!

I was forced to eat at Olive Garden and I pre-viewed the nutrition - got the apricot chicken thingy (lunch size) which was about 320 kcal, and had salad w/ light dressing on the side... minimal damage, compared to going in unprepared...

I HATE when it's 10pm and I'm starving and outta calories!!!!

Had the same thing! Though my search said the apriot thing was 448 calories not 320! Perhaps that is why I was hungry....

Once again.... thanks everyone! Besides being an inspiration here, everyone at work is asking me what I am doing and saying that I am inspiration! My modest side doesn't know what to say! So many years I've watched other lose weight and so wished I could be them.. and now I am. Still hard to believe!

Today was the interval work. Didn't feel as good today about them. My heart rate just wanted to be high today and had a hard time keeping it down even though I was doing the same speed as before.

In other "news", I wore my cute black dress today which I always pair with my red patent leather shoes... and half way thru the day the strap on the shoes broke! Had to wear my black sandels the rest of day. Sigh. Guess I have to go shoe shopping this weekend . Good thing I have a trip to Seattle planned this weekend!

You might've had the dinner portion... I requested the lunch-size portion

hmmm... today was B2 lifting day. Went well.

It's intersting how one's interest goes back in forth. For about a year or so I've been more intrested in doing the weight lifting, but the past month or so I look forward to the cardio days more. I think it's because that is where I am seeing progress and like the fact that I can actually do running. The lifting is not so exciting right now because I am not increasing weight very much so the workouts seem the same.

Heading up to Seattle for the weekend tomorrow, I won't have any official workouts while I am up there, but will most defiently be getting in a lot of NEAT and try to stay on track with the calories.

I know..i'm the same way. For awhile i'm hardcore running..then i'm hardcore lifting. When thing i've never been is a hardcore rester..which i'm doing for the next two weeks.
Hope you had a nice weekend in Seattle. Did you do anything fun...

Back from Seattle. Was quite fun. I resisted on buying any clothes (I so wanted to buy the size 12 jeans from Eddie bauer - I looked so SMALL in them). My current theory is I am going to hold off buying any clothes until I can fit into size 10. I can't afford to buy new clothes every couple of months, so I am going to try to hold out as long as I can. I am also trying that theory with bras, but I think that in the next month or so new bras will have to be gotten. I don't think I am a size C anymore. For the time being I have tighten up the straps as mush as I can. I'm think it's going to be target or somthing instead of VS. No VS until I am at my final size (unless it's on uber sale)!

Now the bad news.... I came back weighing 171. Before the trip I saw 169. I am pretty sure that it's not "real" weight as I was pretty darn good with intake even though I was not tracking. I know that I didn't go over maintenance calories, and should have been lower. I think perhaps I had more carbs than normal and so storing more water weight. The frustrating thing is tomorrow is the final weigh in for the challange at work and I so want to weigh in as low as I could.. So in that effort, I ate higher protein/lower carb today so hopefully I can shed some water weight before tomorrow's weigh in... one can hope. At any rate I am pretty sure I will show 10 pounds down in 12 weeks. Pretty good. I'm sort of exciting to see if I am "the biggest loser" or not. It's by % of body weight so we'll see!

Exercise for over the weekend was tons of walking around Seattle (which is quick hilly) and today was the interval training of OPT.

Oh - and I discovered this:

Fage USA

Talk about yummy! Too bad (or just as well) it can only be bought at Trader Joe's which is about a 45 minute drive.

Great job on the trip Jen!
I remember when I lost my original 50# (11 years ago!) and trying to decide when to buy clothes and how much to spend... but ENJOY fitting all those smaller sizes - you're doing awesome!

Do you have Super Target or Jewel? They carry them there, at least in IN.

if you have to go to TJ's to get Fage - you should look at the TJ brand Greek yogurt, unsweetened, unflavored. I think it is a better value (at least it is here).

does it come in the whole milk version? I thought I saw only non-fat. Since I tend have a hard time getting the fat in, I've switched to whole milk yogurt. And I have to say it is much yummier!

I think it does at my store (been awhile) - though as I recall it sells out fast - you might have to check more than once to catch it - or call ahead and ask them to save some for you.

Today was final weigh in for the 6 week fitness challenge at work. Apparently several people lost at least 10 pounds so I was not the "biggest loser". Oh well. Still lost 10 pounds (during the challenge) which is defiently something to be happy about.

Did B1 lifting today. Ready to be done with this phase (end of this week). Next week is week 9 - Rest!. Kind of looking foward to it. Good timing as the challenge starts the week after.

Nice work so far Jen. I can totally relate to your Olive Garden episode. I should have gone grocery shopping yesterday but I was being lazy and I didn't have any food to prep for meals for my rare day in the office. I just went over 115 calories because of this. Urrghh!! But like you, I'm going to keep plugging away.

Trader Joe's does have whole milk Greek Yogurt. Fage is popular enough now that I'm seeing it in chain grocery stores. Ask your manager if they could stock some so you won't have to make that long drive.

Keep up the good work,
Donna
