Sorry that you're struggling so much with your medication. It's got to be annoying at the best of times. I do hope you get your levels worked out.

I hate to be a pain....but did you research the Armour? I swear it made a HUGE difference with me and was SO MUCH BETTER than the synthetic stuff. Rilly.

And I'll have cake.
I have brought up the Armour...she's resistant, unless I am off next time again...because I am off again now!! WAY off...my TSH was 34.49 and my FREE T4 was 0.8 and FREE T3 was 209. Sooooo she adjusted my dosage again and I am FINALLY on 5mcg of Cytomel....which I am happy about and I "think" if it's not placebo I already feel a difference with!

Here's hoping it gets better!!! And yes...I'd love the CAKE.......!!!!!!!

Thanks Anne...it's hard enough doing this without something else getting in the way! But I am inspired by you and how you keep going... I hope you are doing well...after your loss.

There have been workouts...the usual beatings....and even some weight loss again....I'm gunning for at least 1 lb a week...so we'll see by the end of this week. There will also be photos soon...to compare to my May photos...they will not be pretty compared to those...but I need to see it!!!

Time to leave for class...or as I like to call it, the fifth ring of Oceanographic hell.

Ok...so...I CAN AVOID the presentation part of the presentation IF I can KILL ALL the tests....cause then I can pass without the presentation!! WAHOOOOO!!! THERE IS GOODNESS IN THE WORLD.

The only time I do math is if my anxiety ridden life depends upon it...like now...when a professor wants me to give a 10 minute presentation about OCEANOGRAPHY!!!

Yay.

I'm right there with ya on the presentation thing. Even if I know the material COLD - there is just something about having to PRESENT it that freaks me out! I'm always afraid I'll bore the crap out of people!

Charlie the Punisher Workout This AM:
(last week I was told that this week he wasn't going to be nice to me anymore...??? He was being nice before this?? Anyway...today I found out what not nice really means. It means JELLY LEGS!!!)

Bosu Ball Step Ups x 15 each leg

Super Squat Machine – Stand on it with hands on the pads instead of shoulders and do a squat then press x 20 no weight just machine

Bosu Ball Step Ups x 15 each leg

Super Squat Machine – Stand on it with hands on the pads instead of shoulders and do a squat then press, 50 lbs x 20

Squat Rack Bar one end on floor, holding onto other end do a squat then baseball swing x 15 each side

Get up from bench and curls, 25lb DB’s x 25

Bench Press, Ab Crunch, stand up, mini squats: 9 progressive sets, starting with 2 of each then 3 of each then 4 of each…etc till 10.

Get up from bench, shoulder press, 25lb DB’s keeping DB’s at shoulders the whole time x 25

Modified Dips off the bench x 20

Kickbacks just for fun, 15lb Db’s x 15 each side

Hammer Curls till failure, 20lb Db’s

12lb DB’s x 1 minute quick punches (KILLING ME!!!!)

Get ups from bench, holding 25lb plate twist side to side x 25

Bosu Ball Step Ups x 15 each leg

Horizontal Leg Press, 240lbs x 25

Hack Squat Machine no weight x 25

Sitting on Bosu one leg in the air, one leg on bench, ab crunches x 15 each leg

Regular Crunches on Exercise ball x 25 left, right then center

Calf Raises x 20 each leg

So...all in all there were 244 leg exercises that resembled some kind of SQUAT. I am guessing he was trying to get my legs sore...since it's been awhile since they're sore...we'll see. It was definitely a fast paced, breathing heavy, keep it moving kind of workout. I was feeling surprisingly good after wards...it's only now that I am feeling a bit tired.

I'm not a fan of presentations. I can do meetings, and I've been the supplier rep in a room with 7 unhappy customer reps without an issue. I just don't like the formal presentation style I guess. Good luck with it though. I'll probably end up having to do one for my Active Citizenship class later this semester as well.

That workout is insane! How long do your workouts with Charlie usually take? I can barely keep track of 5 exercises myself.

When I'm done I go into the locker room and write down what I did...I go back out and check the weights if I'm unsure...and sometimes I leave things out...cause I forgot them and then I realize later on! Oh well! Most of it is there...usually!

Thanks! My workouts are usually an hour long, we sometimes go over just a little bit tho! It was a good one...I just keep thinking...keep going...keep moving...if i stop..I'm toast. If I stop to think one moment what I'm doing or what I'm about to do...I'm dead in the water.

I may chicken out...you see...the presentation itself is only worth 20%...and all the tests etc are more...and within the presentation, the written part is worth 35% of the 20%....SOOOOO...if i kick enough ass on the tests...I don't need to do the presentation part...hehehe...shhhhh! *BAWK BAWK*

Well...it's only been a week...so it's hard to tell, I think I have more energy maybe but I am not sure if I really do or if it's placebo....so...I'll wait another few weeks and then I'll really know. What I do know is that my throat is ANNOYING THE HELL OUTTA ME. Swelling nodules are no fun. I think it's getting better, but again I won't know for sure until another 3 weeks or so...it takes a few weeks for the new dosage to level off.

On another note...my shoulder was acting up last week...it's weird...I think it has more to do with the muscles around my shoulder...my trap on the left side gets HELLA tight and my neck too, and then my shoulder starts to hurt...and feels unstable...IE feels like it pulls out of place a bit...if that makes any sense....anyway...it's better after this weekend...so we'll see what it feels like after tomorrow's ass kicking... I had another beating last thursday...but didn't have time to log it...it was fun tho...upper body...and I was sore afterwards...and after that...50 mins of cardio...including some rowing...prolly not the best idea with my shoulder so I may not do it again anytime soon.

Sorry Kristen... if it's any consolation, I'm up in pounds and inches (my "medium" jeans didn't fit today - had to wear my fat jeans, and don't even ask about the goal jeans)... It's TTOTM, but that's NOT the excuse. I've been eating too much, and macros are totally f-ed since my stomach troubles... Gotta get my NEAT up and my EATing down... fix my macros... and I don't even have a good excuse like you!!!!!!!!

I am sorry too. I don't think anybody here is working harder at this than you are (going by those workouts). It seems so unfair.

Thanks ladies...I was going to write to Alan, but he took it upon himself to check in on my log...sooooooo...he knows how I'm feeling already. I kind of suck at asking for help...especially when I think I should be the one to fix whatever it is...obviously I hired Alan for a reason...because he is the master of all nutrition...so...DUH...I have to ask for help...and utilize this amazing resource. And we will work it out! I don't like sitting back and saying...oh...it's my thyroid...it's not an excuse for me. I know how it makes me FEEL sometimes, but I know I can lose weight despite it's best efforts to thwart me...I have done it. It's just a matter of getting the right combo of exercise and food together...as my levels change. Too much exercise and I run myself into the ground...not enough and I run my metabolism into the ground...so...it's a balancing act for sure. I have acknowledged that I need help. So we shall see what we can figure out!!! And with that...in the next post...my latest beating.....

Charlie the Punisher Strikes Again...
AKA...will I ever walk again???

My Warmup: 10 mins standing position 3 on a spin bike, lots of tension.

Ball Squat Warm Ups

Squat and Press x 20 each arm (using one end of squat rack bar on floor)

AND THEN…

Kettlebell Work: (yayyyyyyyyyy!!)

20lb KB mini squat and clean & press x 20 each arm

20lb KB Figure 8’s x 20 each direction
*Isometric squat trickery...use your obliques he says….core exercise he says.....FUCK THAT MY QUADS WERE SCREAMING!

20lb KB’s, mini squat then press up & out forward for a little for delt action…yay x 25

20lb KB, Incline Ab Crunches with twist and punch at the top x 10 each side
*Did NOT think I could do these…but I did!!!

Also didn’t think I could do these…or at least I haven’t previously been able to!

Hack Squat Machine, BW x 25

Sitting on Ball, feet on bench, ab crunches x 25

Aaaaaannnnd DONE. I was tired today...but I got it all done. I didn't stop, just kept plugging. Forgot my HRM today which was annoying, I really wanted to see how the KB work was compared to other workouts. Oh well...next time. He said there will be more KB in my future, and I'm actually excited about that! Definitely having jelly legs right now...can't wait to see how SORE I'll be tomorrow...or tonight for that matter...lol. Some PR's in here...the russian twist...the REAL ONES...and those incline ab things with a twist and press...WHO KNEW I could do that? I didn't!!!

Another impressive workout!

And sorry 'bout the pics and scale. I hope you can find your perfect balance. You work so hard, you deserve it like katydid said.
