So sorry about the kitty. I know how difficult it can be. You did mention the important thing though - when you're putting her through too much, it's just hard to decide when that is.

Ack, I'm completely off tracking this week. Okay, it is a maintenance week, but I'm really not looking forward to going back to it. Some people can do it without tracking, but I remind myself that for me it's the only option. So Monday morning, maybe even Sunday night... it's back to tracking I go. Good luck with your own struggles.

Thanks all...it was definitely time for her. If we had waited she would have been in pain and a lot of discomfort, and that's no way to live. That being said, it was one of the worst things we've (DH and I) ever had to do!!! We didn't realize how much of a toll she was taking on us either...because taking care of her was just something we did! In the past three weeks especially, she'd been going downhill. We were giving her an IV of subcutaneous fluids twice a day, and she wasn't eating regular cat food so we were blending her food in the blender and adding water to it. She kept moving from one hiding place to another, and we had a small litter box that went with her. Because if we didn't move her little pink bed, and her box...she'd just pee wherever she was laying... We were a hysterical mess on Saturday and then Sunday, we kinda started to feel relief...there were so many things we were used to doing for her, and then looking for her when we came home, checking on her, to see if she was still with us...it was stressful and we didn't realize how much. I miss her terribly, but it was definitely something we had to do for her...and for us. She's in kitty heaven for sure...playing with Otis and my kitties Mad Max and Deegan. Oh Miss BooBoo's...we'll miss you!

Boo #1
(I see you.....)

Boo #2 (this one gives you an idea how little she was to start with she's laying next to her daddy's shoes!)

Boo #3 (cattitude!!!)

Boo #4

On another front...I was doing better with my tracking....until Saturday, it kinda all went out the window this weekend. But, back on track today...so hopefully it will be ok from now on. Maybe with a little peace in my heart now I'll be able to get going again!!!

I know how you feel... it takes a big toll on us to care for ailing pets (or kids or parents or anyone)... When we were taking care of our beloved Jakey-dog after his amputation and then chemo and then a few years later his decline, it was hard. At the end, he would just pee where he was lying and we'd have to help him to even stand up... When we finally took him in (and it took a few months of us debating and making and canceling appointments with the vet), it was because I read about how animals (especially pack animals like dogs) won't show pain because the pack would kill the weak member. So we realized he was REALLY in a lot of pain but trying to be stoic...

After he was gone, we never once second-guessed our decision... and it was a lot less stressful to not worry about him 24/7...

You did the right thing, and she's not in pain... And the pics (especially the one with the shoes) are precious!

Interesting about the dogs not wanting to show pain. She was a tough little kitty for sure. We know we made the right choice, but it's still good to hear that it sounds like the right one. It's never easy taking another living thing's life...but sometimes it's for the best.

I so didn't wanna go to the appt...I knew that the vet would probably agree with how we felt...but...it is what it is.

Friday's Workout:

Speed Bag - 10 mins

Double Ended Bag - 10 mins

Heavy Bag, 3 Rounds, 3 mins each

Tire Flips x 20

I was tired...the boxing took it out of me, it was perfect stress relief tho. No workouts since, Saturday I was definitely not in any shape, or sunday...and I'm in stoopid class now, so.....

Speaking of which....this prof...who's such a stickler for rules right...who ignored my email before class about missing the first one for a vacation???....you know...THAT professor....he's out THIS WEEK and NEXT week...for a vacation...to Germany to see his son. SO...he moved out test up a week, and his friend will be teaching the class for two weeks. WTF??? Can anyone say ginormous double standards???

Not that you asked, but... this was our boy when he was young and healthy (and had all 4 legs)... the sweetest most gentle and loving dog that ever lived, and a great running partner... rescued from the city pound.

ETA: cross posted - glad the workout was stress relief, and WOW on the prof - what a jerk!!!

Awwwwwwww....pet photos are always welcome in my log!! He was adorable Bytsi!!!! Such sweet eyes...and I love the ears....too cute! I always had a dog growing up and I do miss it...tho I say I don't want more pets, I think they're good for kids...they provide lots of life lessons. He looks like some sheepdog mix in there...maybe accounts for the good running???!!!

Also, I am being SUCH a good girl today. I am SOOOOOO HOOOOOONNNNGGGGGRRRRRYYYYY...i t sucks when you go from screw it I'll eat what I want back to, ok now lets be serious again. It makes rumblies in my tumblie.

so sorry to hear about your kitty Sidonia (and your horsey Karla), it's such a hard thing to do but it's good to know that you helped them not suffer anymore, you know? We had to go through this too with a couple of our cats, and believe me, you'll regret every moment if you waited too long. Even though I'm an atheist, I believe they're someplace of eternal nommy noms, chasing butterflies while simultaneously napping in the sun.

It's so hard dealing with illnesses of pets. You feel that you want to explain what's going on (and you can't). However, she knew that you loved her, and that's what is important in the end.

This doesn't surprise me at all. We had a class cancelled on Thursday and although it led to a long break for us, for others it was their first class of the day. I'm not looking to whatever BS story he spins tomorrow. We agreed that if he missed an 8am class we'd have to hurt him .

Kristen, my thoughts are with you. I'm so sorry about your Boo. I never truly understoon how hard it is to lose a pet until Sophie was taken from me. NOW, I truly get it and I ache for you. Hang in there.

Beating from Charlie The Punisher, Tuesday, October 8th!!

Supersets Upper Body and Lower...a nice well rounded beating.

Ball Squat Warm Ups
Bosu Warm Ups (step ups and push ups)

BB Bench:
bar x 25
65lbs x 20
95lbs x 15
115lbs x 15
135lbs x 8 (Most reps at that weight, I think...)

Horizontal Leg Press
140lbs x 25
180lbs x 20
200lbs x 15
250lbs x 15
300lbs x 15 (Never did this much on this machine.)

DB Flys
20lbs x 20
30lbs x 20
35lbs x 15

Leg Extension Machine

60lbs x 25
70lbs x 25
80lbs x 20

(Lower Squat than usual) KB Swings
(w/DB's)
25lb x 25
30lbs x 20
40lbs x 15

DB Shoulder Press
25lbs x 25
30lbs x 20
35lbs x 15

*These were HARD...not sure if it's cause my shoulders were tired or what but maybe I should do these more often!

Cable Curls

60lbs x 25
70lbs x 20
80lbs x 15!!! OWWWWWWIES.

Cable Push Downs
80lbs x 25
100lbs x 20
120lbs x 15 YEEEEAAAAOOOOCHHHHH.

Don't know how to put these so here goes on of my weirdo descriptions and we did three rounds of each: YAY!

Stationary Squat with cable extended, arms in pallof position, squat then twist to one side 60lbs x 20 x 3 sets

Alternating Forward Lunges with 25lb DB'S x 30 x 3 sets

Ball Crunches x 25 x 3 sets

DONE.

It was a beating from hell and I loved every minute of it. I recently had another of my B12 shots...and I'm thinking maybe I'd like to have MORE of them more often...if this is going to be the outcome!!!

Hey Kristen... as I said on Facebook, I'm sorry about your kitty. Bob has had Simba the last week or so (i've been doing some stuff around here and did not want the cat to be in the way for it since it involves spraying) and I miss the little beast, but I dont' want anything to happen to him either.

I posted some Pictures of Mrs. B's new boxer puppy in my journal. She's such a cutie patootie.

Today's workout was ok. Still not feeling 100%. Have appt with Endo on Thursday...and it can't come soon enough. I just feel like things are wrong...feels like I'm burning the candle at both ends...usually that means I need an adjustment. And I'm hoping that she will FINALLY let me go back on Cytomel again...I could use some help. Aside from the physical...my head's just not together. I've been fuzzy and feeling not awake when I know I slept...and it's just getting annoying now.

This flip flopping has got to stop! On the one hand, she puts me on 225mcg of synthroid and I end up going hypER...then she backs down to 200 mcg and I end up slowing down and going hyPO. (the pills come in weird measurements so it makes it hard to adjust slightly) I am going to suggest, since the pills only come in these weird increments, that I take the 200mcg pill, and then take 1/2 of the 25mcg pill setting my dose at 212.5mcg. Hopefully since it's in between I will stop swinging from high to low and stay more steady. It's so frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!! I think she'll listen, given my weight is up a lot since my last visit...and...of course AF is here so it looks even WORSE!!! Maybe that will motivate her to give me some Cytomel...

*sigh* Why can't I just be normal???

Totally forgot I also did kb swings somewhere in there. I'm going to encourage Charlie to do some more kb stuff...I like it and it's challenging for me. Maybe it's time to get a few!!

Thanks, I feel like I know my body well enough by now that I need an adjustment of some sort. Looking for some good news in Thursday!

In other news I'm going out to dinner with a girlfriend I haven't seen in awhile and who I have missed spending time with. Both of us love sushi, it's our favorite...so...tomorrow will be the IF till lunch and them an all veggie buffet till summertime to save my carbs and calories till then! I'm gonna see how long I can hold out the IF. When I am actually hungry and not just bored I will eat. Hoping the planning ahead will pay off...even tho the soy may cause an initial bloat!

I love Eddie Izzard. And he's a damn good actor. I saw him in a movie the other night and he was actually unrecognizable.

I hate to be a pain....but did you research the Armour? I swear it made a HUGE difference with me and was SO MUCH BETTER than the synthetic stuff. Rilly.

And I'll have cake.
