Snickers? Where???

Today's Workout with Charlie the Punisher:

Boxing, full hour!!!

Speed Bag 10 mins for warm ups
Double Ended Bag x warm ups

Pad training:
1-2, Right Hook, Right Hook, Step, Left Hook x 25
1-2, Power Right x 25
Small, quick upper cuts for a min straight
Fast Jabs till fail

Heavy Bag x 3 mins - Called combinations

Pad training:
1-2, Right Hook, Right Hook, Step, Left Hook x 25
1-2, Power Right x 25
Mini Squat and Left Hooks x 20
Mini Squat and Right Hooks x 20

Heavy Bag x 3 mins - Called Combos

Heavy Bag - 25 left jab and then Hard Rights in a row

Speed Bag and Double Ended Bag Again

ABS - Same torture as the other day, crunches with one leg on the bench and the other in the air x 15 each leg and then 15 straight with both legs on the bench

Afterwards I was feeling so disgusted since my heavy bag work was pathetic that I stayed and did another 50 mins of cardio. I felt better after that.

Then went home and cooked:
Sausage and Peppers with Turkey Sausage for hubby
My favorite veggie soup!!!! This time i added lots of turkey breast for a LOAD of the protein that I can't seem to get enough of in my macros.

I also have more turkey and more ground turkey to cook. Yay!!!

For now...it's nite nite time! So....NITE NITE!

Tonight's Weird Workout:

I've been kinda all over the place lately...I'm finding it hard to focus but I think I'll get my ass in gear soon.

So...weird workout but here it is:

DB Chest Press
45lbs x 8
45lbs x 8
50lbs x 6
50lbs x 6

Seated Rows
120lbs x 10
130lbs x 10
140lbs x 10

Cable Curls
70lbs x 12
80lbs x 12
90lbs x 12

Push Downs
90lbs x 15
100lbs x 12
110lbs x 12

Tire Flips, 2 sets 20 each

Speed Bag, 10 mins
Double Ended Bag 25 hits x 2

Done!

Weird...I know...but fun and at least I did the tire flips!! I was so much more tired than I was the last time I had done them. I can't wait go have my endurance back again.

Today did some speed bag for ten-fifteen mins and then cardio on the elliptical. 25 mind, intervals for the first 15 and then just some steady state. Since I have my (incredibly boring wanna shoot myself in the face) oceanography class tomorrow night I won't make it to the gym so I had to go today!!! You all know I'd rather be made to do jumping jacks naked in the middle of the gym rather than go back to this class...? Ok...sorry for that visual...but it's so true!!!

Sitting on Ball Twists x 30

Regular crunches on Ball x 25

Die.

All I can say is I'm glad I got that Gatorade this morning...lol! I'm starting to feel my cardio come back...last week I'd have died trying this workout. The punisher seemed pleased as well. Several guys standing around made comments about not wanting to ever piss me off during my ball slams...so I must be getting better! YAY!!

Note: Picturing your tool of a professor's head during the ball slams really helps motivation.

THANKS! It was SO much fun...I didn't like my cardio being blah, I am so looking forward to more of these ass kicking workouts. It just makes me FEEL better. And yeah...picturing the tool REALLY was a nice release...you HAVE to try them...so damn FUN!

I'm basically taking my own notes outta the book (since he "teaches" directly from it) and in class I surf da net and get other work done.

Did I read correctly? That you are doing all this lifting and such on super low carbs?

If you are, that is totally incredible. I am in total awe.

Hai dere! I am pretty low carb I guess. I go to the gym around 5 days a week usually, sometimes only 4. (and sometimes more!) The two days that I have a trainer are considered "training days" and I am supposed to have only 118g of carbs those days...which is a lot compared to my non-training days (the days I kick my own ass) which ranges from lifting to boxing to tire flipping to other normal cardio, where I am only supposed to have 63g of carbs. Now that's not to say I don't screw up my macros every now and then and go under...but I'm usually pretty good. So I guess the short answer was...yes...and thanks!

I can't imagine what my workouts would be like with 200+g of carbs...a beautiful thing I suppose...and I'll have to be a good girl and lose the fat so I can get to the point of actually knowing what that's like.

Or...I can just join an all women's tackle football league...and Alan will have to change up my macros....hehehe

Oh yeah and I forgot...also...my calories range from 1365 to 1685 on the workout days (and I currently weight just over 300lbs) because my thyroid is a no good lousy non functioning POS. But other than that...

Hai Anne! Thanks...but there's no way I'd get half of it done without him standing there...it comes down to a matter of not letting him win!!! I'm too competitive for that...

Workouts!!!...yes I HAVE been doing them:

Wednesday: Weird....Speed Bag 15 mins and then:

Chest Press

45lbs x 6
45lbs x 6
50lbs x 6
50lbs x 6
55lbs x 6

Then I felt too tired to proceed into the rest of a weight workout, so I tailored it to some cardio with intervals. 30 mins, first 15 intervals, elliptical.

Thursday's Workout with Charlie the Punisher:
(apologies in advance for the weird descriptions of the things we did!!)

Once again, he lives up to his name and does not disappoint...also this workout took place outside...and it was humid and already 78 degrees at 10:30am!!!

Bosu Ball Step Ups x 20 each leg (but of course)

Standing on bosu with stretchy cable thingie (very technical fitness equipment term) attached to the fence, arms in Pallof press position, mini squat holding arms out, then twist to opposide side of fence keeping arms extended the whole time x 15 each side (Whilst doing these I am simultaneoulsly thinking damn this sucks and why did I introduce him to Pallof Presses???)

Standing on Stretchy band thingie, mini squats and explosive curls x 25

Bosu Ball Step Ups x 20 each leg

Stretchy band thingie attached to fence again, standing on bosu again, this time mini squat, one armed fly to center, then twist to the side x 15 each side

Overhead Sledgehammer hits / mini squat to tire
x 15 each arm

Sideways Sledgehammer hits to tire
x 15 each arm

Bosu Ball Step Ups x 20 each leg

Tire Flips
x 20

Pad Training:

Left, Right, Hard Right x 25
Left, Right, Left Hook, Right Hook, Right Hook, Left Hook x 25

Overhead Sledgehammer hits / mini squat to tire x 15 each arm

Sideways Sledgehammer hits to tire
x 15 each arm

Bosu Ball Step Ups x 20 each leg

Tire Flips
x 20

50 Ball Crunches

And then we went back inside the gym and I crawled up the stairs and did another 30 mins of cardio on the Precor 100i!!! YAYYYY!!!

This morning, my forearms are KILLING ME. Sledgehammer...no doubt. I do look forward to more of it tho...my legs and abs are also a bit sore, and I haven't been sore in awhile. After awhile, I was training so much for so long I wasn't getting sore really...it's nice to think I finally gave my body enough of a break that it had time to heal...so I can bust it up again!!

On another note...I am being EXTREMELY unhappy with my weight. I am at 313.8 this morning...and whereas I know my rings do not fit and there is some bloat going on...I am still having heart failure at the sight of ANYTHING over 310. I am going to re-examine Alan's last plan...and try to break it down again and RE-Plan my foods and tighten up on the macros. Since vacation I have just been dreading logging and counting...I don't know why. Maybe because I have been logging for over a year now...and I barely take a logging break? I don't know what it is...but I need to snap out of it... I was just starting to really get my food in order and learn how to keep it in check, and vacation kind of killed it and I feel like I have to re-learn it all over again.

I got pretty lax over the summer...I was still tracking but my choices were less then stellar. I was super motivated to kick it in the ass after Labor Day, then I got sick. Boo. Don't be too hard on yourself...you are working hard both diet and exercise wise!

And I agree about wondering what it will be like to workout with lots o carbs and fully fueled bodies. Watch out!

Yay for sledgehammer, Boo for mean scales...

I have a LOT of trouble getting back on track... obviously... just look at my (pathetic) log... Hope you can find that nice balance of tracking and breaks!
