Hooray on the weight loss! I'm sorry you're out of the challenge too--but I disagree that your rate of loss wasn't up to par. Lots didn't lose even though they were trying to, and some of us didn't lose b/c we weren't trying to! But I do get your point though.

I hope your back is ok today. I know what you mean about the little things...weird.

Yah, I am feeling a little bad about it now that I'm not in anymore...but I was putting extra pressure on myself because of the challenge, and I was thinking maybe I should alleviate some of that given the other stuff going on...oh well...there's always the next one!!! And thanks about the back...it was weird...but seems to be gone today...just a little tightness. I'll stretch it out later before I train!

I think it a wise choice to not do the challenge if it adds stress. Now you will be in the boring people's folder. LOL!

Congrats on the mini-woosh. It sux when the body retains water. Sleep really helps push that through.

Thanks Karla...I am really realizing that sleep plays a HUGE part in my weight loss...I am actively trying to get more of it, and to lessen my stress...but...with me feeling constantly responsible for my dad and my grandmother...it's been hard to do that!

On another note, today is my dad's appt with the Adult Neuro Doc...so...we'll see what she says about him possibly having Parkinson's. At least I'll have some kind of answer....

Tonight's Workout: Cardio: Elliptical Cross Trainer for 15 mins, Treadmill for 30 mins, Speed Bag for 10 mins

So we had my father's appt today...and the doctor is pretty convinced he has Parkinson's. So, they put him on the medication to see if he responds and now it's just a waiting game. The good news is she made me feel a lot better about it all, and he is being really positive because we all were during the meeting. So...it went well I think! Basically if he responds to the meds then she is right...which I hope she is, because otherwise we have to start doing more tests to see what it may be!!

It's not as bad as I thought...there is so much they can do now by way of therapy as well to help him. So I am encouraged that he can live a long and healthy life! And as long as he's still here I'm HAPPY!!!

One of the ladies who rents from me has parkinsons. I hang out with her a lot actually when I have a few moments (she watches my doggy during the day in fact). There is a LOT of things they can do and while it sucks on one level it is also one of the kinder ones....

It's true...it is one of the kinder ones...I wasn't sure at the beginning. But knowing more about it now, I'm not as upset and much more hopeful. Thanks Karla...

Having a lazy day...TOM and all...friends of ours really wanted us to get into Buffy...so we've been watching season one this weekend. I was skeptical about getting into it, but I have to say...it's getting better each episode....damn...I'm suck a sucker.

Anyway...Food is good so far. I am toying with the idea of posting my food in here and daily weights too. I'm just trying to figure out the easiest way to post the food. I could attach each day as a pic...cause I send them to ALan as a pic...so maybe I'll do that...8)

I can't link directly to them...they don't show up, because I have to log in to see them. Hmmmm...gonna go figure it out!

Buffy as in THE Buffy? Yeah, it gets better than the first bunch of episodes, and then it gets bad, then good, then emo, then evil, then they sing, then it gets ok, then it's ehhhh, then it ends. PS, Eliza Dushku is hot.

Yeah...THE Buffy...8) We have 4 more episodes from season 1...then we move on. I dunno if we got to Eliza yet...I don't remember seeing her...she is pretty hawt. Tho, I am kinda liking Angel too... I am waiting for when they dress Willow up in some latex with crazy matrix gear...that would be fun.

So...annoying but good I guess Dr's appt today. Last time I was there, in October, she lowered my Synthroid to 200mcg and this time my levels are LOW again so I'm back up to 225mcg. I can't stand the thyroid roller coaster!!! Here's the breakdown for anyone who cares:

TSH: 27.47 Range: 0.40-4.50 mIU/L

Free T4: 0.7 Range: 0.8-1.8 ng/dL
Free T3: 186 Range: 230-420 pg/dL

Also my Hemoglobin is low...so I'm still anemic...it's 11.2. Looks like more red meat and spinache in my future.

At least I know the woozies I have and the loss of energy at the end of my workouts is not in my head. And there is room to improve on it. I'm wondering if there is a liquid iron supplement maybe my tummy will do better with something like that instead.

Who knows...we'll find out tho!!!!!! I have my general doc appt on Thursday...it's Doctor week. Yay.

Yeah, sorry about the thyroid roller coaster--that would totally suck... Glad you found out about the low iron though. At least that is a little more changeable. Hope the other appt goes well...

Thanks guys...yah..I'll be working on the iron this week hardcore...see what I can do about it. It would be so nice to not feel weak at the end of the workout.

I'm hoping the thyroid meds will be a good thing...and help the weight come off faster...lol.

Short Workout tonight: 25 mins Rowing.
