I don't think the foam has anything to do with how heavy you are. once you work out the knots and bunches and everything else, it just doesn't hurt. Pretty much regardless.
Looking good in here K. I have never gotten into the whole purse thing, but never say never.
Bummer about the knee pain. I hate that for you, but I don't have knee issues and the darn spin bike hurts mine, too. I am an ankle-issue gal.

I guess whatever floats your boat!

Yeah, but there's more pressure on the spot you are rolling on...and then it's hard to hold myself up...so as not to KILL my muscles...lol...it's totally do able tho, I just have to actually commit to doing it more than once a month!!!

Hey thanks chica!!! Yeah it really took me awhile to be a purse girl, I was mostly a throw my wallet in my pocket and go...but...now I have too much stuff I have to carry around to do that!
The knees suck...but I'll work around them...I may go pro football and just sit in a tub of ice one of these days!
Rowing Machine, 20 mins - DAMN does this kick my ass. IZ GUD!
I think I need to think about using my mexican wraps on my knuckles more often...my left hand was a bit swollen this morning. I'm thinking maybe I was a little irritated yesterday and hitting harder than I usually do...cause this is the first time it's ever happened. Plus my left is usually a weaker shot, so I was confused. Anyway, I'll ice it a bit tonight and see how it feels.
Off to the gym in a bit....more rowing in my future, I'll lay off the bag for tonight since my hand is a bit weirdo.
I am close to my next Dr. checkup. My general doc appt is next week, and my endo is on the 22nd...once they clear me...(I SO HOPE!!!) I can get back to my program!! I mentioned to Alan that I'd love it if he'd come up with something new...and he's game. The old one was beginning to be a bit boring anyway.
Working with Alan has been great. He's always more than happy to addresse my questions, not matter how silly they may be and he aleviates my concern about the weight fluctuations. I know I will do well with his help!
Anywhoooo...guess I have some work to do before I leave!
If you work out in a public gym - take a mental note of how many treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, rowing machines and step mills they have. The further you proceed through that list, the fewer there will be, because you're increasing the difficulty.

pfft. you'll get it done quicker than the 120-pound girl who can't get *enough* pressure.
True....true....now all I have to do is actually DO it...lol...instead of making fun of the hubby when he does it...hehehehe...looks like he's humping the roller...hehehe...

I guess so...I started on the treadmill cause that was all I knew, then the bikes, then the elliptical, and the cross ramp trainer, and now the rowing machine...all that's left are the steppers and the step mill...eek....the step mill...maybe when i'm lighter...or my knees may fall off!!
no, don't do the stepmill. Its steps aren't full depth, so you can only get the front part of your foot on there, thereby making it a huge load on the quads, barely any glute, and killer on the knees. absolute suckage, and not in a good way.
As far as humping the roller, it does set the hips into a good position for some funness, but then it's all hard and crap…
Yeah...I used to do about 5 mins on the stepmill by orders of my idiot trainer at the time...she KILLED my knees...she was also the one having me do large loads on the leg press...luckily she's gone now!!!
I always hated that there's no room for your feet...and if you have big feets like me (9.5-10) it's REALLY NO FUN!
Hmmmm...whilst we're watching Jon Stewart...maybe some roller humping....
Ok...sooooo last night before bed I was blowing my nose and I got this ringing in my ear, and this morning, I can't hear so much out of my right ear...only about half way. So I'll be doing to the ENT this am...and hoping that it's nothing!! I am a little freaked out...but we'll see!!!
Yeah...I can hear you now...lol...I spent most of the morning saying "WHAT" to everything my hubby said to me...he was not amused.

So...Dr didn't say much. It has gotten a lot better since I woke up yesterday and couldn't hear! He said it happens sometimes, it was tinnitus. BAD tinnitus...lol. Apparently it also happens more often to people with thyroid disease? Weird.
Anyway...it's much better today, it only rings if I talk too loud, or if there are really loud noises.
Oh well! It's never a dull moment with me I guess. If it happens again I have to go back. I'm hoping it won't!
I had brief ear trouble about a year ago and I remember how worrying it was. More recently I thought it was coming back and then found out from coworkers that a client had just gotten very mumbly and that none of us could hear her well!!

Hi there.

Also...workout last night...hopefully from next week on, it will only be listed in here as an addition to another workout:
Rowing, 24 mins, almost 4000 meters...whatever that means...too bad there was never a rowing team anywhere...I quite enjoy it...weirdo that I am! As an added bonus...grunty mc grunterson used to use the rowing machine all the time, and now that I'm there, he can't use it when I'm on it...so I'm spared his grunting!!! YAYYY!!!
kristen, rowing is the absolute best! I learned to row crew in the 8 person boat and scull in the single a few years back. I will return to it when my schedule permits. rowing is very time intensive, getting the boats in, out, cleaned so on. a total blast.
YAYYYYYYY!!! Went to the Dr today...and it was good news!! My BP is back to normal....!!! She was happy about that, and took my pulse too...she said I had the pulse of an athlete...lol...62bpm. I had better, with all that rowing!
Anyways that means I can start my boxing next week and a weight lifting plan too...I can't wait!!
