sorry about the hair - not sure what you do in an instance like that - hate to think she's still out there!

OMG Paula - I LOVE that picture!! Thanks!!!

Karen - I was watching part of Tabatha's Salon Makeover on tv, and now I wish she'd come in and see what this supposedly nice salon I went to is really like - and maybe fire the idiot who chopped my hair!
... Wish I had the guts to go in there and complain, but I probably won't .

Ginger - thanks! Yes, I did it!!! (now, what will the scale do... the mystery continues )

I'm hungrier today than yesterday... weird... Ate 1450 (I was aiming for 1400 but I snacked while waiting for dinner to cook)... If I just don't eat anymore today I'll be fine... sigh... I SHOULD go for a walk or something, but... don't know if that'll happen either. It's already almost 8pm and kids are home and dogs need attention (long story but they ended up locked up WAY too long today )... I'd walk 'em but one of 'em hates walks (or any exercise ). Making excuses... mostly I think I must be a bit tired too.

Yayyy the week is over! Good job there...I can only imagine how good it felt to get back in there at karate.

Sorry to hear about the hair...I hate it when that happens...we tried a few places before we found a good one...one of the places left my color in, and practically the whole shop went out to have cigarette and left me in there, and when the buzzer went off I had to go out front to get someone...idiots...

Yay on the lbs down too...I can't wait to see how you progress now!

Hey Bree & CeeBee - I think it was a success, if for no other reasons than I got the "pig out" out of my system (for a while) and I learned that I can't do THAT much damage in one week

It felt SO good to work out again!!!

I'm always amazed at the hair horror-stories I hear... I do like it more now, but it's still awfully short

Weight - 144.5# today (up 1/2#) but... still AF, and still not the highest. I feel like I'm handling hunger a little bit better now... I'm still hungry, but I feel less urge to just pig out. Maybe I want desperately to see that nice drop after the break week, but also I got to eat plenty and it wasn't quite as much fun as I remembered... it's hard for me to just let go and eat (although I managed ).

Today - karate. Not sure if I'll do one class or two...

Been thinking about the Bugg. I still have about 5 weeks left on my subscription, but I feel like I finally have a good grip on my calorie burn... I didn't wear it on the weekend for an entire day (partly cuz I was in a tank top and taking it easy anyay) and now maybe I'm getting ready to move on from it. Not sure. I don't think I want to wear it daily anymore... Not sure though if I should sell it or let DH wear it for a while or ??? Just thinking "out loud" here...

Hey Bytsi... Glad to hear your thoughts on the rest week. The most valuable lesson from this is the fact that you realize how you cannot do that much damage in a week of eating more but still sensibly.

I am doing incredibly well on my time off. Haven't done anything except a short walk on the beach. Am eating massive amounts of cleanish foods (eating out so it can't be that clean) and just enjoying my time. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out in the end. This is as lax as I have been yet. No desire to workout yet though I sometimes get an itch to have 135lbs across my back.

Anne - that is PRECIOUS - I love that hamster

Karate - did both classes (had to atone for a little slip with the cheerios ). No major damage done, but I figured it couldn't hurt to add a bit of activity since I did dip into the box a bit while cooking (seems to be my weak time - I get hungry and can't seem to wait for dinner to be ready. Hmmmmm). Got good 'n' sweaty in karate - fun except for the part where the guy in class who has NO control kicked me really hard right in the stomach. Ooooof! He said sorry (it was during a part where there wasn't supposed to be ANY contact!) but he ALWAYS does that and it's getting old, ya know?

Measurements today (even though AF is still here and I just came off the rest week). Pics will be taken this weekend, but I'll post measurements... they're weird and kinda all over the place but nothing awful...

Know it too well (the guys who always knee and elbow me in the face at BJJ. Only some of mine never even say sorry. Pfft.).

Love that hamster, too. Saw it this morning on ICHC and thought of you.

Do you think it could be sort of intentional--you know, the passive-aggressive jealousy thing (the GUY way)?

HOORAY on the weight loss and the inches! After Aunt Flo packs up I bet they go down even more!

YAYY for red on the chart! Nice BF reduction there!

I think you should totally kick him in the stomach next class and be like..."oops...sorry". Maybe do this for a few classes and see if he gets the point?? Lol...

Thanks... not enough red though... it was a weird month, and a sucky time to measure, just coming off the refeed week.

I sure hope the pounds pack up and go - today back UP to 144.5# I'm still waiting for the big drop.

But... confession... I ate some kashi go lean crunch last night (as in, right outta the damn box) and went over calories - I was just SOOOO freakin' hungry and I gave in . Hard to lose when I decrease my deficit, especially on a rest day .

I would love to kick the dude, I would... he's a known menace. My H is much lower rank than I am (this guy is only one belt below me) - when he screwed up and hit my H, Sensei told my H to go ahead and punch him in the nose - now most people would NOT do this - but my H did !!! He's also kinda disrespectful to me and women in general - he either kills us or won't even touch us - he doesn't just treat us like a "regular" (read: male) class member. Bleh.

Thanks... sigh...

Today - GREAT workout - I started Power Training and it was fun but it KILLED me. Been a LONG time since I did 4x10's!!!!!

Power Training A1

(Chin-ups before starting) 3.5 bw, 2 bw. Pullups w/ jump-stretch band - 8, 6

Explosive - Hang Jump Shrug - 4x5, 45#, 90#, 90#, 90# - hopefully form improved as I got used to this move

Bilateral Knee Dominant - Front Squat - 4x10, 45, 65, 65 - skipped 4th set cuz wrists hurt SO bad

Unilateral Hip Dominant - Single-leg Good Morning - 4x10 @ 45#

Bilateral Horizontal Push - Bench Press - 4x10 @ 95# (barely eeked out the last one!)

Unilateral Horizontal Pull - 1-Arm Standing Cable Row - 4x10 - first 2 sets 60#, last 2 sets 70#

Bilateral Vertical Push - Barbell Shoulder Press - 3x10 50#, 1x8 50# - total FAIL on rep 9 of last set!

Unilateral Vertical Pull - 1-Arm Lat Pulldown - 4x10 @ 70# (probably a bit redundant with chinups and pullups, but I don't count them as part of the "program")

Rotation - V-set med-ball twist - 4x10 w/ 6.6# ball

Bridge Core - Plank - 2x60, got bored and it was very late, so quit at 2 reps

Cardio - none

A new low!!! 143# this morning
I guess AF is leaving and hopefully this also means the rest week helped...

I stuck to my calories (came in at 1394) even though I did a heavy lift yesterday... my protein was over 150g (not sure how I did it, but it's good!). I was SO miserably hungry last night though - hanging out, DD was eating ice cream (straight outta the container ) and DH got out chips and dip and crunched LOUDLY . Ugh!!!! Ended going up to bed just to get away from them.

Leaving for kickboxing in a little while... hope it'll be fun. I am SORE from yesterday - mostly my pecs from those chest presses... My friend from karate is the kickbox teacher today, so he'll make it interesting, I'm sure

I deal with the same issues, Bytsi. I know how hard it is to walk away from chips and ice cream, when it is right there!
But, it looks like you had a great reward by seeing the new low on the scale.
Your workout looks awesome. Nice job!

Sometimes I think my family purposely tortures me with snack food wheN I'm hungry... And then I listen to H complain about his weight (he's running a marathon in one month and he wants to be lower - so don't eat the damn chips!!!!!)

Back from kickboxing, off to teach Women's Self Defense in a few minutes... busy is good
Kickboxing was a tough workout - lots of bodyweight moves and I already have some DOMS from yesterday... but I impressed them (and myself!) when I managed 4.5 chinups (he does it like a combo kickbox / bootcamp class)...

Just updated my goals challenge in that thread... not gonna bore people with it here since it's all part of the log anyway.

Must stop drooling over men in off-topic section

Hey, that is some very nice, steady progress you are making. Congrats on sticking with it. The new program looks like a real challenge. Good luck with it!

Thanks!!! I like the program already, although it took me forever in the gym to finish compared to stage 6 (or 5 or 4...) of NROLW. 4 sets takes a while! Can't wait to get past the 10 rep stage ("only" 3 weeks of it).

Self defense class was good - we had 9 women today... I thought I was gonna escape without too bad a beating, but then Sensei decided to show what an "advanced" student can do... only good thing is I kicked him pretty hard in the face (I was on my back, he was trying to jump on top of me, he ducked his face down at the wrong moment!). I'll have some nice marks on my arms, legs, and around my throat from a choke hold... sigh... hopefully won't be visible in progress pics that I plan to take tomorrow (bruises don't seem to look as bad in pics as they do in person)! If you do see marks, you'll know why!!!

I just have to put this pic of my "family" here cuz they're too cute!
