Thank you everyone!! Sorry nutbar! Been kinda the week from h-e-l-l here.. I'll get back into my normal routine here today and back to a workout at last. Failed to mention that along with the sunburn (kind of a bad one), I also have a nice flush of tick bites, several rashes of poison ivy (including one where one should never ever get one!) and I boogered my shoulder a little in an impromptu fighting pistol course given by a really cool Marine at the campout. I even got hollered at for screwing up! Just like the old military dayz LOL. I'm kinda surprised he didn't drop me for push ups
So irritable, achey and kinda stressed but I'm back on program today and will get right back after it tonite on weights.
Did another elliptical workout Sunday for 45 and then 5 hours of general gardening and heavy cleaning....I was too whooped to lift weights after that so I'll give it a go tonite
Got another 3 hours in on gardening...then this. Right after which DH has me help him move the massive heavy chicken tractor which amounts to a walking deadlift Doh! Bad timing there
50 minutes elliptical tonite...great destressor. I had to tell DH tonite that I've under-appreciated the amount of job stress he's had to deal with in his promotion, since now I'm starting to notice the pressure build on myself to do well at my new assignment.
Looking forward to June Doom with nutbar. Hope I can keep up!!

We'll kick our own asses. I'm using this as a mostly rest week -- just doing some very light cardio stuff here and there to get in some movement -- in order to be fully pumped for the entire month of June. I'm getting antsy, though, not doing much!
We're adding "The Last Ten Pounds, 30 days to Abs Without Changing Your Diet" by Alwyn Cosgrove to what we are already doing. Starting Strength for nutbar and NROL4W Stage 7 for me. 'Cept we'll prolly change our diets and aren't that worked up over abs showing, just want the fatloss.
Wish us luck, it's gonna be killer Gonna have to add a morning session to my usual evening workout schedule to get it all to fit in. But I figure I can survive just about anything for 30 days.
Yep, Jane, what Susan said. Here's the article. I'll be doing my SS and some running plus the Cosgrove article... mostly. Personally, I've got more than the "last 10" to lose but I just wanted to do something different, kind of wild and crazy, just to shake things up and see how my body responds to it. (I'd have tried WSFL but am too cheap to pay $80 for a limited program. LOL)
Nice workout, Susan! I got about the same number of deer ticks over the weekend on my hike. Stupid bugs. I'm still itching.
Good luck with June Doom, Susan! I started adding a morning session in and now I feel a little nekkid without it. It breaks things up and jumps my body first thing. I'll be watching you gals!

I dunno if you already do this or not, but one change I've felt that has helped me with weight loss is to have a piece of fruit within 20 minutes of getting up and cottage cheese within 20 minutes before going to bed. My metabolism seems to like that.

Thanks all! Found more ticks today, I should start a collection! Got about an hour worth of hill climbing at work. Also got some HIIT in tonite plus SS after. Five 30 sec sprints and 30 minutes SS on the elliptical.
Might try the cottage cheese at night thing and see if it keeps me up...sometimes late eating will do that to me.

June Doom scheduling is already an issue for me LOL. I'm in fire school the rest of the week with an hour and half commute each way so it's gonna be tight to get it all in. We'll see how it goes.
Thank you Karen and Ginger! The changes are soo slow it's really good to get feedback from people who don't see me everyday
I managed to Doom it today despite my schedule. I got the 45 minute walk part done over my lunch break and class breaks which included some step sprinting. At home I did the BB matrix, 5 HIIT sprints and 15 additional minutes on the elliptical.
The BB matrix I need to load heavier next time as I did twice as many rounds as what was the goal for the 15 minutes. I didn't know what to expect with it so I just used 55 pounds. The matrix is one each no rest for as many rounds as possible in 15 minutes of: deadlift, romanian deadlift, bent over row, high pull, power clean, front squat, push press, back squat. I did 20 rounds.
Got my walk in over lunch and breaks, 45 minutes total.
Tonite was Stage 7/4
I didn't have the step ups in me tonite so I did an extra round of everything else Stupid paid bfast and lunch through fire school blows my cals by lunch so the evenings kinda suck. Maybe I'll just say to heck with it and pack something better rest of the week.
I had the fire school scheduled prior to the promotion. They gave me a definite maybe on whether I could take a western trip this summer with the new job LOL. I really hope I get to go since I've been busting my ass getting ready and fit for it but honestly I wouldn't blame them if they said no since it's a new position and thus lots of new work to be done.
My busy schedule and the high reps lately finally got the better of doomage today. Only got a 30 minute walk in at fire school over lunch and 30 minutes tonite on the elliptical. My knees said "nuh-uh no you don't!" to anything else, so I listened and gave them a rest. I wonder if stage 7 was the best combination with this...hmm.
Man, what a crappy week! That was no way to start the June Doom thing. And I see Diane has had to change her plans too. Oh well, it was a fun idea while it lasted LOL. But no plan survives first contact with the enemy so off we go to make adjustments
Ever since I went back off low carb my eats have been...hmmm...tracked, watched, under overall caloric control...but beyond that they have been fer crap. Time to tighten down there and get with the program. Whole foods, lower on the food chain and the processing chain. Measured. Balanced. And hit that protein target.
I'll do weights 3x/wk, SS cardio between and at least once a week HIIT since it's sooo good for firefighting conditioning. One or two rest days in there to have some flexibility with my scheduling too. The low weight high reps with a morning and evening session was killing my knees which made for unplanned rest days.
Gotta keep on keepin' on.
Got 2 hours gardening today so far and will do something for a workout this afternoon/evening that I'll log later.
