Yeah, it sucks alot, but it is getting better as time goes on. We had a mad wild rush there for a minute, but I think we're slowing down a little. maybe And thanks for the comment about the rebellion, it's SO true. I've used it as my mantra lately!

No kidding. It would have helped if I had had a good routine in place before all this started, but of course, I didn't with the holidaze. Plus we were in AZ with family the whole time, so there went any semblance of routine! I'm trying to get back in the game now.

Well, I didn't manage any more workouts this week, so far (btw, I am still doing Pilates every Saturday, so I'm not a total lump), but I did manage to convince myself to play Rock Band and work around the house instead of sit down and play a inactive computer game, so I think that's progress. I've also got a grocery run to do this weekend so I'm going to go through and find more healthy pre-prep recipes that I can do so I'm not freaking out about dinner when I get home. I managed one week a little bit ago where I didn't cook anything from scratch during the week except throwing stuff in the slow cooker and it was HEAVEN. I hope to get there all the time, but with really healthy recipes. This will be easier in the summer since cold foods and raw veggies are fantastic that time of year.

So, other than this, I've been completely exhausted all the time, which isn't helping. I'm not sure what's up, but I feel like the life has been sucked out of me. I can barely open my eyes in the morning, and I hope a good sleep this weekend helps, cuz I can't keep going like this! (I'm sure working out would help!)

I hope everyone has a super weekend!!!

Quick check in:
So I had Pilates yesterday and I went to the grocery store and cooked and played Rock Band, and that's what it took to just get to the 2200 range of calorie burn in order to kill 500 calories a day IF I ate 1700, which is reasonable, but still rough, for me. No wonder I've been gaining weight!

We are going to my Mom's house for dinner today, so it's going to be 3 hours in the car, total, and a bunch of eating, so I'm going to be way over today, I'm sure. The good news is that my Mom is also working on losing weight, so I'm hoping she doesn't make a bunch of junk food! Cuz that's just mean. I should have gotten up early so I could work out, but I really needed sleep after this week. Sunday is the only day I get any rest, so I guess I'm ok with it. Plus the CEO is in town this week, so I'm going to need all the energy that I can find to handle him being here!

Alright, have to dash and get ready to go. I hope everyone has a great day!

So, I have a chance to do a bodpod reading for $50 at the end of March. What say you? Should I do it? It's a local running store.

I'm wondering about it because I'm not sure it really matters to me what the results are. I don't know if it would help or hurt.

In other news...

I finally kicked these couple of lbs that had been hanging around and I'm starting to see some progress. I haven't been so great about my workouts, but I'm doing good with the food. Not great, but good. I'm trying to track, but it's not really happening. The good news there is, apparently, even if I just threaten myself to track, it helps me eat better Who knew?

Hopefully, I'm on the right path here. I've been SUPER lazy this weekend (which turned into a long weekend - since I got a snow day today ), but I'm starting to feel better and more motivated and less stressed overall. It doesn't hurt that my boss got fired last week! He was really hindering us and causing me a lot of stress, so I'm glad he's moved on.

So, I think that about says it all for me right now. Just sittin' here, waiting for spring!!

Hey, what a coincidence, I am waiting for spring, too! LOL

I think you know I am a fan of the Bodpod and I say if there is any part of you, that is remotely curious - do it.
I am giggling at the threat of tracking working for you! Whatever it takes, huh? And congrats on your progress!

Well... I got a free bodpod reading and it threw me for a major loop... I think I was better off with a consistent measure (calipers) that I could see RELATIVE change. I'm not one who needed to know an "exact" number as long as I knew I was losing fat... so the higher number upset me too much.

If you don't feel you've had an accurate number done, and/or you'd have a chance to do it again to view progress, then it'd be good. Otherwise, you need to decide what value you'd get from a one-time reading...

I'm with Bytsi. If you can have it done again later on (to check progress) then it's probably a good thing. As a one off, I'm not sure that it's much help. I'd hoped to get one done months ago, but never got a reply from the one University that appeared to do them for the public. I'm tempted to try them again, but we'll see. Although, perhaps I'd rather not know.

Thanks for the input, all. The BodPod people are located in Annapolis, so I think I could get one done again. To do it again would be $75, so it's not too bad. This time is a discount for the running store, and it's a portable bodpod, which is interesting. I still haven't decided, but i haven't had time to think about it, lately.

Because.....
work is a nightmare. I just got finished and it's after 10pm. Apart from my 30 min drive home and 15 mins to eat, I haven't stopped working since 9 am. Shoot me now! I'm so exhausted and pissed off. Basically two different people in my company made two rather big mistakes, and I had to pay for it. Actually one of those people made two mistakes, so I've cleaned up three messes in one day. I'm really over it right now.

I also had five guys for dinner last night (burger and fries) and burger king tonight (you guessed it, burger and fries) Thankfully, I'm holding steady at 176, but it's certainly not going to go down, eating like that, and not exercising. I gotta tell you, too, being exhausted is not helping me want to eat better, either! (may have also had a gigantic cupcake today - cuz I thought I'd get a good dinner and workout!) Argh!

I do have some good news, and that's that on Monday I did hill intervals and walked for an hour on the TM, and on Tuesday I ran 2 miles, so I'm getting there. It may be painfully slow, but I am at least trying now. I can't wait for daylight savings this weekend and beautiful weather. Unless something awful happens, I plan to be outside as much as possible!

TGIF people!!!!!

(well in an hour and a half it will be!)

YUCK on all the work! (but it's good to be needed???)

Sorry you're struggling with food... hopefully once you get back into the swing with workouts you'll be more inspired to eat better (and maybe have TIME to plan your food!)

Sorry about the issues with work. I know when I get busy having some 'go to' meals in the freezer is a big help. The only think with that is you need to make some time (before the crazy time) to get them in.

I'm so ready for the nice weather! Our one beautiful day has turned into cold and raining. The only positive thing is that it isn't snow.

OMG Hai!

If you still happen to be subscribed to this thread, I'm sure you were shocked to see it come up with a new post Hopefully this will be the start of a nice long streak of posting. Well, there's going to be a bit of a break in there as I go to GA next week to be in a wedding, but after that I'm FREE! By that I mean I quit my job!!!!!
As you all saw towards the end of my posting it got really bad, and bad went to worse. Then they fired my counterpart and brought in a new manager that I don't like and said screw it, I'm out. I gave my unnecessary two weeks (it's a right to work agreement, but I decided to be nice and take one more paycheck) and my last day is Friday! Rock on.

So, quitting my job will mean a lot more time for me to take care of me and my life. I've gained over ten lbs since I started this log and my fitness has fallen off quite a bit. Part of the reason that I'm posting here now is that I've tried on the bridesmaid's dress that I have to wear in exactly two weeks and it doesn't exactly zip up at the top Now the zipper is b!tch and I have a hard time with it when it's off my body, but I can tell that there's a lot of extra fattyness blocking the way as well. Thankfully I always lose weight top down, and I think if I peel off a couple of lbs that it will go on better. I know it's insane to be thinking about this so late in the game, but it seems to have taken this long to sink in. I've been thinking about losing weight since I bought the damn thing, and nothing has motivated me. It's amazing how well I've managed to fool myself about the whole process. Somehow today I managed to grow the will power and focus, and hopefully 2 weeks will be just enough for the damn thing to zip (that and the super undergarments I have )

In addition to all this, DH and I are still trying to get pregnant. Fun times, really, so I won't be going over the edge (crash dieting, taking weird pills) - not that I would do that anyhow. Either way, there's going to be some pregnancy commentary spattered in here and there.

So, I guess that's where I'm at. I was reading over some previous posts and remembering how hard it was to do REPAIR and I know that I can do that again. I'm shooting fo 1600 calories now, and I'm sure I can do it. I just have to track like it's my job and cut out some ridiculous things I've been eating lately. Hopefully even dumping some water that I'm retaining from eating salty junk and alcohol will help.

Ok, that's enough rambling for now! I'm off to get some silver shoes to go with this dress and then come home and do some light running. I know better than to kill myself too much or I will be starving all the damn time and have no self control. I also need to hit the grocery store and get some fruit and veggies so I have some snacks.

I hope all the Moms reading this have a super Mother's day! and everyone has a great Sunday!

In a way, congrats about the job. Seriously, there's nothing worse than being trapped in a job you're beginning to hate. My dad worked at a place he hated (I'm sure not at the start) for almost 30 years. It made him a sad, bitter person.

As for the dress... good luck! And welcome back (so to speak).

Today was absolutely insane. My company deployed an "upgrade" that broke more than in improved so I spent all day dealing with angry clients. Every time I closed a trouble ticket, two more were open in it's place. Oy! Days like these remind me why I quit!

Anyhow, I'm doing really well with the dieting. Surprisingly well. It's a little freaky, actually. Sunday was rough, but since then my appetite has been totally manageable. I'm lower in calories than I ever thought I could manage. I guess not fitting into a dress for your friend's wedding is stellar motivation. Anyhow, I've been eating between 1200 and 1500 calories. I haven't seen a ton of movement yet, except with water fluctuations, but I'm trying remain confident. I don't really have any other choice.

I also managed a run today and a run on Sunday. I have Pilates tomorrow and we leave on Saturday. I hope to get a couple of easy runs in while we're gone as well. I'm trying to take it easy so I don't make my appetite explode. I was fine on Monday after running Sunday, but I'm not sure about tomorrow. I got really sick while I was running and only ate half my dinner, so I'm sure I will be hungry tomorrow, either way. I just hope it's not too bad, since I've been doing so well. It would be great if I lose at this level and can maintain it now that I know I can do it. Only time will tell, I guess

Wow... sorry you got sick running. Probably from lack of fuel... I find that my appetite increases a LOT if I do intense exercise... I really have to listen to Leigh's advice about "less is more" when cutting...

Have fun at the wedding!!!

Thanks! I think the being sick was because my tummy was pretty empty and because a med that I'm on for the getting PG causes some nausea. Is ok, though. I still haven't puked yet, so I'm ok with it!

My appetite seems fine today, even after a fairly quick 2 miles yesterday. Weight was down today, so I'm happy as a clam. I just hope it's enough to get that darn zipper closed!

Hi there! It's amazing what a damn dress can do for your motivation, huh? I've been doing the same exact thing. Mine finally fits, but I started quite a while ago freaking out about it.
