Thank you everyone! I stuffed myself silly at dinner last night. We went to Jeff Ruby's Carlo and Johnny in Montgomery, and I had
1 Kobe beef slider
3/4 of my Fillet Mignon
Small serving of 5 cheese mac and cheese
Glass of Red Wine
Creme Brulee

I was stuffed last night, and woke up a pound lighter than I was yesterday morning. I'm boggling over that. Last night I died and went to heaven, and it was a steakhouse. It was incredible. We dressed up, and I was wearing an LBD, and went to put my napkin in my lap and our server took it from us and said "we'll bring you a black napkin so you don't get white on your black dress." It was all very very delicious and I felt very special

That's my kind dinner! Yum. And you weigh less? It doesn't look like you really overdid it though, although you said you stuffed yourself, and maybe that was weight that was getting ready to fall from your previous efforts. Mmmm....creme brulee...heaven. It is rare to find a restaurant that serves it. I don't care what plan I'm on, if creme brulee is in the house forget it. Did someone else eat the other 1/4 of your filet mignon or did you save it. That is funny about the napkin. Glad you so thoroughly enjoyed your birthday!

Nobody else ate it, and I'm not much for leftovers so we did not save it. It was heavenly . They topped the creme brulee with raspberries. I love it, and can't make it myself (getting a good sugar crust is hard w/o a kitchen torch). I've only had it a total of three or four times in my life, and when he said that I said "yes, please!"

Maybe that weight was ready to fall, we'll see if it holds or if it's just water

Rest is good, and something that we don't always plan for. Setting a specific date is good though - enjoy your rest week!

Thanks Anne. I've been feeling burned out at the gym and tired, so I decided to take a week off and then come back all super strong and fab!

How is the rest going? I always have more trouble with my eating when I'm not really working out.

my eating has been kind of weird.. I'm not super diet strict, I try for 1g of protein per pound of body weight per day, and I've lost a pound of water this week.. I am pretty sure that part of the run down feeling was the cold that I'd been fighting off for a few weeks. It finally caught me and kicked my butt. Today I'm curled up on the couch with a fever. All I've been able to eat today was 3/4 of a green salad with no dressing, 1.5 mini cheeseburgers (sliders?) and a small piece of cake at a baby shower...

Yesterday I had

Yogurt mixed with Kashi heart to heart
Laughing cow cheese wedge with crackers
1 serving of shepherd's pie made with extra beef and veggies
lamb shoulder chop with 1/2 cup sauteed onion; 2 cups of green salad
orange juice.

I want to lose a little bit more fat round my middle, but I worry about becoming smaller. I already look really petite (I'm 5'1 and 110 lbs in a size 2) and I'm happy with my size, but think I could stand to lose about 2-3 lbs worth of fat. I don't know how that looks in my pictures, though.

You look pretty slim in your pictures. I admit I know nothing about it, but, maybe it's time for a bulk (build up some muscles) and then a cut (to show them). Anyway, take care of yourself - the colds going around this last little while seem nasty and everyone I know who has been sick seems to drag on with it.

I think that you may be right, Anne. I was thinking of going from NROL Strength 1 to Hypertrophy to Fat Loss and see where I am from there..

Sounds like a great idea to me. 2-3# fat might not even bother you or show at all if you do a bulk and add some lean mass... or it might just burn away...

And feel better!

Thanks bytsi. I think I may need to get ontop of my diet a bit more and really work on lifting hard. The goal for me now isn't so much changing my shape, but changing how I look from "soft" to "firm"

I hope you feel better. I would def. agree with you about trying the Hypertrophy then Fat Loss. Muscle building/fat loss has a lot to do with diet also. I too struggle with finding the right balance. I found FLTS helpful, if you want to pick that up for getting macros down and getting rid of fat.

I'm feeling a wee better. I'm having to really pay attention to how my chest is feeling now because I want to be back in the gym and went back tonight, but I don't want to push myself too hard, especially since this cold really aggravated my asthma..

Lots of NEAT this weekend: 3 hours at the mall on Saturday; 3 hours at the zoo yesterday. Today we're going to play basketball and I'm going to try to get some lifting in a little later tonight.
