Damn Steph.... I think I missed these! FANTASTIC job!!!!

Thanks, everyone.........but, the sad news is.......I'm struggling and have been the last few months. It seems to be the same thing as always. I do awesome for awhile, and then I just back slide. I really have to stop this cycle. Leigh has been wonderful and so encouraging, yet I still find myself "stalling and slipping" instead of her "get in and get it done" approach.
I'm sticking with everything and I'm not down and out. I just have to find a way to move around this pattern that I tend to get into. I'd like to say that I'm taking the "scenic" route rather than the direct one, but that is just another excuse.
I'm considering starting the "Beck Solution" books again. I started them last fall and never did finish......maybe I need to start over again with that as well. Any one have other suggestions for reading that may help?
Sooooooooooooooooooo.........a s always, I'll keep trying and work my way around this and get back on track. Afterall, there is an "OFFICIAL CHALLENGE" that I'm working on, right?

I don't know what advice to give, because different people respond to different motivations... does the challenge motivate you? How about challenging YOURSELF to make it different this time - do NOT repeat that pattern again. Have you taken time to reward yourself for the progress you HAVE made? Don't ignore the small victories along the way - don't lose sight of the battles won and only notice the final not-yet-achieved outcome...
"Just do it", right?
I think you need some kitteh's...

I'm sorry that you're struggling. I hope you find a way to get back on track. I can't offer any words of wisdom, just best wishes.

Stephanie,
Sending encouragement your way...I can identify with your struggle, as most of us probably can. I also tend to be "perfect" for quite a while but when I fall off the wagon it's a big fall. Keep taking it one step at a time, okay?

I'm SO with you Stephanie... I've been struggling too. Are you interested in going through the Beck Diet book together? I have it and have never finished it either.....
Hang in there! We CAN do this!

The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield, Mark Hanson and Les Hewitt. I dare say you don't need any more information on what to do with respect to your diet. Perhaps some reading on how to center and focus you goals would do better for you? I think you also need to perhaps realize that to fail is human and not beat yourself about it so much. If you read any books at all about people who have achieved greatness the one thing I find these people all seem to have in common is lots and lots of failures. When I am mentoring young people about my job or my guitar playing I always point out that I am where I am today because of the many falls I took on my way to this place and what I did after those falls. People who are not failing are not pushing themselves. Every day when I lie down to rest I reflect on the day and remember what thing I did this day that really made me uncomfortable. If it is nothing I know I need to go out and try harder the next day. You are pushing yourself and you are learning. Those are admirable attributes.
Hope to see ya around again soon!

Been thinking about you and wondering where you are in all of this. You know you can do this.

wow, steph, your photos are amazing!
i worked through the beck diet workbook when it first came out and found it very focusing. i've tried twice since and just couldn't get back into it. i really liked having that daily reflection on where i stand and a kick in the pants when i need it.
i was foundering a bit right before this second challenge. i've been doing this a loooong time and i was running out of steam. but the challenge has been a second wind. i changed up my diet and exercise and i am making progress again. and i dropped out of the first challenge and am intent to see this one through!
hoping you find your mojo again!
